Did 2 x Race B Group 4 Lago Maggiore this morning, before deciding not to bother any more. This is why:
The lobbies were both 3 A+ DR / SR S drivers and the rest A/S, Grid 3 start both times (laptime 2:03.7xx), respectful and clean battling for the lead in both races, terribly over zealous stewarding by PD penalty system in 1st race, disconnected during last lap lead battle in 2nd race....2000 DR lost.....official FIA season starts in 2 weeks., lobbies and, therefore, points will be based upon DR...
Regarding the 1st race penalties, my car was hit very slightly and insignificantly 2 times:
Penalty 1 - On the outside line and overtaking, The guy in front out-braked himself in T1, as we were approaching T2, I was on the outside and the guy on the inside ran into me a little bit as he rejoined the track - this is a normal part of racing, especially when overtaking. No harm was done, except for the stupid "penalties for both" nonsense.
Penalty 2 - in the braking zone, small touch from P3 at T2 . Again, no harm done, except for the ridiculous penalties.
These penalties have the power to ruin already established, respectful and friendly relationships between drivers and, therefore, damage the GT Sport community spirit.
I received a 1 second penalty for both of these non-incidents and the other drivers, according to the displayed information, got 4 seconds each. All undeserved. Somehow, at the end of the race, when I scrubbed my 2 seconds off, the other drivers had both lost their bigger penalties, despite being close behind me for the remainder of the race after their penalties and the replay not showing they scrubbed off the penalty!!???? I think the answer is that they were not A+ and therefore the penalty system goes easier on them and lies on the display ???!!!
