Lol... thought Race C is BS... i have done only one race on that layout, 4 weeks ago, with N300 class (@Nuschel01 can remember it :D), and now, after do some qualifiying, landed on place 8 in Top 10... maybe i race this today... :D:scared:

Yes it's a decent track actually but I'm rubbish at those hairpins, could maybe be top (for now) otherwise. Also the two races I've had may be the last, as I may have no time. It should have been two wins also but contact in the second hairpin gave me unfair penalties, 4 seconds first race dropped me to 2nd but only got 1 second next race so still won.

Yeah I do. What a PoS the TTS was :dunce:

Haha, true, it was with TT. Chaotic... :D

But for only doing two races you scored quite good :D

Lol... hopefully today better than at that time... :D:D

Just had a mixed mag of a race. On one side I had a good challenge with a driver who knocked me off but politely let me past him after. And then shocking driving by another who not only was aggressive as ever but had in big letters F YOU on the back of his car. Came in 6th. Still I enjoyed it over all

Did 2 x Race B Group 4 Lago Maggiore this morning, before deciding not to bother any more. This is why:

The lobbies were both 3 A+ DR / SR S drivers and the rest A/S, Grid 3 start both times (laptime 2:03.7xx), respectful and clean battling for the lead in both races, terribly over zealous stewarding by PD penalty system in 1st race, disconnected during last lap lead battle in 2nd race....2000 DR lost.....official FIA season starts in 2 weeks., lobbies and, therefore, points will be based upon DR...

Regarding the 1st race penalties, my car was hit very slightly and insignificantly 2 times:

Penalty 1 - On the outside line and overtaking, The guy in front out-braked himself in T1, as we were approaching T2, I was on the outside and the guy on the inside ran into me a little bit as he rejoined the track - this is a normal part of racing, especially when overtaking. No harm was done, except for the stupid "penalties for both" nonsense.

Penalty 2 - in the braking zone, small touch from P3 at T2 . Again, no harm done, except for the ridiculous penalties.

These penalties have the power to ruin already established, respectful and friendly relationships between drivers and, therefore, damage the GT Sport community spirit.

I received a 1 second penalty for both of these non-incidents and the other drivers, according to the displayed information, got 4 seconds each. All undeserved. Somehow, at the end of the race, when I scrubbed my 2 seconds off, the other drivers had both lost their bigger penalties, despite being close behind me for the remainder of the race after their penalties and the replay not showing they scrubbed off the penalty!!???? I think the answer is that they were not A+ and therefore the penalty system goes easier on them and lies on the display ???!!!

Results are online, it was ok for you :p

Due to lag their game never detected contact and thus they never received any penalty

Not sure about racing the Gr.2 cars on Infield, I like both the track and the cars but the combination? :scared:

What's the deal with cars in the back getting a head start?

On standing starts some cars are quicker off the line. For rolling starts, certain tracks have the guys at the back released from auto drive in a higher gear than guys at the front.

And then shocking driving by another who not only was aggressive as ever but had in big letters F YOU on the back of his car.

That's a bit rude. I don't notice what's on the back of most cars in my races, they are usually the livery they came with. Mine, if there's room optimistically have chopped fingers.... I'm usually the one who gets chopped .

Yeah I usually don't pay attention but it was bold. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to verse one of you guys, though I'm just on controller

That's silly. Cars below 10th place are slowed way down, while cars from 11th back are kept at a higher pace. I was in both scenarios. Messes up the start into turn 1, even more.

Thank you Nuschel01, for this explanation, it makes sense. Congrats on your Tsukuba Manufacturer's win last week as well. My PSN is trevisio, I was 5th in that race.

The explanation does raise the question of gaming the lag / connection speed having benefits. My internet showed all green bars lit up in those races, as usual. The other drivers that I mentioned had connections less than full green bars. Maybe we all should download / stream movies during our racing, to avoid penalties!!

Thanks  That was a really good race but I guess you were struggeling with the tires a bit towards the end of the stints :D I got the replay of my drive posted in the FIA thread here and F4H Rosso also got his race on YouTube.

The lag and collision detection has become worse with the most recent update, let's hope they'll at least fix it a bit in the next one :nervous:

Another day, another case...

Who have the fault in this first situation??:

And after that, he made this to me...

The first video wasn't good from either of you, it's the first corner why even put your car in that position, although they could and should have seen you and gave you more room but the second video is just disgusting from them and is the sort of thing that should be a ban. I hope you reported them.

Who have the fault in this first situation??:

He did barge pass in on you. His bad.

However, after the barge pass he's there on the inside and legally or illegally you can't just turn in on him and hit him. The collision is your fault but that doesn't excuse his bad barge pass.

I feel that you should have gone two wide on the outside, limiting his exit line and cutting his speed. He probably would have not adjusted and rammed you into the wall on the exit line, but then it would be his fault and not yours.

I think you made a great move in the first video. Kid is a sore loser to take you out for such minor contact that could have been avoided had s/he looked at his/hers radar. I hope you reported them.

So the 'vette works ok on the ring huh? I went with the Viper and was wishing I'd gone with my usual for N24, the RSR.

Race A sounds more like a nightmare :yuck:!

No racing for me tonight. The Gran Turismo curse has hit again. with GT4 it was the first joints in my index fingers from shifting doing all the endurance races. With GTS it's my thumbs :grumpy:. Had to grip the wheel IRL like I was going offroad .

Not sure why more people don't use it there... I had a 8.08 in qualifying with it... feels much nicer than the AMG to me.

I enjoy the Vette, suits my driving style and it seems to be faster in a few corners. However in a C race I always lose time in the pit. I enter the pit some times down to 16% fuel while others come in with up to 36%. Any passes I set up on the straight were usually undone after the pit. I don't mind, over take again.

Ah, KP is back online. Nurb24 did all right for me again this weekend, up 4K DR, now 42.4K. Most from the Vette, the one make on Saturday initially reduced my DR a bit.

To make the curve better??

Report?? On GT Sport?? How can i do that??

The one who made contact on first corner it has HIM, so i am not responsible for that collision. You can cleary see that.

Finally someone understand. lol

People need to serve their penalty straight away. The red dunce cap cars don't ghost any longer and just ruin the racing for that position.

When I've gotten a penalty, I move clear out the way. I saw one player finish the race in 4th and had 28 seconds of penalties! Come now...

Another race, I got a penalty because of an early braker at Turn 1. I get hit from behind and pushed into the wall. I still have forward motion into the hairpin. I get a penalty. I moved right off the track and two cars STILL slammed into me.

Wasn't aware of the consumption as I didn't get chance to race - ran 4 qualifying laps for a TT Championship I'm running, then had other stuff to do.

Are you changing gear at c.6k?

@ShadowPeter To report someone click on their name on the screen at the end of the race and select report for interfering with the race, or something like that. Revenge take outs have to be ban worthy, regardless of who was at fault originally.

Don't serve it right away, it only invites more incidents. Half the incidents I see happening are from cars slowing down to serve penalties.

I drive AT, my fingers already start hurting without shifting...

Does anyone know how the pit stop penalties were served during the world tour races this weekend?

They could be adding this to the game because as of right now (and bear in mind my experience with the game is still fairly limited) I don’t see how this could be implemented in practice.

Oh I see now, I had your roles reversed. The barge pass you pulled is a little iffy, but that corner is so huge and stuff happens

So you were cursing at him in PM after the race? The way you posted it, I assumed that he was being vulgar with you. Bad form man.
