Why BOP a 1 make race?

Anyways, what is the strategy for race c in the integra?

I just kept progressively adjusting my brake zone back during the last 4 or so laps. Then I would overtake anybody who wasn't doing that as they would usually run wide of the exit and give up their position. As the tires got worse I also had to be more dramatic with the weight shifting. For example, on turn 2, usually a lift off on the gas is enough to throw the traction to the front tires to make a tight turn. By the later laps I had to pop the brakes to shift enough weight on to the front tires to make the same turn.

Or you could change it to Svenn0J, and see what it's like to be constantly targeted and beat on.

Just get a Canadian account and you get the same result :dunce:

You have to not qualify though. When I raced with qualifying on the Nord last week, a lot of people didn't even notice I was there until after I won the race. Giving me more credit for winning from the back while I started top 3

Ohhhh, ok. I saw your 2 times on the Willow qualifying list and thought those two guys must have quite a rivalry, since one of them ripped off the other one's name.

There’s a GTP_Pokey as well, or is that the other guy you’re talking about? I get confused on who’s who at times when peoples’ GTP names don’t match their PSN names lol. I was gonna go with GT_Pigems or GTPigems with my new account but didn’t want to confuse anyone.

@suprajef is saying that he is both GTP_Pokey and Turismo_Pokey. Click on the user's avatar to see their PSN name, if they choose to share it. 👍

Three morning races on willow today. First race was a disaster. I blame it on still being half asleep. Next race was better started 4 and finnish 2 with a clean race and good competition. Last race of the morning i started 2 and got the win, with a lead that grew from turn 1 lap 1 to like 4 sec at the end. It musta been a rough ride back there, cuse i got fastest lap also and it was only a 1.30.222

Have had the PS4 shut down twice while in the lead of Race A.

The PS4 has to be the worst design of PlayStation ever made. Users shouldn't have to pull it apart every month to remove dust in the hope that it will stop the thing overheating and shutting off mid race. Nor should they have to put electrical tape over sensors to stop discs being ejected mid gameplay.

My PS4 used to do this everyday, multiple times per day. I changed my HDMI cable, used a different TV, initialized the PS4, and added blocks underneath for more cooling. One/or/all of these fixed the problem because it hasn't happened in years. And this is including about 40-50 times when my PS4 was running for 24 hours straight.

If you ask me I think it was swapping the HDMI cable and TV that did it. I've seen a lot of people saying a bad HDMI cable will do this.

^^^ on that topic. Mine sits on an milk crate qith at least four inches if not wide open on all sides. You can kinda see it in my set up pic in another thread. Other than that and living in a fairly dust free environment, i run the vacume hose over the vents almost everytime i vacume the room it's in.

After I vacuumed out my PS4 I lined my intake vents with these air conditioner filters and now I clean them instead of having to hoover out an unknown volume of junk from my PS4.

These filters are made for standalone air conditioners and are very porous barely restricting airflow. I use them on my HEPA filters as well as they prevent large debris and hair from rapidly diminishing my HEPA filter (they're expensive). I have too many pets in my house at the moment so I line all of my electronics with these things.

Ah ok! I’ve got GTP_Pokey on my friends list but didn’t realize he was both. Good to know! Thanks.

Also, Nice to have you as a friend to compare times with @suprajef , sorry for the mix up. :)

/\/\ also on that topic. Mine does not shut down. I don't have the problem of ever having used it for long enough for the thing to overheat unfortunatly. But my dog does know how to eject the disc. She walks up to it when I'm not giving her enough attention and nudges her nose against the eject button. Never the shut down mind you. She hasn't managed to do it when I'm in the middle of a Sport Mode race yet but she has managed to do it during a few hot laps and campaign races.:D

I wrap mine in a thick woolly blanket so I don't have to listen to the fan noise :dopey:

On a serious note, I had issues with random black screens and sound cutting out occasionally. It turned out to be a HDCP 2.2 handshake problem. The problems went away after I booted the ps4 pro in safe mode and set it to use HDCP 1.4 instead.

The fan noise is weird. It alerts me when I get into the lobby for the next race, then it quietens down again when the race starts. Those lobby screens take a lot of juice...

