Well, after 864 races and 25 victories in the Daily Race A, I have finally won my first “big boy” race. Daily Race B winner!

Tsukaba last night was fun to drive, yet too many frustrated people around. First race I was still rusty and not able to avoid most of the rammers and ended up in SR.A right after finishing 13th. It was a flashing PENALTY ram fest. I got lapped as well after having to server over 10 sec of penalties twice, and it seems I was the only one actually moving over for the blue flag lol.

The next race in SR.A was much better, probably because I started near the top. I only got bumped from behind once for a minor penalty (got to drive around with that flashing penalty sign if you want to or not) and climbed to 2nd place, some way behind a C/S driver working on fixing his recent reset. It got me back to 96 SR, back to the danger zone.

The third race actually went great for the first half. Started 8th, managed to get in first and led for about 8 laps until I made a minor mistake and 2nd place managed to get in draft range in lap 20. He then dove in on me before I could extend the lead again, bumped me wide and went wide himself, 1 sec penalty. 3rd place took the opportunity and bumped passed me while I was getting back up to speed, +2 sec penalty. Then before I could catch first, the original bumper bumped me from behind again another 3 times so now my total was 6 sec and the over taker with 2 sec had extended the gap to 1.8 sec thanks to all the bumping. The car harassing me quit before the end with nearly 20 sec in penalties (he got 4 or 5 sec every time he hit me) and I had to settle for second. Frigging frustrating.

The last race I was patiently behind a slightly slower driver in the first 2 laps, planning to over take carefully. Too bad an aggressive driver behind me drafted me, stuck his nose next to my bumper on the fast right before the finish, then ground his way past me pushing me out of the track. Since he pushed me wide, the next car bump passed me on T1 as well. The car after that throught it was the cool thing to do and bumped me from behind a few times to try to push me wide again yet had to slow down due to getting to many penalties. Meanwhile I'm driving around with 4 sec penalties again from the bumping, add another 1.5 when I have to evade a car and get a detour penalty in the right hander after the hair pin. I lost 4 places at the finish with the penalties, 8th instead of 4th.

Frustrating! God of War was really good the rest of the night :)
Record low for me, only 4 races in a day (my average is 12 a day!)

Nur24h is my facvorite. It's the weekend though, I hope people don't ruin it...

Finished N24. Messy, but not as messy as last time. Thought I was doing ok qualifying P7, then saw P10-18 didn't qualify, and there was a goodly number of DR/Bs in that lot. I did get bumped a few times, and knocked off the track once, but generally the race was clean. All the contact people had hitting me I'm fairly certain were accidental. :dopey:

A brief lapse in concentration and I was into a wall. 10s penalty and that just messed up my rhythm. Spun out on the twisties after the Karussell, which is usually where I make up the most ground. I was finding it hard to get back into the groove after that. In hindsight I should have kept my rubber on instead of changing to a new set of boots. I had to shed 16s of penalties, which I managed. I had a guy pretty close before I was about to start my slow down, so I pulled over and started slowing to let him by. Was a bit disappointed finishing P11, and more annoyed with myself than with the quality of the racing. :irked:

SR dropped 5, DR went up about 50. Another day above DR 1 :D.

Anyone want to share the secret to these sub 1'27.6 or so times then. Maybe I could have improved to a 1'27.9 if I was very lucky but the 1'28.100 reflects my ability pretty well, I just don't have the gift to go alien speed and yet I'm comfortably faster than a lot of other guys. :boggled::lol:

Still a very fast lap time!!

Very funny to exploit the penalty system...

Why did you drive into the back of the idiot who overtook you putting you off track. His move was dirty as ****, but you could see he was braking all the way into that right hander yet drove straight into him? Why? That was on you imo.

its normal to brake for that corner. just not all the way to a stop

I did not expected that he will brake that much. I had no chance.

It's also very easy to enter that corner a little hot, run out of the groove and need to brake further in to avoid going wide. The guys brake lights were on all the way into to that corner.

Top drivers should not be driving that poorly imo. You cannot drive your own lines and points if there is a car in front of you, and there was plenty of time in that instance for contact to be avoided. He is a top rated driver after all.

*I've rewatched it a few times and maybe I was wrong. Sorry @RaceFace85

Just a heads up, starting GP without rolling start leads to massacre xD

Just had a full stop at T1 because literally 15 cars collided and none ghosted :D:D:D

Other than that, people flying into barriers like mad lol

Just noticed a dirty exploit tho, penalized drivers get to ghost through cars, so what they do is keep the penalty and just hotlap thru cars, got taken over by 3 penalized drives the same way...

I think I'm going to be done with this game soon. PD keeps making it worse.

Now cars serving penalties ghost, yet no indication when they unghost. Twice a car is blocking the road, ghosted, so I guess to go through as there is no other option (once on a tight corner exit and once in front of the pit), and it goes solid 1 inch in front of my bumper. Next to that I got pushed into one of those new barriers at the entry to the Nordschleife, completely stuck, last place before I could get the car going again.

It seems the SR hits have been reduced as it's nothing but blue ratings despite pretty much everyone still having the red dot and flashing penalty signs.

So getting a small penalty is beneficial now? Faster guy can just drive through other cars if stuck in traffic?

Clean race bonus on daily A, got 2 sr.. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Shoulda known better than to race Brand's.. 5k dr points drop :/

Yep, driver with penalty just drives thru cars.

Can someone post the Asian/Oceania top 10 for race c?

Curious about which car they're using. Someone did a 8.03 there lol

How can one do this? Hoooooow???

Freaking brake to serve a penalty after Flugplatz at Nordschleife! When there's like 846274km long straight at that track...

Oh and of course, I got 4 second penalty out of it. He got 1 second....

The RCZ is a great option for those who want to try something different in the Nurburgring 24 race C. It allows you to avoid pitting without having to save fuel constantly. It works well if you don't want or don't have the time to set a quick qualifying lap and find yourself starting in the middle/rear of the starting grid, which means queueing behind a bunch of cars especially on the old layout, unless you want to go for risky moves and lots of penalties. This allows you to sit behind these cars short-shifting and using the slipstream to save fuel without losing too much time. No need to change the fuel map from 1 either. Everybody seem to go for the pit at the end of the 1st lap, which means you'll have a clear track ahead for the final lap. You'll have to deal with worn tires towards the end but not having to constantly slow down because of slower cars or accidents on the Nordschleife massively makes up for slower tires. Also, the RCZ isn't the fastest in its class but I find it quite well balanced and fun to drive.
I've tried this for a bunch of races and always ended up gaining positions (DR:A/SR:S). The only downside is that I had some people which clearly don't know how racing works, complaining about being slowed down when they catch up in the 2nd lap. This despite never blocking them and actually making their life easier, letting them through if they're a lot faster. I guess they expect you to move over like if you're lapped, while you're legitimately leading the race.

I had that happen twice at Tsukuba last night. The first time I wasn't prepared for it. The second time I was, except the ghosted car swerved back into the racing line at exactly the wrong time.

I mean, really, is anyone at PD paying attention to this?

Sadly as long as PD continues to allow people to scrub penalties, people are going to do stuff like this to try to optimize their penalty situation and create road hazards for others. Scrubbing needs to be removed, full stop. I also think they should be served in the pit at least on longer races, but I'd be happy just to see scrubbing taken out and all penalties get added to the time at the end.
