I have no idea how you guys running sun 2.30 times in race b carry SO MUCH speed through all of the loooooong lefts. i simply don't get how you do it. I start high, turn in and no matter what car i am in it's just understeer and more understeer, I see guys just nailing it and gassing it hard all the way through the corners. How the HELL do you do it?

It sounds counter intuitive but slower and less steering lock results in faster corner speed than full lock and a scrubbing tyres. Gentle braking all the way to apex is best. You'll see the corner come to you and the car should feel like it's not pushing, at which oint slowly apply throttle. Racing my ghost over many laps and getting more n more aggressive but slower and slower raught me this. Its a bit of a mind trick.

Edit. Sorry I was late to the party. Think most stuff has been covered already lol. Bgreat mood around here today n I like it

I have a wheel and a room in the basement i could dedicate to a full rig. Budget not an issue. Wife is issue.
Every time you drive in a car with your wife, drive like maniac. When she asks you to slow down, suggest you need to get it out of your system. In a safe virtual environment. Hey, it's not just for you. It's to make the world safer. :D

This worked when I gave my friend a PS for B-day and his dad asked why I gave a grown man a game. His dad responded, "That's smart, keep my son off the road he drives like a maniac".

Got smashed on the opening lap. I went from 8th to 11th. Lost another place end of lap 2. The car wasn't stable mid-corner. When I adjusted TCS from 3 to TCS 2, the car transformed.
Ran consistent times, even with tyre wear and made my way to the tail of the 6th place car, all cars pitting on lap 5. Jumped another car, for 4th, at the end of pit straight. Pit next lap[, no fuel and emerged in 6th. Again, consistant lap tiumes of 1:49.1s for the rest of the race. Was able to jump a struggling RC F for 5th. Caught 4th place at the last corner. Finished 0.5s behind.

Gotta say, for me struggling in the first lap, the cars that overtook me, were patient, gave me room and read me, as I was staying off the racing line to gather myself. The RC F sent me a "That was clean racing. You are fast!", prompted text. Good stuff.

Up to a 2:28.699 at Yamagiwa with the Huracan, and just did a 28.2 in a race. If you're not using shoulder buttons or the right stick for your throttle you've pretty much got no chance at this track, because you need to maintain as much speed as possible through the esses and the long lefts.

Essess are easy, i gain time there. The long lefts i get massacred.

As someone who got about 40 wins in a Honda Beat at Yamagiwa one week, the main thing about these sections is momentum. If you can't vary the throttle your best bet is to figure out how slowly/tightly you need to take those corners in order to get back to full throttle as soon as possible.

Also I'm not sure which car you're using but I find the Huracan to be much more manoeuvrable/less understeery than the TT.

What a great night it’s been for racing so far, 2 wins, a pair of 2nds and a 3rd. I had a few really good, really clean battles with some great drivers, man that was fun. I hope the rest of the evening goes the same way, A+, here I come! :D

@Pigems / @rono_thomas , Can't believe it, was watching both your videos three times each last nite. Made a note of the section times. This morning I tried to memorise your videos and sure enough, on my third lap I made a 2:37.8!!!! Thank you so much for your time and helpfulness last nite! Cheers   :gtpflag:

That’s awesome!! Congrats on the fast lap and glad I was able to help out. Now get out there and beat it again. :)

What an awesome race I just had, started 2nd, finished 4th and battled the whole time pretty much, that was so much fun, my best race of the night in a strong room. The video is uploading as we speak, I’ll put it up shortly. This was the room, for a preview lol.

Edit: The Race, what a great race.

Then in the next race I’m in 4th and some guy decides he wants to play bumper cars on the last lap lol, yeah, well two can play at that game. ;)

Pigems, very good race their mate. Congrats to you!

I just passed for the first time ever 25.000 Dr's! But it is hard as hell ! I even got me a 2nd. place at this level and a Blue Sr!! I honestly don't think I belong here, just too hard on this Jurassic Park body. Love racing but I think my level is more in the Dr.C/B level. The major reason for saying this is that certain racetracks I am not confident doing. Even with tons of practise still struggling. (as you can see below...) Anyhow this was great fun last couple of weeks! Once again, thanks to all participants on our talk last night. (Philippines time sone). Cheers.

NevilleNobody, I practised myself to do trail-braking in those three long left handers. 1st. one trail-braked easy on the brakes down to 97/99mph then trottle bck on to have as much exit speed as possible. 2nd. one trail-brake easy down to about 106/107mph then maintain full trottle again to get highest possible exit speed. 3rd. one trail-brake easy down to 100/102mph and the again maintain full trottle to get as good exit speed. Thats's as close to the speed I managed to stay with through the corners. Sure others have different experiences. But I managed a 2;27.6 doing it. Good luck mate.

