How do you deal with the bank after the curve. Do you go up on it and stay tight to the left line ? I have seem both ways.
I scrub off enough speed(in the Mustang, mind you) that I hug the inside line in 4th gear. Full throttle mid corner thru exit and it transitions me smoothly back into the banking.

While everyone else smashes up the bank with understeer, I'm already gathered up ready for the left kink.
I hug the left side of the entry to the Infield, when others choose the out-in-out for the left kink.

Also, keeps players out your draft, because they expect to follow you, with the wide turn entry to the infield.

Edit: I believe Rz Q was in the same race as me, just then. I was in 9th with 4 red Huracans behind. Carnage at the bottom esses saw the red army smash us up at the back.

I recovered for P7.

So now, instead of gaining bucketload of DR in really fast group I get to lose both DR and SR for the crash. To make things worse, I only had time for this one race. -1200 DR
That is so afwul and recognisable. One thing goes wrong and its not even your fault. And you can start all over winning just 10 races before youre back at that level. Whilst the plan was to gain some DR in the first place...

Edit: make sure your speakers are on, to hear the result.

This is by far the funniest thing I have seen in a long long time :D

Can someone explain this? I'm gutted...
Youre making it way to complicated. If you got a penalty. Serve the penalty. Thats it. After some time the penalty will gain itself if you dont serve it.

My apologies if you were just in a D/E SR Race B about twenty minutes ago. I think I did five in a row where I got 10sec+ penalties after being punted out the way at the first corner and my stats just plummeted.

I wish I could get some more pole positions though.

I lost all respect for one of the "Turismo-xxxx" team members this morning. On the last lap of the Huracan event he had some sort of issue and ran off the track. I passed for the lead and held my line. On the downhill straight to the esses he had to run me off the track to get by. I mean, really, routinely one of the top 3 drivers in the Americas, and he has to do that?

At least my DR/SR went up a bit.

They don't get to the top by being the nicest guy.

I think I did my SR a whole lot of good yesterday, by winning from pole and leading the entire way. That was the Group 3 race at Dragon Trail (again) where I chose the F-Type; a car which has given me plenty of wins. No competition. For the Group 1 race at Suzuka, I went from 10th to 2nd in my 919. I could've come first if I pitted one lap later.

I've watched it about 50 times, and still laugh every time. What a tool.
When I initially watched it, I did the one-cough laugh and said, "That's what you get!". He should have just taken the "L" and later, bounce back. :gtpflag:

So which one did it? And is there a replay?

I don't know what you guys are laughing about. He was obviously doing Race C and needed to refuel .......
I had a player trying to get into the Monza pits from my left. Instead of him slowing down, he was bumping me like 4 times. I almost joined him in pit ane, but pushed back.

Whether this player was pitting or not, he should have slowed down and let the car on the inside, pass. Just looked like he tried to be cheeky.

I'm giving it another shot with the no qually thing @Sven Jurgens @Alpha Cipher. Gonna try it out on Daily Race A #FingersCrossed

Edit: let's not talk about what happened :banghead::nervous::(

So I didn't race at Kyoto again @Alpha Cipher and @Sven Jurgens. I decided to do DT, but with qualifying. I thought I ran a good enough lap but I started 15th in a field of As and Ss. So it was essentially a non-qualifying race...

I guess it isn't my night when I'm in the back if the field :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I did something quite risky by jumping into the Gr1 race at Suzuka with zero practice on the tire wear. Got myself booted from behind and fell back. I did climb up to second in the end, however. Second time around, I did far better to where I re-did qualifying and put the R18 atop all the Porsches on the leaderboard. Must be a slow night.

Did they change how the sportsmanship rating works? I fell back down from SR.99 to SR.57(The lowest I'd ever been) in the last FIA race I participated in.(I don't want to talk about it.)
Anyway, I jumped back on today since I found a nice window of time and did a couple A races. The first one was clean, but I only went up to SR. 59. Barely 2 points gained. The next race I got one penalty and it fell all the way to SR.52!(My new record low)

Anyone else noticing harsh drops with very tough gains?

I hate to think I'll get stuck down here with the knuckleheads even though I've been able to maintain DR.A. I can do well to avoid most rough traffic, but I'm definitely not perfect.

@OutlawQuadrnt The night got faster, still not as fast as you are!