I rarely see people from here at the track. When I do, I kind of think of them like teammates. I try to drive extra carefully around them. I've used bumpers to defend them. I've pulled over to let Sven go by, at least a dozen times. I wouldn't intentionally rough any of you guys up. Though, I did accidentally knock Sven off the track at Lemans, but it was through a 3rd party. I made an bad move at Indianapolis, because I had tunnel vision, trying to catch up to the dude that hit me. :O

Ahh, who needs to be on a team?

I'm afraid that if I ever do meet someone from here I'll be over cautious and end up making a mess of it.:(

I’ve got my PS4 sitting on slab of Quartz/Zodiac countertop, it’s just a sample size(12”x 12”x 3/4”), I did it to help to keep it cool and I’ve also got a small air space under the slab as well. I work in a cabinet shop so we’ve got tons of old samples laying around so I grabbed a few when we got the new ones in, I’ve heard glass also works well. I’ve got one under my wife’s PS3( she uses it for Netflix) and my sons PS4 and both they’re laptops as well. They seem to work pretty well for sucking the heat out of the machines. I also have a fan set up behind my rig to blow air over the entire thing(TV, Wheel, PS4) to help with cooling, it’s probably overkill but I like overkill  . I’ve never had an overheating issue but I wanted to make sure it stayed that way. :)

I think it may have been mentioned before, but has it ever been proven that cars have their best tire grip on the the first lap of qualifying? :odd: It sure does feel like it. I've noticed it about 200 times.

I’ve never really noticed, but the grip difference between Qualy laps and Race laps seems to be slightly different though.

Hey @Pigems, check this one out. What happened was I went into the dirt and got loose, coming out of turn 1, so since my lap was screwed, I figured I'd hit something. The results were pretty spectacular. I may have inadvertently found the best "big air" spot on the track. 👍

I've wondered if this is a psychological thing. If I'm doing qualifying laps on a circuit/car combination I'm comfortable with I tend to do my fastest lap very early in the sessions. Usually lap 2 or 3 and then my times drop off. I put this down to the fact that after those first few laps I start to overthink things trying to find more time and start over driving the car that of course results in slower laps. I did this week force myself to slow down during a practice session and then set a new best lap for NGP on lap 9.

The difference in a race I put down to driving in a slip stream that can dramatically change the braking characteristics and/or just being nervous about other cars around me.

All my anecdotal evidence of course!

Not sure if it's the same thing but I often get a significantly faster time while qualifying while entered for the race. As opposed to the Free Practice. And I'm pretty sure the only times I've got pole position was like that too. Not always the first lap but an early lap.

That was Legen-wait for it- and I hope you’re not lactose intolerant because the last part of this word is-Dairy!!! Legendary!! I’ve tried to hit that one 3/4 times now and kept catching the barrel thingy in the center of it and not getting any air. That was bloody wicked man!! Almost did a back flip haha. I’m trying it tonight! :D

Thanks. I guess I kinda got lucky on that one. I had no idea these cars would barrel roll like that!
I've had a lot of wins on this track, but none of them were as fun as that! :gtpflag:

Got 1 race B in. Just to mix it up went with the Citroen GT. Nice drive. Qualified 8th, finished 6th. Got my SR back to 93. I'm actually kind of glad it got knocked down to 81. Prior 2 weeks racing at SR 99 was futile and frustrating.

Now I’m wondering if you can control the car in the air like a dirt bike? More throttle to bring the back down and brakes to bring the front down, you were full throttle and the back end dropped so in theory it may work. Mustang back flip anyone? Haha. :D

Could be. I didn't think of that. I was definitely full throttle the whole time.

Hey, check out these 3 guys in the middle -->

Damm, you’re getting close. Nice lap!! I think @suprajef has a top ten time on his other account though, near 28 flat if I remember correctly. We’ve still got some work left to do before Sunday.

I have the same problem .... Random black screen for 2-3 sec. Mostly during a race !
Could you explain this a little more precisely please .... HDCP 2.2 vs 1.4. ....I am far from being a PS4 or computer expert ;)

That’s a fast lap man, You’re on a DS4 too aren’t you?
Yeah, I'm pretty old school. D pad and X and Square. I just tried something different, though. I dropped down to 3rd gear, entering turn 2 and went a little faster. I noticed on your replays, you hit the brakes when you enter turn 2. I never have. Try a no-brake entry. See if it works for you. 👍
