This has easily been the worst and dirtiest race in GT Sport for me. If you have 10 minutes, just watch this video I promise you it’s worth the watch and it’s freaking unbelievable how some of these are Sportsmanship S players!!!!



Some interestings timestamps and these are serious crimes!!!

1:20, 2:02, 2:19, 3:24 (this one is especially entertaining as a guy totally murders another one and I get downed SR and 5 sec penalty), 4:08, 4:25.

Of course MY sr dropped after the race... Seriously anyone who see the guys in their room please report them.

POLYPHONY: please do something. This can’t be happening in S ranked rooms...

Brake in a straight line and use off throttle tuck in to square the car at the tight corners. Then, you can power out.

For the. Final turn, I still brake straight and feed the throttle mid turn. Lightly lift and get nose and weight balanced. Then, power out from the apex.

It looks me that you got someone angry at you because around 1:30 you dove in on the inside where there was really no room (you were riding almost completely on the curb to pull off this move) and then bumped the other car to the outside as you tried to re-enter the track. They start immediately flashing their lights at you, so this seemed to be the initial cause of their road rage. Not saying what they did in response was justified at all, but you should look at your action which kicked all of that mess off.
 
Which Gr 3 cars are good for the B race?

I drive very aggressively so the Ford GT is not an option as I'm constantly just sliding around. How do you even drive that thing?

I've been using the Beetle since i love how it handles and you can really throw it into corners, but it just lacks too much speed. Man I hate the Ford GT meta right now

Yeah I misjudged the braking because od dirty air and it was my mistake and if you watch the video again you can see I wasn't really going for it... if he didn't back up he would easily get his position back. But I don't even care if it was the cause of all this. His response is absolutely unacceptable.

Yea, that Rocket guy is nuts even if you pushed him in the beginning as others have noted.

Yeah, the guy went berserk over something that wasn't a huge deal. He was probably already angry even before the race.

Its my go to car in GT3. Unless theres a meta Ford or whatever, but the AMG is a master of all things, if not on outright top speed but have you tried playing with the brake balance? I think I went quite towards the rear for interlagos and that has a few tight corners?

not yet, will try that, thanks. I generally used to ride the AMG quite often a few months ago but kinda feels like they made it slower in the meantime.

I've found it can have a habit of sliding around on corner entry, but the brake balance can cure it. Too far and it almost backs itself into corners I find, although its contollable. Try as i might with a lot of the other GT3 cars i couldnt match my lap time with the AMG round Interlagos, despite some 'feeling' better on corner entry and getting to the apex. I'm a little unsure why, although I think I can nail the throttle earlier without upsetting the car on the exit.

Still funny you started the mess yourself. And not mentioning it. Which to me is very strange. But as many times the complain video’s start with the complainers causing the problem and just not mentioning that part untill we all just notice the same thing. It does not justify what happened after that, we all would agree to that. But I just dont like it when people dont mention their own responsibilty and thus you lose credibility.

Aside of this: great video to watch the derby !

Tried about 4-5 different cars that I usually drive, Ford just trumps them all by at least 2s and I wasn't even trying.

@Macboyilija I somehow doubt that his one bad move at start (that didn't really knock the other guy of the track and ruin his race) could kickstart the rampage that ensued the following 4 laps.
I'm not even sure what to call that race, ice ring derby?:lol:

Sadly I found the same with a few laps this morning. Looks like its Veyron racing again but with the Ford. The AMG I got close with, the vantage and Hyundai nope.

Not true. If you can learn to rotate the Vantage on entry and coax the throttle on exit, it is definitely a contender...one of the most rewarding cars to drive in Gr3.

i find less is more with regards to tuning. the big one for me is the diff and bb setting, that can drastically change a cars characteristics either to your preference or the opposite lol

sometimes i wonder if GT is accurate in regards to changing suspension settings. the stock tune should be "OK" but for example how much negative camber does the 919 race car run in real life at this track? it would be interesting to find out if real world settings make for a faster car in the game

I'll keep driving with stock settings. I don't want to muddy my 'test' results with different settings. Dirty drivers affect it enough already :) Yet it will still have some influence as I do expect races to get faster over the week with more tuned cars entering. Which would be an interesting result as well. I'll be recording all the winning finish times as well again.

C is fun with tuning, but seriously am I the only one that gets annoyed by fuel notice for an entire lap on Le Mans?
I mean ok I get it, it's running out in 1,3 laps, but it doesn't have to cover most important part of my screen for an entire lap, twice lol

Ha, try N24 races. The warning turns on just after the caroussel and never turns off again. I'm so used to tuning it out I occasionally run out of fuel because of it...
 
Trying quite hard to push the Toyota, I could get a lap close to what I pulled with the few laps with the Ford GT. Sadly I entered only one race and without qualifying with the z4 and it was a disaster. At least I fixed my SR.
 
Ok, so this is not entirely for self congratulations. I'll also be making fun of myself, for y'all to laugh at me. First of all, this happened:

No qualifying victory at Lemans. Then the funny part; I actually made it from dead last (thanks to a fellow racer) to first in the next race, by lap 3, and was thinking about the video I was gonna post of it, when I forgot to pit. Race over. I am an idiot. :banghead: By the way, I'm not gonna say what the SR ratings were in my race. You can imagine. :O

Since we got Le Mans + tuning for the whole week Im gonna give the Sauber C9 an ole college try, see what kind of nutters top speed I can get out of it. Best I could do with a Group C last time was a 5th place. Will report

Don't like the Ford for race B so went with the AMG. 3 races and 3500 Dr points lost. That's me done for this week. Anyone know what the tracks are for next week haha ?

Just spent an hour hot lapping with the AMG and managed to get 1.57.077. Maybe that might get me a safer grid position to avoid the mid pack carnage. Maybe I'll try another race tomorrow and see what happens.
 
Tried Race A - lost 27 SR points! Then pootled around the back in Race C to gain most of them all back, at the expense of 1000 DR points. Won't be touching either event again this week, so it depends how race B goes for me when I can pluck up the courage to try it.

It'd be nice if the game had audio communication from a pit chief, then we could do away with many of these on-screen warnings. The fuel warning is seriously in about the worst place it could be though.

The Genesis is sweet in the braking area. Can also turn while braking with brake bias set to - 2. TCS 2 and you can take on any car, bar that Vantage, in straightline speed.

I dialed in the NSX and it's finally formidable. BB - 2, TCS 2. Cornering and straightline speed are awesome.
Still a little bit of the rear end sliding, but it's not dramatic like it used to be.
 
@Shottah072 haha yeah that race was pretty intense ! Had to stick to the inside like superglue to keep that position :lol:
