There are still more than a few corners that I've not worked out yet but the new weekly C track is starting to grow on me. There are distinct sections to it and they have different flows it almost feels like a few different tracks stuck together. Tried a few other cars first and was instantly a few seconds faster in the Ford though some of that might also be due to learning the track.

I'm not that enthused by weekly A even though that car seems fun and is fun on this track. I don't know how anyone is supposed to pass though. Not even looked at B.

Weeklys are fine though I think there should be more choices which would unfortunately make mixed fields more than likely. Pity they can't just do global weekly/daily races to increase the player base. I'm thinking I might switch to lobby racing for a bit or perhaps create a new account just for dailys and maybe give no quali a go for a while.

With the little Honda it is very doable into the first and last turns.

Into the last turn you can take the inside and brake real late, she will hang on. or, brake a touch early, take the high line and get on the gas real early and pass into T1.

All I have for the next week is that ghastly little vacuum cleaner round Tsukuba? Horrible decision.

I did the Daily A race yesterday. Probably the cleanest race I’ve ever had, hehehe nobody had any penalties at all. The ‘dive bomb’ overtake that costed me the lead in lap two was a bit questionable but there were no big consequences..

Nice race, what times were you doing? I was racing in the mid 17's, qualified with a 1.16.7

I qualified with a 1:17.014 but I wasn’t really trying too hard, fastest lap was a 1:16.787 but average lap times were in the mid 17’s as well.

Jesus wept! Proper sweating trying to get a decent result in Daily C without using the Ford GT. Tried the RS01 and it was way better in the corners than the GT but painfully slow on the straights. Also been in a couple of reckless lobbies too which means it's so hard to try finish ahead of where you qualified, in addition to being a sitting duck at the start. Every race with the RS01 I've always lost a place before turn 1. Also, having been a consistent SR S driver for a number of races and a nice clean race streak in Daily A last night, I get into a small collision which earned me a 1 second penalty and suddenly I've dropped down to SR A. All my hard, clean work paid off!! :grumpy::grumpy:

I like the new track that is now used on Race C.

Did some hotlapping to get to grips with it. I am at 3:26.367 right now in the Ford. Still plenty of room for improvement but its just to hot to really get into it. I am seriously sweating my balls of after a couple of laps :p

Was I being mean about the little *******? Sorry, won't happen again.

Not sure I've had all three stars at once before.

Well we know one person who seemed excited at the prospect of racing the k cars. I'm surprised we haven't heard anything from @05XR8 . Bit of a contrast from an XR8 hehe.

User name =/= actual vehicle ;). You'd be surprised what my daily driver is. Hint: it's not an FPV GT-P (although I do still own it :p).

Edited to add: I also really enjoy racing 'K' cars :)

Hey hey! I only did two races at Tsukuba. Takes 5 minutes each lap, to run each color S660 and Beat at St. CROIX.

My first race at Tsukuba netted me last to 4th. The second race, I went last to 6th and a blocker(in these cars, really) decided to punt me on last lap, final hairpin.
You see, he/she was wide out of the final hairpin 2 laps prior. I stay in 3rd gear for the hairpins. So, I could hear the 2nd gear 8000rpm shift they were doing every hairpin. I got the run down the final straight, but nooooo, they kept moving over when I had the overlap. I'm half on the grass and the bumping ensues.
At the final turn, last bump pushes the other car off me as I gave room by staying tight inside.

Back to the punt. I was gone. Way ahead. I can see he/she was fighting another car side-o by side-o. When I braked, I stayed way outside for my outside line. But nooooo, again, Knucklehead Jones goes too hot into the turn and smashes me. Finished last.

Bah, getting tired of St Croix yet A and B are still less appealing to me.

I've been stuck in SR.B all night as the first race I did today was a ram fest which dropped me from SR.S to SR.B in once race. The previous penalty update increased the bumping as side by side contact got less penalized. Now penalties are reduced even further, what do you know, even more bumping! Especially is SR.B. Plus the penalty system is still out of whack. I got bumped from behind, 2 sec penalty as the bumper touched the wall after hitting me. I slowed down for T1 as the car in front was braking, got punted hard by a car coming from further behind, 2 sec penalty. One penalty is survivable, all the other bumping is not. So many divers now, although a lot of that is likely inexperience with the new track. Yet rooms with almost all red ratings were pretty much the norm in SR.B

The midnight race was finally clean enough to reach SR.A. Perhaps I got better at predicting trouble or mom put the kiddies to bed. I managed a couple 2nd places from nearly last (still starting before a few other non qualifiers) then at SR.A finally a clean race bonus which put me back in SR.S at 82, where I started today...

