Race C, P17 = death

for some reason a bug in the game starts you UNDER the bridge at suzuka, instead of just at 130R, if you get P17 through your quali time you start there, half a lap behind.

This has just happened to me now. Qualified 17th and straight away at the bridge in 18th place, race over before it even begins!

Also the race before this I qualified 8th and the rolling start was terrible. The car 4 positions ahead of me started the roll but then slowed right down and caused a concertina effect then sped up, then slowed again and over and over for the until the start.

I think this already was the fix for the disconnect bug. Now they do not disconnect, but rather wiggle around...

Yeah I dc’d two times last night. That bug is still there for sure.

so the one week we're going to have normal races and they'll be buggy...... just great - started 5th on Interlagos and during the auto start my car starting going backwards :) great job

So this is still in then, happened to me a couple of times many months ago.

I saw you a couple of times in lobbies yesterday, that Mazda is a real screamer. Those Group C cars deserve to have their own class though so they can be competitive.

I´ve done only 3 races to save my A Driver Status for Fia Races.
The Speed difference was most entertainend for - Mazda runs 373km/h in slipstream and 360km/h alone.

this week i tested Interlagos for 1 race. But i am so down in driver rating, that i do manufactures series first to save some points.

Had some good races at interlagos last night, getting better there and qualy is down to a 1.34.5 but was surprised by a couple of races where I was racing with folks who qualified considerably faster than i did. But good races, a few nudges but nothing intentional or too aggressive for the most part. i do need to be faster into the double right hander though, i get passed there too often.

Finally bought GT Sport last month. I had been hesitant having grown up on the old school Gran Turismo games and being stubborn in general. I'm glad I did though, these online races are actually pretty fun (though terrifying when you're starting off at E-E and everyone is flying all over the track).

Tried the online races pretty quickly, had terrible SR the first few races (was used to tricks that worked in the old games ;) ) . Went back and did a bunch of the licensing and came back online two weeks ago to try the dailies again. Slowly moved up those races, managed a couple podiums.

Then on Race A last week (Suzuka Minis) I was able to set a decent time for the lower ranks and was able to consistently podium. Even managed to win my first 3 races. Got my rating up to C-B which I was pretty happy about.

I like all the races this week! Race A had me down to a D for my SR, so I've been racing Race C (Gr 2 @ Suzuka). Turned out to be a good choice, my last race I climbed from P9 to P3 with only one bump (unavoidable). I looked up after that race and saw my rating was B-A - **** yeah! Should be less stressful trying to avoid people flying at seemingly random trajectories all over the track now.

Gotta chip away at all three qualifying times a bit. I'd imagine at low B I'll be near the bottom with my current bests. Better to start as high as possible on Race C especially, seems like every other race the start is bugged or someone is warping across the screen near the start the entire race.

Tried a Fuji Race. One car was glitching at the start. Several cars started glitching on the road. All ghosted so no harm. But startling to see when cars appear out of nowhere.

I manage to finish -1 SR. I bumped cars in front twice, no glitch, just my own late reaction. Last lap was real fun. 3 cars going into T1, eventually lost 2 spots near the end but still fun.

Wow this absolute piece of work, he messed up at spoon hence my gaining on him, I try left to make the pass, he veers left, I try right and initially he carried on left so thought I was ok then he changed line at the very last minute! He was the only red SR: S post race, I don't even think he finished the race I'll have to check his replay.

Possibly could have saved it but I just touched the grass and spun again.

EDIT: Checked the guys replay, it looks like he was the bugged player that we all overtook before the start, he sits there for a full lap, eventually gets going and on completion of lap one, he starts lap three!

Anyway after the incident he could have remained in front of me but he waits for me to get going, at first I thought "What a Gent", but he's actually prowling me to take me out again. He's right behind me going into Casio but another car is too close so he lets him go, then tries barging him, fails, and wrecks himself. After that he either rage quit or was DQ.

That looked pretty deliberate to me. Shame you spun out and not just him.

I've said it before but I would swear 9th place is the most contentious position, even more than 1st place. People just do not wanna be 10th, and dirtier drivers tend to be that far down in the grid.

Expected to be missing this weeks races, but i always eventually have a few offline hotlaps anyway. Turns out im 2 seconds off the top time in race A at Fuji with light practice. kicking myself for not playing from monday now lol.
Had the perfect session earlier with pole, a clean race and led until the end. 4 consecutive fastest laps :p. Not a bad way to get the 40th win, and at my all time highest of 36,055 DR score too!

I do wonder though what the dude in first sees? Are they just hotlapping? Do they not see just me...weird
Yeah, that invisible driver issue it's not new in lobbies and sport mode, I met this long time ago in GT Sport and I thought they get rid of it, but looks like it's back!

