Are people still getting blue screens when starting a daily or is it just me? I mean the official season is starting tomorrow and this is still a thing...

My race on DT last night. Having built a 3 sec lead while leading I come in to pit and ,,, ' An error has occured'. :banghead: Yeah the error was on your end and screwed me in my end. So frustrating. Not only do I lose a probable win,, but I take a DR hit as well. It's not going to look good if this happens in an FIA race.

I thought I'd never said this but I'm loving Tokyo expressway!
I'm taking back all the Dr/SR lost yesterday!
Almost made it to Dr B (First time!) And back to 99 SR.
After the world cup match I'm going to finish my climb to Dr B!

No prob on double posting with a 2 hours gap mate 👍 . Less activity today is maybe due to the fact that races are not interesting for most of us.
That's true in my case, I'm a Gr. 4 racer this week. Exclusively NSX and when the Manufacturer contracts reopen, I'll be signing with Honda.

I've just done race A... ranked as the 5th best lap time, I started the race and at the 2nd bend I was smashed twice...(first by a guy who sent me off the track and by another one one who was on lower position who bumped me from the side using my car as a "wall" to don't bump on the real wall himself...) So I was 10th, last position, after the 2nd bend... But it didn't last that much and at the end, thanks to other players' penalities and also thanks to me by passing them, i finished 4th... I hope one day people will stop bumping me on the 1st/2nd bend because the race is completely ruined and so i don't have fun at all... But now my question is... Does this also happen to you? Let me know...

Is that the CE 4780 whatever code you are getting with your blue screen??? It was suggested I save all of my game data on a USB (or remote hard drive) and delete game then do a reinstall. I dont know if others have had success with this procedure. I get probably 1 blue screen per hour of playing time, it might happen on sport mode or even in career mode. It most often happens when the screen switches after you enter a sport mode race, sometimes after a race when changing screens, but it always seems to happen to me when selecting different game options (not settings or tunes etc) like from home screen to a race menu, or race menu into a race, searching liveries, etc

I only have it happen in sport mode. The other day I just missed race entry by 1 min on race C and had to wait 30 min for the next race. So I enter the next race and get DC'd right after warm-up before the race was to start. Almost made me shut the game off, but it was la Sarthe.

I've gotten those few times in past 2 weeks, luckily during either start of game or qualifying.

The penalty system is still terrible for Race C. The second place car still has a clear advantage at the start, and first can't do anything about it without risking a penalty. Bump drafting will sometimes give the person in front a penalty. Barely touching a wall, only losing speed was still a 5 second penalty one time. Slowing down for about 3 seconds before entering the pit deletes a whopping 0.074 seconds of a penalty, and the Renault being slow on the straights makes it hold up the pack because it's too risky to try and pass it given just grazing a car or wall is a penalty.

I don't care about getting an old NSX, I don't care about getting Spa, I just want to get a penalty system fix!

I had a couple of fun C races, once with the Megane and once with the 4C. Fourth place both times coming from the back with no qualifying. It was fun going through traffic, more fun seeing the finish screen say I'd moved up 16 places. Within a couple tenths of fast lap too. I love this track. Plus my DR is now over 28k 👍

Pretty good race imo, messed up the first lap but that's what made the race more interesting.
I'm DR C, SR S, I started P2, finished P1
And I play with a G29 racing wheel.

I do love bathurst got down to a 2.02.5 had an optimal of a 1.8 which would have made top10 in asia but got to midnight and was wrecked.

Had fun and won a couple of races using various gr3 cars. The mid engine cars are still almost impossible to drive fast down the mountain and I dont know how all the other guys are going fast in the gtr tried every assist every variation, bias forward and back but couldnt beat a 3.3 then jumped in the lexus and straight into the 2s. Think I could have gone faster in the Lancer but it was too late for trying another car.

OK a bit of a rant here. Feel free to skip to the next post if you feel the need for rainbows and unicorns.

I'm fed up with these folks that are lagging. You can't predict where they will be, and when you have contact they blame you for it. I just spent 2 laps trying to dodge the car in front of me whilst avoiding getting hit by the one behind. Many many times these people have yellow bars during warm-up, then magically the race starts and poof, one red bar or occasionally 0 bars. I mean, please, at least let us quit in the first 10 or 15 seconds without taking a ratings hit. I dunno, maybe it's me. 90% of the races I join end up with one or three people with bad connections.

And for sure they aren't members of any forum, or they'd know about lagging.

OK thanks for reading, not sure I feel better yet.

Haha, that was great. I figured the 23:50 race wouldn't be saved due to the maintenance starting mid race so time to blow of some steam. One driver 2 cars ahead of me screwed up T1, hitting 2 cars, one spinning out back into my path causing me to drop to last (not qualifying doesn't guarantee last place). Then he brake checks me in the mountainous part, braking hard for a corner you don't have to brake at all for. So that was the first to drive off the road.

Then the classic dirty blocker on the downhill straight, gave him a good send off as well. I had to serve the penalty so I could finish the race and he ended up in front of me again. I followed him close and clean for the next lap and initiated the same pass on the downhill straight again. What do you know, it worked, this time he picked a side and let me pass. Didn't punt me either. What the penalty system can't fix, players can.

