Got my first Race Car Win! Peugeot RCZ, it’s weight is spot on so the BoP adds none and it gets bumped to 110% Power but won’t spin a tire, great car for this race. 2nd place tried to bump me off on the first turn of the final lap, I saved it while only slightly going on and stayed on his tail the entire lap knowing he had 8.0 Penalty time, he slowed down on the final straight and I sailed on to easy victory, he tried though. It was a fun race. :)

good job bud, now just gotta work on getting that SR up to par. Both you and the races will get better, even though you might win less for a bit.

Thanks! I had my SR up to S on Saturday but a few ugly races got the best of that, I’ll get it back up though. I didn’t have a single penalty in that last race and it looked ugly/nasty back there haha. :)

I definitely noticed the difference in speed when I was up to S for those brief few races, those boys were quick.

it feels much better to get wins at SR-S too, even though they come less frequently. Personally, I win almost every time my SR dips below 90 and it feels a little cheap (I still enjoy winning don't get me wrong). Even though it's still SR-S, below 90 is usually in a different lobby than 90-99.

This start glitch is garbage. Start p6 and are 8 secs behind by the start line. 2secs to the car in front not fun atm...
Edit hang on...got the pole lets see how it plays out this one
Edit again...pure garbage p2 blew past me before the start line like they got the jump earlier..

Well, I managed 1 more W and 2 2nd place finishes in Race A in the Peugeot and a 9th place in Race B in the Porsche, would have been 6th in that one but I got knocked off the track twice in the last couple laps. I seems to break earlier then most people. Do you guys prefer to break easier/earlier or harder/later? Maybe I’m doing this wrong lol, I tend to ease onto the brake a bit earlier and gear down on faster corners and hard brake as late as possible on sharp corners.

My race C was like that last night for 5 laps, then the cars magically cleared. Sadly my P9 position also magicaly changed to P12 for no apparent reason :crazy:.
 
Picked up 4 dubs at least. 3 @ fuji in the Veyron, TT, and RCZ, and one at Interlagod in the Ford GT cause I felt nostalgic
I feel better already :)

I was in pole a lot today and at least 3 times some cars behind me just disappeared, or they were suddenly 3-7 sec behind at the very start. No idea what happened there... So ridiculous!

I've now had the other glitch hit me at Suzuka - quali position was 17, but I was actually placed on the track in P19 (out of 19), way back around the track before the hairpin!

As the race began, and all through the race, I was showing in P14, ahead of the guy who was eventually the winner, and I finished 17th out of 17......

Had a nice even 4-way battle for 4th, all race. Then, this bugged RCZ ruins it on the last lap. We all get 5 seconds. I faired the worse getting punted off and finished last.

Hope we'll know about a fix / explanation soon, this glitched ruined my last two races, I'll better avoid sport mode until it's solved :/

So it's not just me :) ! I wasn't sure about it first time, we were only 4 guys driving, as I saw, but at the end other invisible driver appeared at the final result. Now you said it, too, so now I know it was something weird in my race, too.
 
I'm loving the races this week. Spoilt for choice.

I like Suzuka, but I am really slow there.

Group 4 at Fuji for me is my most successful car and track combination. Managed a couple of wins and plenty of podiums and plenty of hard good racing. It is hard to maintain a good SR around there. The long straight encourages slipstreaming and banzai moves into turn 1, which often I have been on the wrong end of. But thankfully I can run a few races at Suzuka which more or less guarantees me SR increases every time.

My DR ranking is now at the highest it has ever been. SR at B, but I think I should get it to A or S in the next day or two.

I have been waiting for Interlagos to come up on a daily for ages, but I think I am too far off the pace at the moment. If Fuji was not an option, I would be spending most my time learing this track.

Had the same...finished p1 then a random appeared...beating me by 2.2 secs

I had this a few times yesterday. I started P3. P2 glitched and held everybody up and then I got a huge run on pole. I backed off and let him lead into the first corner. I couldn't blast past him just because the game is currently broken. It would've been cheap to say the least. Had a great race with him for all 5 laps.

He realised what I had done and gave me props after the race.

PD fix these race start bugs. It's most of the time, not some of the time.
 
The start glitch was present in all my races yesterday but I was fortunate and not affected by it at all, looks very odd to say the
least!

I also got my 45th win finally after a long drought and my first win with a Group 2 car, the guy in 1st place should have pitted earlier
in my opinion as got the sense he'd worn out the tyres on the GT-R.

 
Has anybody good guide for GR3/GR4 cars? I just don't have a pace, every car up there seems to be understeer as hell.

I have no problems with GR1 or GR2 cars to keep up the pace in a race, but in GR3/GR4. I am slow as F.... :(

So I have to avoid GR3/GR4 races in order to not ruin my DR. Even the qualy time at Interlagos, about 1.34/35 is miles away from others in DR:B.
 
Race B for me. I'd kinda been wanting to do this one, but with the new cars I just had to give race C a whirl last night with the older NSX. I did some laps with the rexy, till I felt I really couldn't do much better at my current level. That got me P6/15 on a mixed grid of DR/D and C. I was pretty happy with that 👍.

I could see when they did the panning shot before auto drive starts the race only one glitching car, and he was there for the whole race. I was doing real well up in P4 and closing in on P3, when on the 3rd lap I got a front wheel over the kerb at T8 (the one after Laranjinha according to a track map) and spun out in a big way and facing oncoming traffic. The song "Give me forty acres" came to mind :rolleyes:. I had some close battles with a pack of 3 cars. We traded paint, but it was gentle. It was obvious everyone involved was trying *not* to knock anyone off. I finished a depressing P11.

SR stayed on 99 somehow, despite several contacts. Dr dropped another 500. Another day above DR 1 :odd:.

The GR3 and 4 cars don't have the turn in as sharp as GR1 or GR2. If you are understeering on corner entry you're probably entering the corner to quickly. You're better off hitting the brakes hard and then gradually lifting as you turn in for apex.

It takes me a few laps to adjust after driving GR2. I think you're over driving imo. Focus on the apex and carrying good corner exit speed.

Edit: Here's two YT channels with two quick UK guys. Worth watching their driving style, braking points and inputs etc to use as a base line.

Just experienced the weird new bug where cars are vibrating on the start line - and hold up everyone behind them in a rolling start - who actually do finish the race. What a disaster.

Can only hope they roll out a patch for that soon, lost two places at the finish of a race today as a result of that bug.
 
I've just experienced a strange result twice in consecutive races, from both perspectives.

At Fuji, if you get stuck behind one of these cars during the auto-start but before the actual race start, your car speeds up in order to catch up once it's past the obstacle. So rather than starting at ~60 mph you start at ~90. Depending on how far back from the pack ahead you are this can have different consequences. When I was stuck, it wasn't really different. The race after when I was free of the block, a Porsche came out of nowhere and was doing at least 40mph more than the cars at the front. Of course I ended up with a penalty for hitting the guy off, even though neither of us were at fault.

I lost 3 places and 600Dr due to the start line bug in Race A yesterday. Not happy!! Had it in every race this week, but for the first few races it was just one car in Race B.

So just doing offline racing until the bug is fixed.
