Had some great racing on Race B lastnight. I'm just gutted that the best week in the dailies/weeklies for track car combo is riddled with the start bug.

PD, could you rerun these races for next week as well, once you've fixed the issues.

First race for the night. Took the NSX around Fuji. I was able to do a faster lap than with the Trophy, but I'd picked up a penalty the previous lap, so the good lap didn't count, and the count down time finished before I could finish another lap. I probably should have done the laps outside of the race entry, but I just wanted to race. I started P7/11 on a mixed grid of DR/C and D.

The race starts and no one was glitching. I was kinda hoping they were so I could at least get through the first few corners in peace :p. I was holding my own reasonably well. Having to back off often, which is disastrous because the racing on that track in Gr4 is so tight you really have no room for error and backing off means getting swarmed by the people behind :nervous:.

I had some close racing, and some people who decided that crash passing was the way it's done. After that I noticed that despite it being a no tyre wear race, handling was defiantly suffering. I slipped back and in the end finished P8.

SR blue, Dr dropped another 300. Hopefully Race B will be better .

Dunno if this has been mentioned already but has anyone noticed the fuel consumption of the 2008 Gr.2 cars vs the 2016 Gr.2 cars?

I think my 2008 GT-R uses up like 7-8 laps worth of fuel during the first stint in the Gr.2 Suzuka weekly race (which is 10 laps), it's been a while since I last tested the 2016 GT-R or any of the other "Class One"-reg cars for that matters so I'll need someone else to verify that for me or something so I don't look like I'm talking nonsense.

Will happily check for you later! I will be racing both types 2008 and 2016 later today.

Hard to say. The only Gr2 cars i seem to be able to work with are the NSX's. I did get the impression I was getting better fuel economy out of the older car, but that was based on the fuel metre. When I pitted it suggested I had less fuel than the meter suggested... just like many production cars . I got about the same laps I think with both cars, but that was with short shifting the '16.

I just finished Race B. I took the M3 for a spin and was able to beat the time I set with the rexy. I started P6 last time, so I figured I'd be in for a good position with a faster time. Clearly I'm an idiot :dunce:. P13/15 was my starting place . The grid was mixed DR/C and D, with more Cs than Ds this time. The differnce between P13 and P6 was 1s, so there wasn't much in it.

Race starts, or doesn't.... there were two glitched cars, one of which was stationary, and auto drive stopped me behind it :banghead:. All I could do was manoeuvre past it while the rest of the cars went off into the sunset. I did my laps and by lap 3 the glitched cars had cleared. I made it up to P11 and was closing in on 10 and 9. I was clinging to P10 like poo on a goldfish, but just wasn't brave enough to make a pass. I did get side by side a few times. P9 was carrying a penalty, so I finished P10 with a clean race bonus. Yes, to the person who asked.. they do still exist :p.

SR blue.. everyone was blue. DR dropped another couple of hundred. This night has not been entirely kind :odd:. Another day above DR 1 .

How do you guys post videos of your races? I’d like to be able to do that as well. Also, how do you go back and watch the replays? Can it only be done from the race menu after a race or is there a way to go back and look at older replays somewhere? Thanks! :)

When you are watching a saved replay on your PS4 you simply press the share button and it will give you the option to upload it to
a video service, you sign in and then the video uploads from your PS4 to likes of you tube.

For in game replays you have to save it at the time of the race via the Save Replay menu or press the share button on the PS4 and press
Square to save.

I only just started my shares as I haven't been confident enough with my driving but feel it's good enough now that I look semi professional
in my driving.

Someone posted this in the General Discussion thread but Daily racers should be aware issues will be fixed in the next update - https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gtsport/news/00_5141644.html

Currently in 'Sport' mode, we are experiencing the following issues at the start of the 'Daily Races' and Championship races:

 - A car that should be in motion shakes to the left and right, and remains on the starting grid for some time;
 - A car starts halfway through the track.

These issues will be fixed in the next Update. While the Daily Races and the Championships can still be played, please be aware that you may experience some of these problems.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Yes I know that.

I am very critical of my own performances when it comes to sharing it with the world/forums so up to now stuff I have shared has been some good/
bad but now I feel a confidence that I can maintain the level shown so far (hopefully!)

Interlagos has been kind to me. I've improved my qualifying lap to a 1:31:89x
And I'm in love with the Lexus

Thanks, I’ll have to get that sorted out after work tonight. It would be cool to be able to share a race/lap videos. :)

Nice work! Best I can do there so far is 1:34.9XX. I’ve tried the Ford GT, Porsche and a GTR. I guess it’s time to try Lexi. :)

Tried the Aston at Interlagos, it's really good there. The TC is not too intrusive, it's stable and straight line speed is excellent. Doesn't turn in as crisply as some other cars but you can steer it a bit with the throttle.

Qualy time stayed at 1.34.5 but ran a 34.0 in a race. Here's a pretty good race, first few laps anyway. And yes on lap 3 I intentionally let the two porsches battle, braked a bit early and figured at least one would mess it up.

Highlights from last weeks race C for any interested parties

Cool highlight. When you get a good run on people you should try to show the corner exit preceding the pass. Your move to 5th was great but I really wanted to see how you took the last corner to get that much speed. Great work.

The next update? So daily races are going to be effectively unplayable for a month? I did five of them yesterday and cars were glitching in all of them.

Yeah, I think they mean a patch, they do small ones every week.

I've only done 1 and probably no more. But it was kind of playable. Just needed to ignore the glitching and ghosting. I don't even know if I was also glitching. That makes me more paranoid than anything.

Interlagos has been my main track this week. I've been killing it with the M3. Got two wins which I am very happy about.

Feel really miffed, first race at Suzuka was more glitched than ever, P11 onwards all trying to squeeze through Casio at once, I got a pen and SR down even though I was being cautious and got rammed.

Bare in mind that was a SR-99 race, every single player was doggedly fighting for each position. Got rammed or forced off several times, really put me on a downer.

Anyway the next race I just wanted to get back to 99, got punted early on lap one, after that the car just didn’t feel right to drive. I know that sounds daft but I couldn’t drive it well after that. Another lowly finish, better walk the dog to the pub instead of racing any more tonight.

the Mustang flies through the straights of Interlagos...no way to overtake one with the RSR ...

Yes the Mustang is probably the fastest Gr.3 running through gears 2-3-4. That's why it's so good at Le Mans as well

Played a few at Fuji this week, having not raced for about two months.

The glitches have cost me a lot of SR and penalties - some cars catapult off the line to recover the lag and just come steaming into T1.

Also had a number of people running the exit of the final corner very wide and using the escape road to carry much more speed and break the tow. Gets them about half a second advantage and is never penalised.

Managed a couple of wins. Been punted from the lead a few times too. Still annoying that the work of several clean races can be wiped out in someone else's incident. I thought they'd sorted all that and stopped punishing little taps too?
