I've been spending too much time complaining and have tried to cut it down. However.....good hard race at Blue Moon just now. Last lap I'm in 6th, 4th and 5th are a car length ahead. As I'm coming alongside 5th place to put on some pressure, he ghosts and spins at the right hand kink. Then 4th place, still a full car length ahead of us both, spins too. I get the clean race bonus and a blue S. They both flame me as dirty and think I caused it.

As bad as the penalty system is, I'm having a lot more issues with laggers, and my console seeing something different from other consoles. Every race I enter these days has at least one person with a red connectivity bar. Makes me wonder if I am red on their end.

Last complaint. The people who have their account settings as such so that I cannot message them after the race. If an apology or explanation is needed, or even a special congrats, it can't happen.

Todays races:

Race A - One Make - Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) '02 on Sports: Hard - Kyoto Miyabi - 10 Laps - Standing start
Race B - Gr. 3 - Dragon Trail Gradens II - 5 laps - Rolling start
Race C - One Make - Toyota 86 GT '15 on Sports: Medium - 8 laps - 2x Fuel / 10x Tires - Standing start

Two good first races. One incident in the 86 rcce with a light bumper tap. Netted me 5seconds. Came from the back to finish 4th.

Had to do the race at DTG. No qualy. Knew there'd be carnage as it's reverse. Had a good battle with an RC F. It's got mid range acceleration.

Tomorrow's race with N400, should be veeeery interesting.

I tried TC1 and flooring it for the standing start in Daily Race C today(N200 GT86 at Lago Maggiore), but don't think this is the best. Had a couple of people go by into the 1st corner.

Think it might just be a floor it job in TC0 due to the lack of power, but not sure.

Had a good race after that, but it really is a momentum car so make sure to try and drive it with the least inputs you can give it.

Floor it in TC1, but go 0 as soon as you get traction.

Start run in 11PM at Nurburgring 24H only trying get clean races tag for get faster to S, found out it harder than theory mostly cause I never like night run and have some concentration problem (that's what I get for have lack of sleep). Well from 1PM Nurburgring 1st chicane literally become wreckfest  but good for that I can snuck out in front. At 1:30 PM somewhat I get pole, at that point I just think "I can do it, I can get win" I just take little bit more slow but too cautions it make one player behind me can catch up from 6 seconds till around 1 seconds. Good thing at long straight I can run away from him if get caught in there I'm done

Well at least I back to S again although not in 90+ but it still good for FIA race. Need stop trying hard to push myself anyway, fall from 2 to 10 in 1 turn because too pushing near mini carusel :dunce:

OK, so I tried what the "cool kids" are doing by trying a night of daily race C with no qualifying. Chose a good night to try it, as most the fast drivers are practicing for FIA or doing Gr.3 race B. It was reflected in the matchmaking; 2-3 DR-A, mainly DR-B, and the rest DR-C/D. Completed three races, starting anywhere from 12th-16th, and finished 5th, 6th, and 1st.

Obviously, my last race was the best, but I was fortunate. I caught the leaders with a couple of laps to go, but my tyres were stuffed. I was happy to settle for 2nd, but I was sliding too much and went back to 3rd on the last lap. Then inexplicably 1st and 2nd tangled on the run to the final corner and went off track, and I stole the victory. Finished off the night with some qualifying hot-laps, but no more racing.

Overall, racing through the pack was generally very fair and sporting. Most the slower drivers were over-cooking the corners, so I was prioritizing corner exit speed for overtaking (having a wide track also helps).

Tried to restore my Sr rating with the N24 rCe yesterday what a mistake, nearly had a DR reset. Races are just too much of a crapshoot at Sr B.

On a side note is anyone else playing on a high nit HDR TV? Cars with yellow headlights in the N24 races were downright blinding when they came up behind you, almost felt like a disadvantage in the name of realism

Seriously though HDR lighting is off the charts in this game.

G'evening race fans! Chased the Dragon, and things didn't end quite as well as they could have. I decided to give the AMG GT3 a go. I felt fast, did my laps and qualified P9/16. The first 6 places were DR/B with the rest C.

The mad dash to T1 was the usual chaos, but I managed to muddle through without incident. I was doing quite well, up to P5, then didn't get the best out of an exit and lost a couple of places. I was closing in and about to pass up the inside, but didn't quite give the person on the outside enough room. While I was exiting he started to turn in on me, and spun around my bumper. I pulled over and slowed to a crawl waiting for him to catch up and when he did, another car went past before I was up to speed. Down to P13 which is where I finished. No penalties for the race.

DR down 640, SR remains at 99. A mixed finish :odd:.

N24 at night was great overall last night, that track is awesome. I started at SR 35 from Bluemoon the day before and at first it was going well enough. Sure I got punted in T1, one race from pole to 12th, yet managed to catch up to the car that punted me and took first then won since he had a penalty. Got to race from the back no matter where I start! So I was back up to SR 63 driving clean and carefully when the 7pm race happened.