Next race I start 13th out of 16th, no full room anymore and a disconnect before the start. SR.S start is chaos. I manage to avoid it all, get in 11th then get punted hard from behind in T3. To last, 2.5 sec behind 15th. I don't give up and put in the best race I have managed so far with great results! My heart was racing as well in the last lap, overtaking the last 3 cars and winning by 0.8 sec.

The clean win and overtaking the whole field was only +7 SR lol, deduction from getting punted I guess.

1 more, see what SR 87 is like. Starting 16th of 18.
That was a pretty clean race. I got bumped off the track once, however the car that bumped me off actually waited beyond his penalty time to give the position back. He still got demoted to SR.A :/ I finished 3rd, clean streak broken, yet SR at 99! Mission accomplished. That took a lot longer than I thought it would. Perhaps SR.S will be cleaner now it's harder to come back up?

DR up about 1200 points, avg starting position is now 17, avg finish position 7.33. I guess I found a new stat to game.

Well I didn't manage to race at all yesterday as was busy with GTA Online for most of my evening but I am hoping to get onto
Race C tonight and finally post a qualifying

Guess the Ford GT shall be my first new car of the DLC but I was planning to buy it anyway, got to improve DR points again as made
some mistakes during a long session on Monday so got to get back to DR B.

Anyone game to predict next weeks races? I reckon Race C will be a night race. St Croix A II with the new Merc GP 👍.

Edit: Race A one make: Night race, Fisherman's Ranch with the new Merc GP .

As Daily is now Weekly, I plan to open casual public lobbies, using my Daily Races Calendar archives. It'll be mainly Race C style. You can vote here for some decent combos if you wish.

I am up for that, would be good experience for me to race with some of the rest of you to see how I compare.

Friday or Sunday would be best days for me to be available but I am sure I can find time.

General rule is anything Interlagos or Circuit De La Sarthe/Saint Le Crox and I'll join in anytime.

Tried the A race once, went from 2nd to 2nd, biggest issue was staying awake.

Did some other stuff, realized I needed some Miliage points, so went back to A for some easy points. Did another race, went 3rd to 3rd, clean race again, and got fastest lap. Knocked off 3 achievements in one race, so started thinking to myself, “this is an easy way to pad my stats and knock off these achievements.”

I’m now up to 7 clean races in a row, got 2 poles, 3 wins, and 5 fastest laps. Achievements are getting ticket off nice and quick.

To be clear, I’m not entirely enjoying these races all that much, they’re pretty tedious, but like I said, it’s any easy way to bang off achievements, especially the 15 clean races in a row.

My biggest “issue” i guess you could call it.....after coming from pcars, and after driving the S660 in 7 races......i cannot, for the life of me, figure out if this thing is FWD or RWD. Off throttle and trail braking, it’s tail happy like an FF car setup to be on the nose, and on throttle, it understears pretty bad. I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be MR, but it drives like it’s something else. Very strange feeling car

S660 is technically a mid engine/rear wheel drive. But the engine is closer to the rear. It's a neat car.

I saw one with an active rear spoiler  -

According to kudosprine we’ve got Interlagos and Nurburgring GP next week 👍

So tried out the VW VGT in the daily race against a field of Ford GT's and it can just about keep up.

Next attempt will be the Peugeot VGT, which I think is slightly faster. Need to practice though as still haven't broken the 3:30 range yet.
Then finally I will give the Ford GT a try and see where I am. Starting to get the hang of the track now though :)

Just did another A race. Started 8th, finished 1st....on lap 3, I went from P7 to P1 in three corners lmao :P. Now that I know what makes this little S660 tick, and how to tune it, I like it....I can smash people who clearly haven’t had as much time to practice and learn that rolling apex speed is the most important thing with this car, and that adjusting the brake balance every race can help eliminate snap oversteer on turn in.

I am just a teensy frustrated in my attempts to get a better qualifying time on Race A, I'll try to make some video but at the moment
the best time I have got is a 1:16.681 and has been obtained with no TC and no CSA, I have tried with CSA and cannot seem to
get any faster.

So my question is should I be thinking brake balance, I think my time loss is T1 and T2 and the big hairpin so I have consistent laps
but can't seem to go any quicker, anyone any tips as I would like to get a top 3 finish or win with the Honda S660 since I really like
the car.

I'm unable to fire up GT Sport at the moment to confirm in-game but the website says the settings for this race are adjustable.

So yes, if you can, try brake balance but I think you should also try changing gearing, suspension, etc. as they might give up more time.
