Had the "honor" of meeting a punter at Daily Race A. I start in 2nd, and on the second hairpin, he punts me. He goes on to win the race. What a disgrace.
 
Race C is great, I haven’t played this many consecutive races in a long time.

The TS050 lacks the top speed but it has some wicked acceleration out of the corners. It’s also pretty good on fuel, Most players in every other car have 2-5l of fuel left when they enter the pits while i have 15-20, I gained places in the pits at every race because of that.
 
In race C you can either have a car with good acceleration or good top speed. I haven't seen one that does both.

Which Gr 3 cars are good for the B race?

I drive very aggressively so the Ford GT is not an option as I'm constantly just sliding around. How do you even drive that thing?

I've been using the Beetle since i love how it handles and you can really throw it into corners, but it just lacks too much speed. Man I hate the Ford GT meta right now

I seem to be drawn to the supra and the Lexus for gr3. Might just be my personal preference but at mag i usually end up liking one of those, with the bb set to the rear. maybe 2-3
 
Wow Sarthe is a mess, just wow. Starting in the back is quite the challenge. I'll post a penalty reel later after the nightly races, ridiculous stuff. It seems SR.S is emptying out quickly as well. From all the punts I dropped to the lower SR.S range which matchmaking could not populate at prime time. Only 3 SR.S in that bracket including me, rest SR.A, only 17 starters. I briefly got back to the higher range yet it was only more dirty there, currently sitting at 89.

I'm doing 3 races per car yet it's so dirty that's still not a lot to get a feel for the car and post a good lap. You only have 2 opportunities for a lap time per race with 5 laps and 3 races is only 15 laps, compared to the 18 (with 12 eligible for fastest lap) per 2 races on the Mountain last week.

Racing Sarthe without qualifying feels like all the people around you borrowed daddies car and don't know how to handle it. Add lag in the mix and it's a tragicomedy. 2 out of my 6 races so far, I got timed out before reaching the finish from getting punted off so many times.

@sturk0167 Audi R18 has good acceleration and decent top speed. It still gets hit by 919s out of corners, yet that happens in all cars. You have to brake bloody early for Arnage though, which leads to carnage if anyone's behind you.
 
there is one thing in that game I don't understand the most why on one track those limits are restricted to absurd level, but on other you can leave the track and cut corners like crazy?
is it really so difficult to program those limits in the proper and regular way?

With the 919 I started 19th, got punted on the 1st turn, dropped back to 20th (dead last), didn't change tires, had some luck and was able to finish 3rd.

I was just in a race with that guy who's ranked #1. He beat 2nd place by 41 seconds.

Also got matched with him. I was catching up on the turns but he was pulling away big time on the straights. Ended up 7 seconds behind him

I wonder if that's a North America thing, because I didn't have that issue in the 1.5 races I did. The race I actually finished I went up in SR driving the Sauber. Much easier to deal with than the R92CP.

Still funny you started the mess yourself. And not mentioning it. Which to me is very strange. But as many times the complain video’s start with the complainers causing the problem and just not mentioning that part untill we all just notice the same thing. It does not justify what happened after that, we all would agree to that. But I just dont like it when people dont mention their own responsibilty and thus you lose credibility.

There was nothing to mention... If he wanted to, he could have easily won his position back. He WANTED to back up so he gets a better speed to murder me. You're trying to make it look like I divebombed into him and pushed him off road kinda like he did to me and others but you're wrong.
 
Played a bit last night didnt manage a win from the back on Le Mans but ended up top 5 in most races. Was on the end of a few questionable contact penalties and caused another couple by being way later on the brakes into the chicanes along the mulsanne straight.

More often than not I was punted before the race even really started at the last corner. Ended up dropping dowb to sr B and then recovering back to A and only dropped less than 1k in Dr.

Ran the Jag all night and really enjoyed it. So much extra speed in a straight line. I short shifted through lap 1 only running the revs out in 5th gear to get the fuel consumption down to last 3 laps. Was using close to 70 on the last 2 laps going full gas trying to catch the front guys.
 
Whoever designed the track limits for Sarthe in this game needs to have their eyes checked. A 1.5 second penalty for simply looking into Tetre Rouge is a joke! On the bright side, the 919 is good on fuel.

