I'm slow...just 2:02s but I kept beating my previous 2:03 times and it wouldn't record. I know in my lap time counter thingee in the upper right corner my times would be in red...like I had a penalty. But I had zero penalties to serve

If your previous lap had a penalty that hadn't been served when you cross the line it invalidates your lap next lap

The old track limits were way better but the severity of the penalties was stupid. I remember slightly cutting the ford chicane was a 17 second penalty.

Just to clarify i wasnt having a dig at your racing lines when i mentioned the track limits! i copied them and took about 3 seconds off my time lol. Never realised theyd been relaxed til i saw your vid.

How are people no stopping Le mans in the hybrid Porsche? iv finished on the podium in 6 straight races since i started using the fuel trim but 1st place still usually has 4 seconds on me by the end. I use fully rich when accelerating up the straights, then into mix 2 at 7th gear, Mix 6 from indianapolis to the exit of arnage, and Mix 6 through the porsche curves. This gives me about 0.1 litres as i cross the finish but if i try to squeeze longer time in mix 1 i wont finish the race

Thats the weird part tho. If I had a penalty (usually from the chicane), it would add it invaribly to the total lap time when you cross the line. But it seemed that even when I had zero penalties to serve, it wouldn't count that lap and my time would be in red wether I had a penalty on screen. The only place I could see myself getting penalties on this lap is if i pushed the limits on the final chicane but if no penalty came up...then as far as I know I havent received a penalty

Finally won the spawn of satan known as Daily Race C! Yes! I knew I could pull it off somehow! With a pole too.
No thanks to the R18! I used the Hyundai n2025. I saw that this car was on the asian leaderboards thanks to this guy named Caprikiwi on youtube, so I had to give it a shot. It shot me to a dub, that’s for sure haha.
I even had some spare fuel I could’ve used up. Oh well haha! Get the dub

Finally managed to get that McLaren VGT win with a 17:28 race time... though I'm not overly hype about it because the original pole sitter lagged out on the load screen, I wasn't racing any A+ drivers, and I still only won because 2nd place, who surely had me beat, spun off at the Porsche curves before they could make the pass.

Think I'll take a crack at getting into the top 10 stars for Asia next. Group 1 Le Mans is my strongest combo, so if I'm going to get in on any week it would be this one.

I just noticed the time penalty update notice. Looks like it will be applied to the FIA's first, then eventually the dailies. I guess in future no one will be able to carry their penalties to the finish line.

Just finished the only race for the night. Race C with the dado again, this time seeing if I could do a no stop. Got a surprise when I started P4/16 on a mixed grid of DR/A. B. C and D. Bit nearer the mark with half the grid DR/D. I knew the P4 start was being optimistic. My short shift practices were 7s/lap slower than my listed qualifying time.

The race was one of the cleanest I've been in at Cirque du Soleil. People weren't being pushy when they passed, and they could see I was moving slower on the big corners, so they waited and eased on by. I had some good side by side racing through the Porsche Curves a couple of times. In the end I finished P6. I expected to finish around P8. For the last hurrah tomorrow night for Gr1 I'll try something other than a Group C.

SR maintained, DR up about 500. Another day above DR 1 .

And they will not be able to randomly hit pause to ghost them away either.

PD absolutely needs to sort out light from hard contact seriously , i'm pissed at getting red rating because the guy in front brake earlier than usual and i light rear bump him (nobody is harmed by the way but hey the game doesnt care , any contact whatsoever => orange arrow) / looks like PD never watches real life races

They should adjust the penalty system given the number of laps , B races are short so everybody is more agressive so rubbing paint always happen in mid pack but nope , same system everywhere , enjoy your red rating although you did nothing wrong

So today I got to sneak in another gr3 at Nurburgring gp. I hopped in the secret weapon and spent 20 minutes qualifying which resulted in...Pole position! (Only had 3 bs in the room, rest were cs)
Leading the field into t1, I brake a bit early and go extra smooth...I had a Porsche and Ferrari chasing along with a primarily Porsche field. Essentially After lap 1 I hotlapped and won!
So hollow victory. No real battle. I ain’t complaining though! My dr has reached an all time high for me. Yes, for me that’s still a number well below 20k haha.
Anyways, I am gonna try and learn Sarthe well enough to have a go...
I think people are very stuck on the Porsche gr3, for gp I prefer a heavy fast stability car. I must admit I am not fast in the 911. I drove the Huracan last night a bit practicing, and it feels like You are going Mach 10. Really fun to drive and balanced great, but 2 seconds a lap slower than my weapon of choice which is a car not to be named. Jk you can see Hamilton drive it in the promo vid.
Onward to Sarthe...and yes, maybe reluctantly...

I finally got my first win! In the Mini, got the pole for the first time too. Dropped back to 3rd on the first corner and just kept grinding, I finally got back to first half way through lap 6 and held on for the win.

Whats your strategy? Fuel map 1 on the Mulsanne and 6 for the rest of the race? I'm going to use the 787B tomorrow because of its higher top speed and the awesome engine sound.

I did no stops with both the 787B and the R92CP. I don't faf around with fuel maps during racing... too distracting. I just ran whatever the default fuel map is and used a combination of short shifting and taller gears for cornering. The tyres get a bit iffy for the last couple of laps.

On pace for a 3:26.5 and fastest lap in the 787B and some clown unghosts in front of me right before the chicanes at the end. Oh well. I still had more fun in it.

Fuel map on 1 for the most part, 6 if I reach like 220 mph or around there or iv I’m drafting behind someone.
Think I shifted quarter to halfway on redline on the r92cp

Always short shift except for last lap if you get 1,2 laps left when starting last lap.

Start on map 1, once you hit the straights, map 3/4 ONLY after you're on the Middle of the red bar on last gear, after the first half, normally map 3/4 gets you around pretty safe, and you get the time back on the straights. Its not hard to make ir last, but your laps wont be competitive as a lmp1.
But they Will be more fun

If you're drafting on the straights and don't want to overtake, map6.

Other than that, i never go for map 6

In many ways Race C is good because it rewards those conserve fuel the best. I may not have been the fastest outright car in the Porsche 919, but I was able to come third behind the leading LM55's (obviously). In other races where fuel conservation is of less importance, I usually get destroyed by other A S ranked guys, and A+ S ranked guys for that matter. I wish more daily races did this because all too often, the guy who has the fastest outright speed wins the race.

Just had a good battle in the Mini, started 3rd, worked my way up to first but I made a mistake and ended up getting passed with a lap to go and finished second. My fastest lap was my best so far though, 1:06.185. I’m loving this Mini Race.

Worth a try. Restarting the game usualy fixes the bug where it sends you back to the sport mode screen instead of the screen with the pre-race messages.

I had x2 DCs lastnight. Restart cured it but I ended up still racing at 2.30am rebuilding DR lol.

Try restarting every x2 races. That seems to be the "trick".