Congratulations mate. It's all about smooth driving. Turn your engine noise levels down and you tire noises up. If all you can hear is the tires screaming then your doing it wrong.
:cheers::gtpflag:

I managed to do a 2:26.782 last night, and actually remembered to save it, which I have shared under my profile. Once you accept my friend invite, you should be able to see it.

2.26.5xx set last night ;)

Daily Race B, 14:30 Room
Car Used: Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport

Started on pole position this time around using my 4C's qualy lap, and it's a lights-to-flag victory. That victory wasn't that so easy with me starting right on the rev limiter, bogging me down slightly but managed to get away without losing a position. A WRX and a TT Cup are my rivals in that race, but the Cayman's superior handling allows me to pull away, plus the fact that they battled along the way makes this even easier for me.

--------------------------
Daily Race C, 16:30 Room
Car Used: McLaren 650S GT3

Qualified 6th using my qualy time in an R8 (which was only a few tenths faster than my 650S lap), finished 7th. Early stages of the race involve a lot of SR Down arrows and banging doors with a Malaysian in an Apple Computer RSR, with the climax is that I did a "Repechage @Aderrrm" move on the hairpin, whacking him out slightly. My battle against the Malaysian ended in a tragedy as he spun out several laps after that Hairpin Tussle. Pitted on Lap 5, then came out to see someone doing a No-stop (or even a Lap 4 stop!) battling me. In the end though I ended up serving the last of my penalties, losing out to that RC F and a Z4.

So tempted to just set a qually lap cutting on Race C, so many outnof position qualified drivers are really affecting the racing :banghead:
It helps with the overtaking practice, with so many drivers unable to keep up the race pace! I've started every race C in 18th, 19th or 20th, but have finished every one in the top 10, including a 3rd and 4th place :)

No practice needed and it doesn’t help my DR that If I dont finish in top 4 I end up with negative DR point score, it makes no difference if Im running 1.5 sec quicker a lap, for them to cut the corner during race and gain another 2sec +.

I thought they would have fixed that in the update the other day.

Yes this is why I just used my other account and raced from the back without setting a qualifying time because if I use my main account I start way behind a ton of guys I then have to pass if they are not cutting or finish behind some who are doing it during the race.

The only issue is after a while I get too aggressive trying to pass cars quickly as I want to try to win, even from last, I need to calm down a touch. I accidently punted one guy yesterday and the game gave me a 2 second penalty, pathetic, it's no wonder so many drivers just smash people off regardless. I let him back past buy sadly ruined both of our races as we both lost a ton of places. ;(

I'll try some more races today since I'm DR B now whilst only starting from last and want to see if I can get a little higher. :)

I have just uploaded my best Huracan lap from today [2:26.934] and sent you FR. 👍

You’ve now beaten it by 0.030 in the TT Cup so it’s gone :(

All of that for 0.030?! Haha just kidding bro, nice time.

Anybody else wanna friend request me with a decent time in the huracan??? Could really do with some help

I'll be more than happy to do that banckzy*. Just didn't try out the huracan this time as the TT fits very good for me this week. I'll try some laps tomorrow with the huracan. What is a decent time? :)

Thanks mate

For me anything sub 2:28 would be good I think I can achieve that if I’m shown how to take those long curves... that’s 10000000% where I’m losing time

I found the TT Cup and Scirroco (FF Cars) had tremendous amount of understeer

I'm barely there..... :) I'll be back with the new's on my huracan tomorrow morning my time (Philllipines)

Theres a sweet spot in the throttle where rather than understeer out of the corner it will drag itself around the corner with gains of tenths upon tenths, a millimetre over the threshold however and its a trip through the grass to the nearest available wall.

@rono_thomas @Arcflyer @Pigems @Mr616 and others - Look at what you have done! I can't thank you all enough for such great support this week. Scary part was that my last race tonight @ 27300Dr. level we were 4Dr.B and 12Dr.A on the starting grid with me in P9. When the race started I was the only B driver left. It was a super clean race with no pushing at all ( I was positively surprised and happy about that). I even gained a few Dr. points after the race @ 8th.place. Cheers BIG time. :)  :gtpflag:

I've done a 2:27.6 in the Huracan, I've saved the replay, but when I check the leaderboards the play button isn't there, would I need to share the replay in game for that to show up?