I somehow doubt that his one bad move at start (that didn't really knock the other guy of the track and ruin his race) could kickstart the rampage that ensued the following 4 laps.
I'm not even sure what to call that race, ice ring derby?:lol:

I did not intended to attack you in any way. Your frustration is more than valid. And the video actually is “funny” when seen as a total rampage or derby. What you did was a really small incident and nothing compared to what happened afterwards. So hope you feel not attacked by my post.

Just think its funny because you could have mentioned in your post that you maybe started the agression with you pushing him out a bit at 1:03. Not mentioning that seemed like you blame it on others and dont account for your own actions. Since you did not deny your involvement it would be stronger if you just pointed that out yourself instead of letting us notice that. Then it looked like your were masking your action while you clearly are not doing that.

Yeah I would mention the incident if I remembered it :D I also missed it when I was trimming the video somehow. No harm found, no worries :)

I was running the Merc and went up against the Jag for a lap and a half. On the straits we were side by side till near the end where the Jag was surging slightly ahead, then falling back like it was bouncing off the rev limiter. Not sure if I had lengthened the gears on the Merc for the offline game and it's kept the setting in sport mode but I was not getting close to the red line in 5th.

Oh well, theres not much you can do about that. This is still just a game.

In balance auto-drive is poor anyway. I've had to step away for a less than a min before on auto-drive and have come back to penalties, never mind the inevitable loss of places! I wouldn't want to run it for as long as it takes to throw some food together.

You did bump pass him and the guy at the hair pin, using them as a brake. Not to mention the guy whose rear you tap just before a corner. You drive really dirty for an SR S driver.
 
Races cleaned up quite a bit later at night, yet now it's 'cheaters' at the front. I haven't been able to finish my last 5 races before the time out. So I check out the replay of the nr 1 in the top 10 atm, who was in my race, and he exceeds track limits at least 12 times from moderate to severely cutting some corners... What happened to the track limits?! Some examples:

Am I just being stupid staying within the white lines... Last race he finished in 17:20, my best today was 18:29. (from the back though) It's pretty demotivating not making it to the finish every time.

BOP is a joke in GR.1 as well of course. R18 '18 (not the '11) and 919 battle it out on track, I haven't seen another car win yet in 12 races.

Penalties are still broken as well. These are the penalties I got today

Of course I've been punted off many times as well. The 2 or 5 sec penalty the other car gets totally makes up for getting stuck in the sand trap and losing 10 to 15 real seconds, not the 5 you can now scrub during the race anyway.

Oh well, despite track limits, BOP and penalties being broken, I'll still play! You can't chase me away PD, even though you are trying your hardest! What's next, randomly exploding cars?

Just watched his replay after wondering how the hell he is doing 3.17s and he's hitting 215mph on the straight whereas i can hit 210mph max if i put downforce to min.
He also cuts last part of chicane. (Audi R8)

I didn't know the limits were that bad! I still pick up penalties exiting the first chicane and indianapolis if I'm not careful but I had noticed that getting "corvette" (the quick left hander after the tighter right towards the end of the lap?) slightly wrong results in no penalty.

No it's the top guy in the US. Those guys probably have a tune that makes those cars so much faster :rolleyes:

What happened to the track limits at La Sarthe though? It was okay back then already all they had to fix was the final chicane. The redid everything yet didn't fix the part that needed fixing

I have no idea how to tune so i was just messing around to see if anything helped and I put downforce on max, nat freq on min, lowered camber and now I can do 215mph lmao

Only PD.
 
So I ventured into the crash fest race B and I wasnt dissapointed. I'd already let 2 go past because fed up of getting shunted out the way, and it's only my first race...heres a nice example of the standards. I've encountered the black evo guy before so I was sort of ready for it, makes my veyron move for the lead that 'wasnt nice' seem like pass of the century compared to these guys. Sigh. Still got a clean race and some DR though. The Audi is quite nice round here.

How the 🤬 do you reach 215 on max df but 210 on min. I swear PD is a really wild bunch :lol:

Man, everytime I'm thinking about getting back into sportmode, I see things like this. PD screwing up things instead of fixing them.... :indiff:

The last BoP changes pretty much were useless, so are the adjusted track limits. The Top 10s are still filled with META sheep and in the one race I did a week back, I got punted from all angles by "guess the countrymen" over and over, so I received -14SR, yet a clean race bonus :irked:

Guess I'll continue to stay away from this game, otherwise my bloodpressure raises to an unhealthy state :scared::lol:
