Checked my replay
Just about 321kmh

I managed 329km/h a couple of times, really enjoyed race c today, got back up to Dr A

What is the offense that will yield a 10 second penalty ??

It appears to changes every race!!

In Race B today, I tapped a car in a slow corner, neither of us went of track or went out of shape; Orange SR Down and 10 second penalty.

Next lap I get punted off at the hairpin. The offender rode off into the distance with no penalty.

It seems to be the lighter the tap, the greater the penalty; at least in my experience.

I really, really hate to use the meta car, but in today's race C you simply have no chance if you don't use the F40. I tried qualifying in a bunch of different cars, but couldn't come with 6 seconds of my lap in the F40.

Maybe it's worse because it's a slow corner?

The only reason I chose it, was because of my Custom Race. I remember people e were using the last N300 or N400 race. So, I had tried the Mustang. 6th get too tall. Tried the Ford GT next. Awesome speed, but I struggled with losing the AI(F40, DB11, GT3RS).
Jumped in the F40 and my eyes were opened.

I saw such diversity in my race. Just have fun in whatever car. Sure, it's cool to be competitive, but it's cool to try other cars. In doing a race in the base S-FR. :)

Edit: aww boo, can't tune it to 400.

The infield configuration of the Blue Moon Speedway is really off in my mind. The transition to the infield does not feel realistic. I think a real car would break apart.

That's why I go shallow into T1. I transition down low so it's not banging from the bank straight to the inside.

Wow, getting back to DR A from no qualifying!! I have to be honest, I am a DR D driver and I'm perfectly fine with that - more or less based on looking at what times I'm getting and the performance ability I am able to generate. I don't think I'll ever be able to reach DR A, but I am more than proud to say I have been able to keep my SR at 99 since I started being DR D. Yes, I have lost SR before, and regardless of my race finishing position, I've always been able to regain the lost SR. Racing clean is always #1 on the list for me.

One of my best racing experience was actually GR.4 at Brands Hatch a few weeks back. Can't remember all the details, but I started at P18 in the Scirocco and was battling it out with another person in a R35 GTR for P10. I did get P10 and I wasn't even mad, it was probably the best race I've ever done!
As part of the conversation sometimes here, I feel that being a fair player is always important, and I'd love to gain some more DR while it's at a race I am able to excel at for a while. I don't expect or considering to get to DR A with just this race, not to mention Circuit De La Sarthe being "penalty city", but for me, it's just too fun of a combination right now to pass up. I'm itching to do maybe two more races before bed. I've even done a 95% replica of the Hoonigan "poo" car on the M4, it's great to just drive the car with the livery on, and it being this much fun is the best!:lol::lol::lol:

Oh btw, in the two races, Lap 1 was pass everyone who stumbles with the corners or not fast enough in the straights, and then the last three laps is just staying on track and fighting it out for the highest manageable position :lol::boggled:

Keep practicing and you'll get there. I never thought I would reach DR.A yet on day 60 after about 800 races I ventured into DR.A for the first time and immediately fell out again. Getting back gets easier over time. I even briefly touched DR.S on day 163 after about 2200 races! I fell back out so quick it didn't even register on KP. Never got back to what's now called A+ yet got close a few times. That requires spending effort on qualifying which I don't do.

Most important part is to have fun, which is why I keep switching up my 'strategies'. And sometimes it's not so bad to drop in SR a bit and see some new faces. It's always the same people at A/99. Race fair, clean and with a bit of caution and people will respect you. It may sound cheesy, yet compliments from other players after the race feels better than winning. Don't forget to compliment the clean drivers you have close battles with yourself! The game logic focuses too much on the negative.

Not to have a red dot at the end is my primary goal. Although that gets sacrificed often when having to avoid a nudger and getting a track penalty as reward. It would be nice if the game separates contact penalties from track penalties. There should be 3 categories, no contact star, perfect laps star (never off road), and the clean race star. (Which can still happen with contact and going off road)

A 10 sec penalty is awarded if you touch another car from behind and that car goes off road within a certain time limit.

It doesn't matter how soft the touch is, brushing a wreck is enough to get 10 sec. A slight bump with no consequences then the other car drives just too far next to the road you get 10 sec. Same if the car in front brushes the wall after you touch him, or someone else punts the car off road that you just touched.

It's possible to game this, get touched from behind, steer into a wall or take a shortcut and the car behind gets 10 sec penalty.

You can punt cars pretty hard from behind without getting any penalty if they manage to stay on road.

I went from pole to last, but hey, it was fun for me. I terrorised an S-FR Concept. Kept pulling away from it down the straights. Even gave it a fright in the Porsche Curves.

Had to pit at lap 2 for rear tyres. Surprised I had 2.7laps left, in the tank, at the end.

That tune is AWESOME!!

I just managed to do a 4:03.344 (4th place in the top 10) on my second attempt, even if I served a 0.944 penalty at the end of the lap!!

I wish I saw this earlier so I could have given it a shot. I had a blast running the daily c race tonight. I tuned gears myself and noticed a considerable improvement vs what I'm assuming were stock cars. I couldn't quite get the suspension setup great though.

Still had an awesome time, only a few other A drivers were racing tonight, I'm assuming the race scared most people off.

Only managed a 4.07 but that was enough to fight in the top 5 every race.