I kept it simple tonight, no qualifying, no practice, GR1, first the hipster alternative, then the meta.

This time I used the correct R18, the '16 version and not the '11. That helped a bunch. The first race I managed to get the clean race bonus 12 positions up to 6th. Second race went even better, same amount of positions up yet with a 3rd place finish. I did accelerate on the grass once after the U-turn and got a 0.5 sec 'wide' penalty. The third race in the R18 did not go as planned, I got hit by impatient 919's and bumped off the track a couple times. So I figured better join them before they manage to give me a penalty.

First race with the 919 I still had to get used to the differences, spun out once, finished 11th. Second race I was stuck behind someone attempting a no stop and while being a bit too patient got passed by an unstable driver squeezing in between us holding me up even further.
Next race I started right behind the no stop guy and passed him right away before the first turn not to repeat the same thing, 5th place finish with clean race bonus, most cars passed in that race at 14. Then after a 7th and a 4th place finish, adding to my clean streak.

The last race however I got stuck behind 3 messy drivers so decided to pit in lap 4 and get 7 laps of fuel. That worked beautifully and they were all behind me after they pitted. It was a fast room though and I only made it to 8th before an overtake went wrong. I had a better exit from the U-turn and was on the outside overtaking the car on the inside. Either he didn't see me or could not hold his line as he was drifting over. I was afraid he would make contact and went too far to the side to avoid his car with predictable results. 3 positions down, clean streak gone (for avoiding contact, go figure!), but still penalty free. I had some great saves in that race, avoided the car insta-stalling when he bumped the car in front of him off the track, avoided the car cutting me off by stopping in time and managed to get around bad track re-entries (don't trust the ghosts).

Fun night, no SR loss and only once a 3 sec penalty from a bump passer. Apparently cutting the corner and bumping a car is seen as you making contact with a car that went off-road, so you get the penalty! I gave one other bumper a penalty in the race where I got 14th. He bumped me from behind a couple times already to create an opening so when he bump passed a bit later I put my car wide just off track and ping his sign started flashing. This penalty system is dumb as rocks. Anyway no more contact after switching to the 919, driving the meta helps.

DR up 800 points after all that, for overtaking 83 cars total. 10 points per car!

Daily A and B races are only worth 4 or 5 points. You need a daily C to quickly regain SR, preferably one with many laps. Brand's tomorrow, 12 laps, should be worth about 20 points for a clean race, perhaps more.

Every contact now costs you SR. It may seem that rubbing is fine now, yet points are still deducted behind the scenes even when you get punted and it's not deemed your fault. A clean race bonus with red SR rating is easily possible. Getting a time penalty costs a lot. It seems to be at least equal to or maybe double the time in SR loss. One 5 sec penalty already gives you a neutral rating in a daily B without any further contact and all perfect sectors. On N24 daily C one 10 sec penalty would already cause a neutral rating.

Todays races:

Race A: One Make - Lamborghini Huracán Gr.4 on Racing: Hard - Monza (without Chicane) - 4 laps - Standing start
Race B: Gr. 3 - Lago Maggiore GP II - 4 laps - Rolling start
Race C: Gr. 4 - Brands Hatch GP - 12 laps - 7x Fuel / 8x Tires - Rolling start

Excellent. Excellent fuel economy. I passed that Slophy at the finish line. We pitted at the same time at lap 6. I was shifting at the first red bar. Pitted with 4.5laps remaining. I slapped on fresh tyres and made a stupid miscount with 1 lap less fur dropped. In my replay, the Slophy only grabbed fuel.

I just shifted in the yellow during my exit lap. With 2.5 laps to go, the Slophy started coming back to me. It made no mistakes. Actually, I did, at the hairpin, with TCS 1 impeding me after a bit of understeer.

Kept reeling it in on the straights. At the final turn, I was right on its tail. It left room on the outside and kept it fair. A really nice, calm race for me.

Race A's are probably the most difficult with SR. Race B's you can get back 7 SR , and Race C about 13. Depends on the track too. Big tracks = bigger gains usually.

I did race C and used the Trophy for my sins, no quali set just coasting round at the back making up places here and there, was on map 3 mainly and made it with no stop started P17 finished P7. Probably have a go in a different car next time was just trying to grab a bit of SR more than anything was surprised to gain so many places.
