Call me Mr Second Place. I've had some really good finishes and fastest laps. Watched cars slide off and try to conserve in the final laps. Stayed out of trouble and run my race.

Lago Maggiore was my friend today. I managed a pretty good qualifying time with my McLaren that I normally never use for anything, and I ended up in second place on the grid.
I managed to stay ahead in the first few turns and now it was just me and the leader with the rest 1.5s behind. We had great racing and then someone catches up to me and I let him pass and he is bouncing and bobbing against the leader and draw penalties. I stay back even tough I could have pressed passed him and sure enough he goes off track on lap 4. (IS this not what we preach on this forum - PATIENCE !)
So I earned a very enjoyable 2nd place in my McLaren and I think this one race will be it for tonight. Want to end the day on a high note.
:cheers::gtpflag:

Then I did Group 2 at Brands in the NSX. Never again. That car is such a handful to drive fast and I simply struggled to keep it on track.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I tried all three Gr2 cars and found the NSX suited me best. For Race Cs you have to short shift if you want to make it a one pit race though.

What do all those red dots mean in the Brands Hatch race?

Just means you're EXTRA special. ;)

I also like the NSX at Brands. It feels like it rotates better than the others. Just have to short shift a little to be safe on fuel. A couple areas have a choice of gears, so staying in the higher gear helps too.

When I checked my course stats, it said I've never won at Maggiore GP. To my recollection, that's a fact. It's a weak track for me.

Only did one race today but I corrected that zero in the win column with the WRX. A strange choice since I don't think I've driven it in a long time. I had to change the brake bias but it felt quite nice. I need to use it more.

The WRX is rarely used but it's plenty competitive. Has a nice balance and great acceleration. It does like to snap on you sometimes on corner exit though when the boost kicks in lol.
I saw your time on the board and got inspired so i used it to qualify as well. ended up using the beetle for racing however because it's pace is on par and feels a bit more comfortable for me.

Love Race C combo. Ran two. First one started on pole, but fell to 2nd on the 3rd last lap. P2 was on my butt for the entire race. 2nd race started P3, crashed myself on first lap, dropped to the back of the pack, and claimed myself all the way back to P3

What happened to the penalty system? Is it changed reasonably after the 1.19 update? There were some wall-hit and car contact (especially in L11-T2) but no penalty, no red dot, etc. Is it usual now? (It looks much better.)

The last three days of daily races is extremely disappointing. As far as my views are concern, there's no fairness in any of them. I even hate the Evo IV races because the car handled badly. I've now abandoned it. For the remainder of this day, I'm through with daily races!

The same for me, haven’t used the WRX in ages but it was very competitive at Maggiore.

Suzuka in the Trophy sounds good, interesting to see how it is on its tyres and fuel

Tyres and fuel don't play a factor. Good racing, but just a few early brakers in my race. Not a bad car, but this is how PD should have placed this car: keep it in its own Trophy series. 👍 Good fun.

I threw away 1st. I moved up from 8th to 3rd and the two leaders had the red dunce caps. Too much throttle at the hairpin and the rest of the field caught up. Then, at the final chicane at the end of the penultimate lap, I tapped the car ahead and got 5 seconds. Podium gone and finished 9th.

Edit: To add, front tyres were slightly worn and fuel dropped from about 16.5laps at the start to 10laps at the finish.

the slightest rear bumping , even the guy i bumped didnt notice it , straight 10sec penalty and 13 SR points , jesus damn christ that penalty system / this is **** like that that make me wanna insta delete the game sometimes

I got disqualified. I got bumped at the first turn. Bumped the car ahead. Got 10seconds. Served it. Got another while slipstreaming at the back straight.
Got 3 seconds for what must have been too much curb. Then, I see 33 seconds. And the each second there after. I had 55 seconds and a notice to disqualify. What in thee hell!?!!!

I'm looking to see if I'm on Candid Camera. Now it's Gr. 2's turn to dish out the 10second penalties. Looks like everyone made in thru T1 unscathed.
A few cars at the back where I started, are fighting but no bumping.
Get to T6 and it's a red light festival. Half the field get penalties. 10 seconds for breathing on a rear bumper. This has got to be someone joking.

Edit: Thank you, Jesus! Salvaged something tonight.

Quiting while I'm on the comeback trail. Save something for tomorrow.

Started 2nd, fell to 4th. Awesome race to the finish, 0.2 seconds.

Losing motivation to play recently :/
Played earlier anyway, got 3 races with my 1:47.6xx time, which was good for 3rd on the leaderboards :D

Just got back again and... I'm still on the leaderboards! Quite surprised tbh  updated my time now to a 47.355, good for 6th :) hopefully it'll give me another set of poles

Daily races 3/6/18

Race A; Evo IV, Blue Moon Oval, 8 laps

Race B; Gr.2, Nurb GP, 4 Laps.

Race C; Megane Sport Trophy (the new one), Suzuka, 8 laps, fuel 3, laps 4. GRID START.

I wonder if PD intended for pit stops to be unnecessary. You dont even get to half a tank on fuel map 1 by the end of the race.

Honestly, I was kind of shocked that I didn't receive any penalties, because normally I would have gotten a 5 second. Maybe they have weakened the system after the last update. I know I made some contact in turn 2, but I felt like I was given much room either.

Would be probably due to its HP. As PD seem to do

Probably not. You also don't really feel the tyres wearing out.
