Finally bought GT Sport last month. I had been hesitant having grown up on the old school Gran Turismo games and being stubborn in general. I'm glad I did though, these online races are actually pretty fun (though terrifying when you're starting off at E-E and everyone is flying all over the track).
Tried the online races pretty quickly, had terrible SR the first few races (was used to tricks that worked in the old games

) . Went back and did a bunch of the licensing and came back online two weeks ago to try the dailies again. Slowly moved up those races, managed a couple podiums.
Then on Race A last week (Suzuka Minis) I was able to set a decent time for the lower ranks and was able to consistently podium. Even managed to win my first 3 races. Got my rating up to C-B which I was pretty happy about.
I like all the races this week! Race A had me down to a D for my SR, so I've been racing Race C (Gr 2 @ Suzuka). Turned out to be a good choice, my last race I climbed from P9 to P3 with only one bump (unavoidable). I looked up after that race and saw my rating was B-A - **** yeah! Should be less stressful trying to avoid people flying at seemingly random trajectories all over the track now.
Gotta chip away at all three qualifying times a bit. I'd imagine at low B I'll be near the bottom with my current bests. Better to start as high as possible on Race C especially, seems like every other race the start is bugged or someone is warping across the screen near the start the entire race.