At the end I had a red C, online save failed :)

I've not been qualifying for over a week now and there are always one or more laggy cars while climbing up the field. Some are impossible to pass as they stall mid corner so you can never get a better corner exit, and you're always unsure where they actually are in the corner. Behind you is no good either, I had one impatient one today on Bathurst. I was following an uncertain slowish driver at the top of the hill and the laggy car behind chose to make a daring overtake, slamming his car right in front of me braking. Even superhuman reflexes couldn't have avoided a collision. It was only thanks to lag that he ended up in front of me instead of side swiping me. How to avoid cars that do not obey the laws of physics.

The jaggy ones in the corners are the worst though. The only hope you have is that their quantum car settles down a bit on the straight and you can draft pass. 'Luckily' they usually cause accidents with other cars. If you keep your distance you can pass them while the 2 cars ahead are ghost recovering.

Bathurst 4 laps without qualifying was a bit short to do well. My best finish was 3rd place, up 7 places with a lot of people not qualifying. Best overtakes was 9 with a 7th place finish. Avoiding the other cars went pretty well, plenty clean contact free races, however the game only remembers your last few races and luck will eventually run out on Bathurst. The last couple races (excluding that one at the top of my post) dragged my SR down to the low 80s.

The first one had someone spinning out right in front of me, 3 sec penalty for me and another car caught in his mess, nothing for the one that caused the accident. Then a car driving into me while I'm ahead on the inside practically scraping the inside wall never leaving it, 3 sec. I guess he was a lower DR than me as I did everything right, still got SR down, he got away free. The game should have a blue flag warning, give way to lower DR drivers....

Next, cars hitting the wall in front of me, 4 sec penalty even though I'm keeping 3 car lengths distance, still can't avoid a sudden stop bounce. I'm not sure what PD is thinking, bouncing off the walls is fine, bouncing into another car, other car is at fault. I guess the only solution is to steer yourself into the wall asap when you see the car in front messing up. However lag doesn't help to sort out what's a real wall hit and what just looks like a nice fireworks display from a laggy car scraping along the walls. It's so inconsistent, sometimes cars don't lose any speed in a wall scrape, other times its like they suddenly drove into... a wall.

Oh well, after the maintenance, everything will be fixed!

A couple of times on Suzuka coming out of turn 9 under the overpass I've barely scraped the end of the wall on the left and it's like I hit a patch of industrial strength velcro that just brings my car to a complete stop and 180. WTF is up with that? Has anyone else had that happen?

We used to say the walls in GT6 had claws. Certain places on certain tracks did the same thing you describe. Wonder why PD didn't fix this?

I dunno man, I managed to snag some easy wins in the 458 yesterday.
The trick (for me) was to not downshift too early at the esses (destabilizing the rear) but hold 5th until the kerb, and use 3rd not 2nd to drive through the dipper

I've cued up a good lap, so you can see what I mean :)

Nice Racing. Another good promotion/example for GTS and how good this game can be.👍:gtpflag:

Nice mate yeah I managed a win in the Mclaren with a fastest of a 3.9 but could only manage a 3.5 hotlapping it as you understand with the Ferrari coming off skyline with any sort of decent pace compared to a front engine car especially the Lexus is very hard.

You using a wheel in the vid?

@_ApexPredator Great drive. I don't think it was an easy win as the P2 guy gave you great pressure throughout the race. Good race.👍

RACE B was nice and calm. Moved up from 13th to 5th. But since I had Display "Off", I missed the 4 second penalty I was handed. So, came 6th when a Corvette stopped at the line for its penalty. Oh well, the NSX is pretty damn good.

WOW.

Race A, qualified 2nd, traded best laps and there was three of us fighting over who sat where on the podium, all got ruined at the very end. I took an undercut line, was gaining, saw my position go from 3rd to 2nd, then out of nowhere the guy in the flat grey car dove into me just feet from the line, and I finished with a 3 sec penalty. The results said I was 2.4xx behind 1st, so it looks like it cost me the win. Not happy with that.

I'll see how quickly I can get it uploaded.

EDIT:

Upon review, looks like the both me and guy who collided with me got a penalty, so I would've gotten 2nd, and the whole thing was cause by both P1 and 2 taking the corner too hard, P1 hitting the wall and P2 not giving a car width's space and hitting P1 about the same time.

(Will still probably upload)

What do you define as rubbish? I will show you a whole other level of rubbish.
Lol xD Well I just mean I struggle to get cars onto the limit and hold them there, like I can with the kart :S I feel like I need to drive super cautious in cars, whereas in the kart I can just drive at the maximum.

I can get top 10 times in the kart within a few laps, whereas in cars I could be trying all day and I'll still be a second or so away - that's what I meant by rubbish :P

ME TOOOOOOOO!!!! SO, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

I just love Gr. 4.Even with the bogus penalties. Like the one I got in a previous race. How about two cars are out of control at thc final turn. One overseers into me, pushing me into pit lane. That player leaves the room and I traverse pit lane and exit to serve a 5 second penalty! That's some fraggerknackle bull right there.

Anyway, from last place,15 seconds down, I finished in 13th due to three cars ahead getting into collisions.

Now onto this last race. Don't know who V8 stage 1 is, but "Hi".
Moved from 7th to 5th to 7th to 5th at the finish. Fastest lap at a 2:08. Good stuff.
