Yes I'm another fan but I'd say most of the faster guys likely use bumper cam but I'm just not comfortable using that view.

Most of the quick drivers I see use hood view, don’t like it myself feels like a weird perspective to drive from. Cockpit all the way for me!!

DT is fun though only had chance for about 10 quali laps got my time down to 1.28.6 so not too bad bit more time in it yet though, no time to race again though!

On another note, changed my mind about GR2. Since switching to bonnet view and having so much more control over the car I’ve really enjoyed tonight’s racing, I didn’t know what to expect (its Dragon Trail after all...) especially after having the rear view camera taken away. Only a couple of times I really could have used it, but weirdly I must have ghosted a few times and dive bombers passed right through me!

Which brings me to the highlight of my night, a guy tried bombing me on final lap and failed, then did it again a couple of turns later and got past me, just ghosted straight through me. Binned his car at the bus stop, I did the biggest Mrs Crabapple “Ha!” ever.

After tumbling down the Dr ratings in the last several days, Interlagos (yesterday) brought me back to Dr A and Dragon Trail (today) helped me bring my Dr to 35,898, which is the highest it has ever been!

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I have a video in need of some scrutiny and guidance regarding my GR2 race today at DT. As I'm not the most computer saavy guy in the world, could someone please offer up some guidance for uploading YouTube videos to this thread. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I did try searching the site for tips, but no such luck.

Nope. No thank you. Way too fast for me. No way I could match my QT with others racers around.

Completed the Gr2. League Challenge easily. But Sport mode feels faster. Less stable.

It feels like there's potholes in some spots. Didn't make me crash. Just temporary loss of control.

Is just in my head?

You should try the Weekly Race Series (WRS) a part of the gts online racing league

How'd you do that ._. I could barely get under 1:43 with the audi, like two whole seconds slower than the porsche

edit: oh you mean the VGT. I thought you meant the le mans

That's pretty hard to tell in that format, it looks like a very poorly executed dive bomb. Perhaps he was trying to manipulate the penalty system as a hit directly from behind would have given him a bigger penalty, normally... If it was revenge, it could always be mistaken identity.


I was getting a bit more faith in the penalty system until this

I'm taking the corner normally, he's half a second behind, brakes too late, hits my bumper, I get 2 sec penalty (he gets one) and I lose 6 SR for the race for that one incident. Oddly almost the exact same thing happened in a later race and nobody got a penalty. (Difference was that person hit me on the side instead of the back) It's still a guessing game.

Here I keep my distance in T1 exactly for what happens next. The car in front of me follows too close, taps the car in front of him. I catch the problem in time, slow down, get tapped from behind and still end up with a penalty... Actually the car that followed too close caused 4 cars (him included) to end up with a penalty. The flashing sign parade.

Despite the minor grievances from the penalty system I had plenty great races on DT in GR.2. My best finish was second, pretty good as the rooms were fast. I even had one with only A+ and A drivers, a rarity nowadays. I went up almost 4K DR, back up to 38K now. The minor SR loss was gone soon enough with no further red ratings (for me). Fun track car combo!

And it seems to me as it was totally unintentional; the GT should be watching for the other GT and a defensive line - and sadly missed the Prototype. Or thought the proto will pass quicker. So even if it ends quite the same, it seems a lot different ;)
 
The Gr.2 race at DT Seaside saw me start 12th, finish 5th. It also saw me start a new clean race streak. However, at the race results screen, my SR letter was red (still S though). Looking at my stats on KudosPrime revealed that the last race had docked one point from my SR. One point. For no apparent reason. :odd:

Yes they could have made it Gr3 for a little change or raced Gr.4 at another track but I quite like this combo. :)

I've been making lemonade and taking the opportunity to try out different Gr.4 cars. I think I'm gonna try with the Corvette again, seen as it's been mothballing in my garage ever since Interlagos in December. :lol:
 
God damn it.. Last night was on the verge of getting back to SR:S and then the spanish inquisition came. Same dude kept hitting me and punting me and of course I got penalties more than him. When he failed to sideslam me he divebombed me in the next corner. -35 SR in one race. Before that I was just a hair under SR:S. Gotta say it's gotten even more dirty in the last two months or so.. I understand protecting first place with some degree of dirt but seriously, who cares about 6th place so much that you have to bump and slam everyone trying to get past you..

Gr2 @ DT was fun driving though.. Shame I didn't have more time.

Also gotta say the RC F seems to bee way too OP in Gr2. I've driven the NSX easily the most from the three cars. I think I did like 12 qt laps in it. Did just two in RC F and was a second faster.

Wow GrB on the infield is like skating on ice. Saw my SR go from S to B to A tonight on DT, so I think I'll take a pass on Race B. I have a feeling Blue Moon is going to haunted today (ghosts everywhere). :scared: :lol: And Tokyo, well it's Tokyo 'nuff said. At least we have Brands. I was hoping for another Gr2 race (Nordschleife please PD).
