Is it me, or did he have another couple hundredths to shave off on the 2nd curb of the chicane at the end?
Not saying this lap isn't perfection - but I think he has room to go 1,46.xx
Honestly it's literally just .010 I think he can break the :47 barrier at any part of the track
He can save another hundredths in particular at 130R. If he's a bit more smooth and lets the car run wide it's possible to not lose any speed going there

Do you mean cutting more of the 2nd apex, or running wider on the exit?

The chicane at Suzuka is always a trade off - if you cut more of the 2nd apex, you have to wait a fraction longer for the LHS rear tyre to get off the kerb before you can fully pick up the throttle... if you carry more speed through the 2nd apex, and run wider on the exit kerb, you accelerate slower with the 2 RHS wheels on the kerb.

There might be a fraction left, but the lap looks pretty close to perfect to me.

Agreed, just hate to see .011 off of breaking the 47's, I hope somebody can get into the 46's today (I'll be happy to get into the 49's or 50's......)

I am running some laps in the NSX and these Gr.2 cars are allot of fun. Crazy power out of the exits so gotta be carefull. I am at 1:48.708 right now with optimal around 1:48.3 but so hard to put together. A 47 will be impossible for me i guess.

You can tell the kids are back from school

You are a very very respectful driver, but I think faaaaaaar to cautious.
This is exactly why I avoid daily A/B though as the races are too short that unless you're qualifying right at the front with other very clean drivers, people will try very aggressive overtakes.
For example, at 2:30 - I think you absolutely need to defend the inside line, make him go the long way around, instead you gave space, ended up being pushed wide - and got passed by another.

Oooooh. Gamers are gaming. And not drivers are racing.
How come that the divebomber, who screwed up your first turns is on the 3rd place without even a red dot?!? God bless PD's penalty system. (And what it teaches to the kids.)

You are right. I generally do I think, I was just concentrating on what was in front of me at that moment. Lapse of concentration really.

Got the other two Gr2 cars, dolled them up then did some pre-qualification. Too sleepy. I was all over the place. I'm obviously a danger to myself and others, so no 2nd race for me tonight. Too bad, was looking forward to the show :dopey:.

Yeah that guy was in my next race too. He'd moved up to DR B rating.

I beat my target of getting into the 48‘s :dopey: 48.959, opt. was a .5 and maybe if I get it together I can squeeze out a .6 or .7 but I‘m not really a fan of hotlapping and since I‘ve planned to not race much today I‘ll keep that time.
Let‘s see how the races are :gtpflag:

I'm gonna get some food, a cuppa, then I'm having a go myself. Hopefully catch you on at some point.

Good luck by the way :gtpflag:

I have faith in you. No supper for you until 1.47.xxx :D
Haha thanks but it gonna need to be a miracle of a lap for me. I improved to 1:48.615 with optimal of 48.2 but it think i am gonna do some races next.

Still a pretty good laptime should have you start near the front i reckon. I'll do some races to. I find consistency to be very important round here. Its very easy to make a small mistake and lose allot of time at Suzuka.

You have to be extra careful with the NSX. It's the least stable of the three...on Suzuka I prefer the Lexus.

I've just done about 5 laps in the NSX. !.50.033 but really don't like it. Not gonna race these. It'll be a **** show. Gonna try the GTR and Lexus after food, but I don't envisage the racing to be very clean. They'll be accidents everywhere I'm guessing.

Gr3 at Lagos for me tonight I think.

*I'm longing to be able to change the diff sensitivity to kill the ultra crazy throttle response.

Suzuka is typically pretty clean, even the GR.1 races at Suzuka are pretty clean.
It's a narrow track with only a few good passing opportunities, I'm definitely going to be doing these races tonight.

Let me know how you get on. I don't think I'll be risking it, even for a biscuit.

Hating Interlagos and being disgusted with the understeerathon which is race A, I decided to try out Gr. 2.
Bought a Lexus, did a few Q laps, got a 1:49.xxx and thought I'd try a race.

I've been matched with S/S and A/S drivers lately so expected to be a back marker in an Alien lobby but found myself on pole in a session with only B/S drivers. Quickly opened a 2 second gap to a trio of pursuers and stayed there until the guys behind me messed up towards the end. A comfortable win in the end. Not what I would call a comfortable drive though :D

Having watched that 1:47.010 lap earlier really helped me. Thx for posting @Alpha Cipher

First win with wheel has came!

Race from 7:30min:

Under high pressure from Ferrari, even too high in first two lap.
Then I did another one with trying to get FL too, hat-trick precisely (not bcs of achievs, that times are gone for me)...

I‘m out for today, had two really good races and one where I screwed up everything you could at Suzuka  Went wide in T1, twice in Spoon and spun around in Dunlop :banghead: P5 to P3 (iirc) and then to P12, did an undercut in L4 but had to save fuel then and finished 8th.
The last race was amazing tho. Started P4, drafted past P3 in L2 and then @Shottah072 spun himself out in Dunlop, I barely managed to not crash into him but then had a nice fight with him for 5 laps :dopey: Always kept the gap between .5 and 1 seconds, but no stupid moves or unfair attacks
