Would spice it up if there was a hot hatches race, rather than the one make race with vehicles you can't apply liveries to. Such a waste.

Would like to see some of them art (vision GT) cars in one make races. Seems like a waste not using them

Don't fancy the races today - ran a dozen laps round Mount Panorama, got my daily bonus - Ferrari F40, nice, and then turned the ps4 off for the rest of the day !!!

Damn, the penalties in the second chicane at Monza are hard. You can't drive in there like in real life. Even the Ascari section is a bit strict.

It was tough setting the current top1 time. I'm not sure I'll be racing though... Everything I read about Monza is how bad that first chicane is.

What, did PD make people stay on the actual track? The nerve of them!
Sorry zzz but you are now THE forum track limit guy! I just could not resist the opportunity.
Don't tell that to mattimake on the PCars2 board

Yes, the limits are strict, although they probably have to be here. Not only that but you can get big 10 second penalties for going only slightly off in some places too and 6 second ones that would only be 2 seconds at other tracks, this is only a problem in the race though obviously.

Well, yeah finally. Now I don't have to focus on winning as much as becoming a better AND cleaner driver. ;)

I will still focus on winning if possible but as cleanly as possible.
Being a clean. driver ain´t that difficult.. it´s rather much more difficult to attain and maintain high value SR stats... since the SR penalization system totally sucks!!!! As you are even penalized by being hit by idiot like running drivers (most of the pack.. usually).. :(
:banghead::banghead:

In real racing, in past GT games and on other sims, you can have a different line and not touch the grass. :)

Maggiore is fictional and, at least to me, the track limits are very clear.

iRacing's Circuit de la Sarthe had dumb track limits, it was soooo easy to get penalized.

Decided to enter a race in Monza. Started from pole and won but man it's stressfull! Everything is so fast and a small mistake will send you to the back of the pack.

Props to everyone behind me who broke for the first corner without sending people off track.

Not going to race there again. I don't have problems with being in first during the race but it was my first Gr.1 race in GTS. Crazy fast! I feel I'm too old for this speeds.

I'm 42, never fast enough for me.

Having other drivers breathing down your neck for 5 laps at those speeds is quite something. ^^ Time trial is way more relaxed. I think I need more practice with Gr.1 cars.

Ohh the irony in this post..

The first chicane is fine as long as the other cars ghosts, which was my experience. The rest of the laps is hard work. Always on the breaking limit or you get a car in the back..

Done 2 races at Monza GR1 and that was a disaster.
I am DR.B and SR.A and almost whole pack finished with red SR at the end of the race.
Yesterday dropped from SR.S to SR.C at Lake Maggiore.I don't know what's going on with SRS drivers.
Very dirty lately.

quote mining

Saying the penalties ate strict on Monza compared to real life and other sims is not complaining about someone else using the track limits as they're designed on a fictional track.

I'll happily race on Monza. I can still criticize it. And I don't need to point fingers to what other people do because that's irrelevant.

Nuance, get some. Also, avoid quote mining next time.

I'm only getting more excited to race on Monza reading all this, faster is better for me, and lower SR only means better starting position at DR.A. Win win situation. I don't mind which way DR goes or where I finish, as long as I'm having fun and feel like I drove as clean as the race permitted.

Yeah something is up. I dropped down to SR B after racing Monza the day it was released. I am having a much better time there actually. In B/S I get placed mid pack and get demolished with the crazy driving. I qualify top 5 in B/(B or A) and it is much cleaner near the front. Quite unfortunate that the cleanest races are not really determined by rank but by quali position.