Punted at the start again, laggy mess, I was laughing out loud by the end of the NGP section, just ridiculous with lag and impatient drivers. I couldn't adjust to the speed difference and driving carefully didn't seem to work at all. When I got the 10 sec penalty for a heavy early braker in front and very late braker behind at 4:40 I knew I was dead anyway. When I caught up in lap 2 to the car that punted me off I was not going to let him get away. He still brake checked me, extra slow in the apex, almost seems if he was using auto drive for corners. I ended up bumping him like a brat that drives too close behind until I found an opening to get by and ran another 16 seconds ahead, with a 15 second penalty...

My worst race of the night where my behavior deteriorated as well, condensed to 7 minutes with all contacts. This is what happens at 7pm.

That dropped me down to SR.28 just enough to get a DR reset to 15K. The wisdom of that still escapes me, yet driving out front with increasingly stupid time gaps did get me quickly back to SR.S

The third race only one other made it over the line with 24 sec penalty on the clock hence the 1 minute 25 gap lol. He got lucky the race timed out so the penalty time never made a difference!

After getting back to max SR the competition was back as well for more fun and clean racing. Still messy T1 as that's the norm. After T1 everyone was behaving and it was easy to get clean podium finishes and even another win when pole took out second in T1.

Reset at 7:30 pm, back in DR.A with a second place finish in the last race.

10 wins on N24, only one at max SR.S, though some after getting punted to the back field. Great races overall, and one where I kinda lost the plot.

I probably shouldn't have done Race C. I really suck at one makes, and even more so when the car is kinda slow. I tried to do as well as I could manage qualifying, which had me starting P9/17 with a mix of all DRs except E. There was a bunch of no qualifiers with higher DRs, so I knew I was going to get pushed off track at some point.

I got off to a good start with the standing start and was up a few places. Then the shoving starts. I had several people decide that 1/2 a car width between the track and my car was wide enough for a pass, so I got pushed aside and lost time each time. I'd start to make up ground, maybe get past someone who went off track, then get shoved aside again. By the time the race was done I finished P15. Should have known a one make was a miss take .

SR maintained at 99, DR dropped another 620. The fall back to DR/D continues :yuck:.

Gardens in reverse took a moment to get used to. Need some practice as I drive the Benz that I rarely use.
I will try a race tonight :gtpflag:

Any pointers ?

It was indeed the race at SR.B that got me reset. The races before at SR.C and just entering SR.B were cleaner. However yesterday confirmed once again at 7pm to 8pm EST is the most dangerous time to race.

I was playing on my old 1080p tv first and later switched to 4K HDR. For the 1080p during the day I had set the exposure to 1.5 to better see the track and forgot to reset it when I started playing in HDR. Blinding! Also when you're behind another car, the light from your headlamps reflecting off their mirrors is pretty blinding as well. The worst was the continuous headlight flashers. I reported one of them after doing it for multiple races the entire time he was behind me, close or not. That's interference in HDR. (I knew him from before in a bad way, one of those yoyo profiles)

Overall I did find it easier to race at night. The beams from my headlights were very useful to see where my car was pointing precisely making it easier to fine tune cornering.

its sad that for one clean overtake you make someone rage so bad you are his personal target for every race afterwards :/

This is a race from quite some time ago where I made my way from 11th to 1st in 3 laps. My driving is far from perfect as you can tell from my gearshifts so it was almost entirely down to my luck in lap 1

This one is from today when I failed to realize there was a yellow flag on (I'm not playing all that often). Got the penalty in the face right in front of the finish line

I did 3 DTG2 races and I think that's it for today. I practically raced from 5:30 pm to 3 am yesterday on N24 with only 2 breaks, raising my total races on that track to 184. I'm feeling it now, exhausted!

I didn't qualify for DTG2, didn't really know the braking points for that track so carefully racing from the back as practice seemed the best way to go. (I realize you can practice outside races, more fun to just jump in) As usual the back was dirty or clumsy, hard to tell the difference sometimes, but all 3 of my races I came out unscathed while surrounded by red ratings in the result screen, and only a minor track cut penalty from avoiding a car not leaving any space. Best result was 7th place, DR went down a little.

I do actually prefer the reverse over the regular version yet it's still not much more than a polished turd of a track. So I'm heading off to bed early to fully enjoy Sarthe tomorrow in the GT40. Or perhaps there's another oldie with a surprisingly good top speed. It looks like settings are fixed though, not being able to change the top speed for the gears might be an issue.

With the N400, might depend on weight. I've got a Ford GT, AMG GT S and Mustang GT waiting. The Fords have 6th gear at about 450km/h. Max hp is 444/445hp anyway. Should be fun.

Edit: Just did a Custom Race. The Mustang's gearing from 1-5 are too short. No pill in that tall 6th. The Ford GT just pulls in 5th. Though, versus the AI, acceleration in 1-3 lags behind them.

I might try the rabbit F40. I did catch up in the Ford GT, but that Ferrari has good acceleration and top speed.
