Try the Mustang. It's compliant over the bumps but turns in better than the other really compliant cars. otherwise try the mazda, a little more rigid over the bumps but easy to handle and turns in quite well.

Had a shocker for SR last night, just could not get a clean trace in. DR up to 23k from 20K this week though but DR B and C are a nightmare, need to get back to A quickly.

Tried the Mustang this morning for Race B...........man, it feels like it has brakes made of wood compared to the Mazda. The thing just doesn't stop well!

Back to the Mazda for a much more enjoyable ride. 2 races this morning at 7.30am & 7.50am Mountain time......pretty sure it was full of Kindergarten folk, and for a room full of A/S, S/S and my lowly B/S it was brutal.

My qualy time had always placed me around 7th to 10th on the grid this week, I actually beat my time this morning by 1.5 seconds, and suddenly I'm in rooms with A & S DR drivers, and now starting last.

After gaining 1244 DR points in an equally matched DR rooms yesterday, today I lost 182 DR, and 4 SR, and currently sitting at 13493/95. So I'm not even a fast B driver!!!!

Just when I thought I was out...They pulled me back in!
Got the q time down to 40.6...personal best time trial is .2. I may get into 39’s this week. We will see.
Anyways fast grid, didn’t think I had much of a chance to gain position starting fifth.
I’ve run a different car from q. I’ve run 2 races in the Supra, but to me it feels different in the race, plus I am used to the other car right now...Kinda cheeky, but meh.
Anyways as to the action first corner clean but someone binned the chicane...plus one spot...then entering the left hander there was some squabbling amongst the leaders and contact. Plus 2 more spots boom as I swept around and left in second going up the hill!
Now, I knew these guys were faster by a bit and this might not last and by lap three again I screwed up coming down the hill. I hate those esses downhill freaks me out for some reason, anyhow I am on outside and accept the overtake since he pulled even.
Wow, he blended right back onto the line and I was right behind him and another right on my tail...
Next lap everything just maintains until the same spot again this guy had a run on me. I conceded the inside and slowed extra, never having seen this person before I figure he would blend onto racing line, but he left space and had expected us to run side by side. Good driving by him maybe too conservative by me not to race him, but I figured it to be an a driver who was mad haha.
Anyways this slowing allows another fella in a beetle to catch and catch. Next lap all the way around and this time on the exit of the final turn he got a little better run and caught slipstream. So at the end of the straight I still have a solid car length into the braking area but I figured he was gonna dive. (don’t ask me how I knew but yes profiling by flag)
He held his line and I tried to crossover on exit but he got power down. Ok well done I guess...I could have defended but I didn’t have a warm and fuzzy about this driver.
Anyways plus 800 dr at finish still 99. Re braking I use the right foot. I don’t feel I lose much in foot transitions and it’s very intuitive. Noway could I trail brake worth a damn with my left plus I always overshoot with the non default abs. I really like non default.
Movin on and feelin strong...

Next week's races are up:
A: N100 - Tokyo Expressway Central Outer Loop - 5 laps - Sports Medium Tyres (didn't we have this last week in the Audi, and a few weeks before that in the beetle?)
B: Gr.4 - Red Bull Ring - 5 laps - Racing Hard Tyres (as seen in the Nations Cup Repechage Race)
C: Gr.3 - Nurburgring 24h - 2 laps - x5 Fuel, x7 tyre wear - Racing Soft Tyres - Mandatory Tyres at Pitstop: Racing Hard (Same combo as the Manufacturers Series Final but with different wear rates I think)

Thoughts:
Race A: Again? Seriously? What a bunch of idiots. :irked:
Race B: Good car/track combo. 👍
Race C: Not a good track for me, but it should entice @Sven Jurgens to reappear. :)

I finally had the balls today, took the M6 (for me this car fits best on this track variant - very smooth when utilizing the curbs) and entered two Race Bs.

Since I only did qualifying laps this week (I guess about 120 since tuesday), my 1:41.8 made me the pole sitter in my first and second race today.

Race No. 1 was a bump fest. And since my SR fell after my attempts on monday I was very defensive. Had the pole and finished 6th.

Race No. 2 was a direct victory. After the bus-stop I was racing alone. Finished 6 seconds ahead the 2nd place. SR is back to 99, DR went back to 6300 after dropping from 8000 to 4100 after two races on monday.

I‘ll call it a day now, have dinner and then join my friends in a local Metal-Club to get hit by a beer truck.

I don’t get they always make it a skating rink too, why can’t we at least have decent tires?