You will have a lot more fun racing online if you dont worry about your DR/SR numbers. I used to get angry when someone would hit me and cause me to lose SR or DR but I quit worrying about it so much and its a lot more fun to race now. I dont intentionally try to drive my SR down but if it happens because of a dirty driver in the race it happens, no problem. If I find someone wrecking me then everyone else I am not above punting them off of the track if I get the opportunity. My SR eventually finds it way back up to 99 anyways.

I watched bits of a stream by Kie25 doing race C at Suzuka. He started on pole, glitched start, and had a something like a 16 sec lead going into the first corner and could only see daylight behind him. He backed of before Spoon, let others catch up, and then went racing. There were cars glitched/stationary after 130R lap after lap. Then once the pitstops started, cars started appearing ahead of him on his leaderboard and he dropped from 1st to somewhere like 7th, and the glitched cars disappeared.

He did another race, again starting from pole and the same glitched start happened; he could only see daylight behind him. This time he drove like normal and won, but as it turns out, P2 was in his chat/stream. The driver in P2 said he could see P1 all the time!

So Basically, the guy on Pole has invisible cars racing behind them and cannot see them both on track and on the leaderboard. However, once the pitstops start, the leaderboard updates showing the true race order (but I'm not sure if the invisible cars re-appear).

But I noticed one thing after racing a few daily races, I was clean on driving, didn't had any contact with other drivers, but didn't received a Clean race bonus in any of the race since last update. That glitch may affect that, I guess!

Scored two more dubs in Fuji, one with Huracan, and one with the GT-R.
Don’t really like how the either of them drive though. Too understeery. Idk
Also ran into a GTP Deadpool, though his car got glitched up. Good races anyhow.
I’ll try Interlagos and Suzuka again tomorrow
Oh, and I’m out of SR hell! 💡

Clean race bonus is about track limits rather than contact. You can get a multitude of SR downs in a race but still finish with a clean race. Crazy, I know.

True, I forgot to mention that ! I believe I was clean on that, too, didn't received any SR orange arrow anyway !
I am just curious if someone received these days a Clean race bonus.

I've just experienced a strange result twice in consecutive races, from both perspectives.

At Fuji, if you get stuck behind one of these cars during the auto-start but before the actual race start, your car speeds up in order to catch up once it's past the obstacle. So rather than starting at ~60 mph you start at ~90. Depending on how far back from the pack ahead you are this can have different consequences. When I was stuck, it wasn't really different. The race after when I was free of the block, a Porsche came out of nowhere and was doing at least 40mph more than the cars at the front. Of course I ended up with a penalty for hitting the guy off, even though neither of us were at fault.
The start killed me, as a Scirocco and RC F looked like the laughed from a cannon. I got passed easily by T1.

Put the Megane Gr.4 on the grid. Crazy close finish

Was in 5th at the final corner on the Final Lap

The other Megane chose to go behind the GT-R and had to wait for an opening. I just drafted the STI for a couple seconds for the slingshot

I always thought this was the case, but last week at the Nurburgring GP race I got a time penalty for cutting the last chicane and still got a clean race bonus. It was only a small cut, but still enough for a time penalty (that I did serve before the end).

The game deciding if you were clean or not does seem to be a little random at times.

SLS is fast. I was slower than my mustang qualy by 1 second. Race pace is a different story. I got no tow all race and pulled away easy from a Huracan and Mustang that followed me. I stayed with the three cars ahead for the remaining 3 laps. The GT-R in 3rd had the awd exit acceleration, but I was able to keep the gap with top speed and the SLS's front-mid-ship handling. 2 seconds faster than my SLS qualy time!

Love this week. Mr DR has risen to B thanks for lots of good results at Fuji. Now I am racing against higher ranked and faster players, so it is much more difficult. It's going to be a nightmare if I end up racing at somewhere like Brands Hatch in next weeks races, where I am hopeless.

I did a few races last night, tried race B and started P8 and finished P9 after being bumped a ton of times, I’m still just not fast enough at Race B/C yet, I’m killing Race A though in the Peugeot. 2 wins and 2 2nd’s last night with one of those seconds looking like a wire to wire win as the poll car glitched at the line, but when I crossed to finish I was beat by 1 second total by a car I didn’t see all race, oh well. I had another guy try to ram me off the track on the final stretch of a different race too, I was drafting him after the last corner and I tried to go right so he swerved and then I cut left and got my nose around him only for him to swerve back and try to ram me off the road, unfortunately for him he had 8+ seconds of penalty time and I was gonna Win regardless of his attempts to block me lol. I’m really likeing the Peugeot on Race a. Got my SR back up to B last night too! :D

Still having the disconection bug everyday.
Was doing a perfect race, leading from pole, all green SR´s, fastest lap... and was disconected during last lap.
It´s enough for me, till they solve the problem I wont be racing anymore.
Last night was the first time I took off GTSport CD from my PS4 since I bought it.
