2 races for me tonight. First up, I thought I'd give Race A a go in the trophy (no longer the META). I put in a pretty crap qualifying time, and was supposed to start P10/12 on a grid with 2 DR/Cs and the rest Ds. The reset bug hit and I had to restart the game. I came back and managed to gain another second.. which still had me a second away from where I needed to be. That got me P6/11. My old time would have gotten me P7on a grid of 2 DR/Ds and the rest Cs. I figured if I can hold station, I'd do ok. I figured wrong

.
With the track so wide there were too many lines that people could take. The first lap wasn't racing, it was demo derby! Cars were going everywhere. I spent most of the race either trying not to hit anyone and getting rammed from behind, or me not being able to pick where the pack was going to brake. I saw so many orange SRs I have no idea how I managed to stay SR/S

. The same number of contacts at Red Bull dropped me to SR/B

. I had one guy turn in and I didn't brake in time. Later he decided to take retribution by pushing me into the wall on the main strait when I was already with my tyres in the extreme left edge of the track, and he had 3 car widths of road with which to pass me. In the end I crossed P7 but finished P10.
SR down 12, DR down 600.... oi!
On to race C! I put in some laps with the NSX. I just don't seem to gel with the other two. I found myself starting P8/14 on a grid of mostly DR/Bs with 4 Cs and two of us Ds. This surprised me, because I know I am slow, and I was doing my qualifying short shifting so I didn't get into the habit of thrashing it during the race. I've never been able to do a 1 stop race with the NSX without short shifting

.
The race was surprisingly clean. No major dramas at T1, which was unexpected. I usually enter T1 slower than everyone else and get punted. I had some fairly close battles, but sadly I dropped back after a massive spin from too much throttle on the astro turf. I was re-spawned after the 3rd rotation.

. The short shifting was a little too good, but my tyres were shredded so I had to pit lap 6 and take on 1.8 laps of fuel.
I figured I could afford to give it some welly on the corners and short shift on the straits. In the end I finished P7 with 0.2 laps of fuel left.
I got all my SR back and a bit over half my DR back. Another day above DR 1