Also why not a proper track? Tsakuba is Ok but this obsession with crappy street tracks is annoying. There's Oschersleben and Ruapuna Park in Project Cars, great race tracks for powerful road cars or low powered race cars. GTS really needs a Group 5 category as in PCARS too, racing the little Ginetta around said tracks is great fun, no need for it to be a crappy RX7 at Tokyo street circuit.

Unpopular opinion, but I don’t like Red Bull Ring at all.
I’d race on Tokyo, pick that over the Bull.
Nurburgring’s cool though

I'll never understand why Race A cannot be a half decent road car like a 458 or something, it's always a ****-can.

In the year GTS has been running has there been any opertunity to use road cars like the 458, Huracan or the GT3-RS in any of the dailys? The 458 in GT6 was seriously underused, it would be a shame really.

Red Bull Ring is going to be great with the Group 4 cars — classic Touring-Car-Races.

For the Ring I‘m excited and anxious at the same time. Could be fun if there are competitive but calm racers, will really be hell there aren‘t.

For tokyo, I‘d have to run a few laps and then decide.

Absolutely thrilled with next week. The Nurburgring doesn't appear enough and I smell Kei cars in Race A.

Ed - I thought that was the new Tokyo track, it'll probably be that horrid Beetle again. Oh well, hopefully Race C is at night.

Back to using my Hondas. I still haven't been quick in Qualy. I'm 3 seconds off my B/S competitors, 8 seconds off the A/S players. Funny, it doesn't matter, because I make up 5 to 8 spots each race, from mishaps up ahead.

I thought y'all might find this a bit entertaining. It's from a daily race in July, I think. It was Toyota 86 at Lemans/no chicanes. Even a 200 hp car can get going pretty fast on that backstretch. Myself and 2 others were chasing the leader. I was working the draft and got a pretty good run on P2, but he obviously wasn't happy about it. Here's how you have a fantastic crash on a high-speed straightaway (from the perspective of the third car).

I’m inspired by this. I’m going to follow in your footsteps! I have a lot of dr to replace

Got what he deserved...especially after just pulling off the same "Move" himself lol.
Love how petty some people play this game sometimes, I bet he called you out as trash afterwords...

Is that your car in your avatar? If so, sweet ride man. I used to have an 87 Turbo II, they’re super fun cars to drive. :)

No but its my favorite car, my first car was an 88 na though. Yes they are amazing to drive I agree the suspension and balance of the car is top notch. I wish it had a little more grip with sports tires in this game tho.

Thought with all this practice on Race B I would give the races a go - three races later - 40 SR point drop and 19,230 DR drop 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Well that was a bad move :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Mine too. That’s cool, my buddy had an NA one back in the day too. Your right too, they handle very well. I just may try to find another one some day, I loved that car, when that turbo kicked in around 3500/4000rpms it just took off like a rocket. I had her up to 235km/h one night on an empty highway. :D

Had a first go at Race B, qualified 7th in the Porsche but decided to use the Ferrari (I like the sound).
Thought the top six were a little beyond me, but a good chance of holding on to P7, a Huracan starting behind me was who I was racing, less than halfway around lap 1 he made my life easier, I was chuckling about it to myself for about a minute.

Threw about 400 DR points into that sand trap :dunce:🤬:banghead::grumpy:

Ouch, I’ll stop being mad about the 3k I lost now, that’s rough man. What car were you running? The bus stop is ridiculous though, a guy tried to pass me there last night and when he realized he didn’t have time, he tried the P.I.T. manoeuvre on me but I somehow managed to save it and he clipped the left wall entering the chicane, I don’t know what he was thinking? lol

Supra - trying to drive cleanly and you just get dive bombed and you get the penalty - penalty system is just 🤬🤬🤬

Ah ok, I didn’t like having to short shift the Supra, to much shifting lol, it’s definitely fast though. This is so true about the penalties, I really hope it gets better as time goes on. Has it been improving at all since the game came out?

Daily Race C, 05:50 Room
Car Used: Peugeot RCZ Gr.3

Lights-to-flag victory, finally with the Suzukaze Pug! After bottling it in the 05:10 (forced wide) and 05:30 (killed by the Chicane of Death) rooms, both won by a B/S rated RC F, I was able to held on by driving safe to the checkered flag. As the result of driving safe, I can get my Clean Race bonus!

Ha! All been there. I have a theory that unless in a s Sr lobby, just stay on the road and you'll gain places as people bin it in the chicane.

Say, PD, if your media person is skimming this thread, can we get an achievement for consistent spots gained in races? This is becoming a habit.

Something isn't right. The date for the next weekly is December. That's another week away. This week's races started on the 19 which is on Kudos Prime. However, the next date shows 2018-12-02.
