Like the sound of that on dragon tail actually, could be good fun. Perhaps I’ll have a few races before little’n wakes up

Reactions: Qyn
A) another single make TT race
B) Gr.1 on Dragon Trail (it could be heaven or hell)
C) Gr.4 endurance on Maggiore West Reverse (no thanks)
For **** sake enough with gr cars everyday and the **** onemakes, I want N cars in there too 🤬
Really miss gt5 now, I would take a few standard cars than these gr things which all handle and feel pretty much the same in the end
But regardless give more option for all at least

Just did the Gr.1 race, it was pretty good racing, got 3rd place. Of course the usual carnage at the bus stop chicane, but I managed to avoid it. Might be the most tense Gr.1 race I've done though, so many precise turns you've got to nail at insane speeds.

Gr1 race
I drove a Bugatti and started at 4th. On the grid, 1xR18, 1xLM55 and 1xAlpine. Others all were 919.
I was 7th before the 1st corner. All of sudden got a nice kiss at the back. 15th when I exit turn 2. What a race!

Well I started with the Bugatti, it was great for qualifying because you can do most of the track flat out whereas the Porsche has to break occasionally, but on the straights all the 919s we’re flying past me and that’s how I got put into the wall. Swapped to a 919 and much better

Edit: well I say flat out I just mean through the esses and the chicane

I am stubborn, haha. I won’t change to 919 as I don’t want to see the race play like a one make race. Maybe I am done on today Gr1.

Surprisingly though I ended the race at 11. My DR increased but sadly SR dropped from 99 to 89.

Mate I’m as stubborn as they come but I was getting destroyed in the Bugatti simply because it’s too slow, not my driving. Had to get in the Porsche

Just coasted behind first place because I assumed he had a penalty after ramming me and not letting me past, but race finishes and no penalty? Not happy

Gone from a sr/s to a sr/c in 3 gr1 races, was fun tho. Might even be able to win a few races again instead of making up the numbers at the back

Pole in nations, conserving fuel at the front so second gets impatient and spins me off at Paddock Hill, though I don't think it was deliberate. I managed to rejoin and win though.

I really enjoy brands hatch and the Gr.1 cars.

I got so close to going under 1:10

Yh, i drove some races yesterday with you, but you were way tooooo fast for me :D

Basicaly i enjoyed the races on GR.1 yesterday. Best race was this:

Climbed up to third, but done a stupid mistake in round 11. Spin out but lost only one place. Finished fourth. Hell ya, a race with lot of concentration.

I would really like to see them expand the daily race schedule from 3 to 5

Then you can use three slots for gr1/3/4, a slot for Nx00, and a slot for a 1 make.
I've been thinking this for awhile. I can't be the only one that feels like there's less than a 50/50 chance I'll even be interested in participating in one of the races. There should be a Gr3 and Gr4 race every day at a minimum.

I try now Dragon Trail on GR.1 Got a quali time of 1.22.2. + 2 Sexonds to top ten, damn are they fast. Wish me luck and a crashless race. If the race is worst, i try the GR.4 today...

@zzz_pt what brake balance are you using in the gr1 seaside race? Just seen your lap and can’t work out how you’re taking t1 so quick lol

Maggiore West Reverse Gr.4 races today were all fun and clean!

What a difference from yesterday! qualified as 6th, race started, first 1/2 lap a few little bumps and crashed in front and behind, so got to 4th and settled nicely. Put pressure on the 3rd place driver right after the pitsstop, and yep, he drove himself off the track :p. Got closer to the number 2 driver, but ran out off time to try a move.

Nice and clean race (at least around me) and got back to sr b.. so... pfieuw, very glad about that.
Took the toyo '86 for this race, bb +4 and 1 notch for comfort tc, lapped 1:31 - 1:32 constantly. What a "friendly and forgiving" to drive btw.

Used the audi tts race to relaxed drive around in the back to get the sr up, got it!

So here's a question: I've been lapped recently on the oval tracks. Let's say that I'm not quite in last place and am trying to maintain my position so I don't finish last. If one of the race leaders laps me during that time, what exactly am I supposed to do? Relent and let everyone pass, including those ranked below me? Or do I hold my position? I don't go out of my way to block race leaders, but sometimes I can't quite clear the path like they want me to because I'm trying to traverse a turn while trying to stay ahead of drivers ranked below me.

For instance. Basicly, let him / her pass. On an oval I Would choose to set up the next corner at a higher entry line, thus opening a gap for the faster driver/leader. When exeting that corner you probably will be very close behind him and gain some advantage to get in his airflow, this should win you the time back wich you lost when giving room to pass. You do not need to let the cars through who you are racing for position, allthough they very likely will try and follow the leader/faster car in the gap you have provided. That is something that is also a normal tactic.

On a non oval track, just give room before a corner or get of the racing line on a straight, every driver will get the hint ( I hope).

Does this answer you're question?

Tried Dragon Trail GR.1 once. It is a crap because of the differenet cars and their different highspeeds and breaking points. I Think i dont play this race and start a series in the GR.4. It's a pity, i really like the GR.1 races.

Idk why the leaderboards aren't worldwide with the option to break them down by region. I'd like to see the EU leaderboard for Gr1. Gr1/LMP cars have never been my cup of tea, so I'd be curious to see how far off my time is as the America leaderboards aren't the best gauge. I just did about ~100 miles in the Porsche 919 and that's the first time I've driven an LMP car in I don't know how long.

I'm a bit annoyed at the lack of Gr3 races in dailies this past week.

You and me both.

Right now

Thank you. I expected to be further off than I am. It's interesting though that the US leaderboard is all 919s.

There were some 919s before but they were replaced by faster times with the Bugatti. What's the fastest time with the Porsche in the Americas?
