Finally made the Top 10 !!!
First time ever! (aside from one early Monday morning)
After practicing my ass off for two days straight, I managed to put together the (almost) perfect lap.
Good for 7th!

Right after that in the race, the guy in 2nd congrats me on my time, then dives on me twice in Turn 2.
(The key to a fast time obviously is to take Turn 2 very wide on entry, which 95% just don't get)
Guess who is the one losing all the SR!?

another very good 7th place!

Got the Autopolis time down to 1:38.7 with tire/fuel wear off, TCS 2 still on though. This is a nice combo, I’m liking the track so far, that off camber hair pin is gonna **** people up tomorrow.
Is this the Lexus? Which cars are competitive?

T1 is nice allso. Did find me and honda on gravel many times.

Dropped in for a Race A this morning. Was avoiding it due bad experiences earlier in the week. But I wasn't in the mood for the Ring today and played offline enough so I was itching to race for reals.

Was a good grid of drivers. Close and clean. Plenty of lifting off the gas to adjust distance between cars. By the 2nd lap it was comfortable knowing there was mutual awareness. It was like driving with AI, if the AI was programmed to race without contact. Best Sunday/weekend race I've had.

Had to test few more laps, and check that the BOP was really on  it was... I watched your vid, and biggest differces in your and my driving lines are, that I use much less track. Keep it tighter tru the course. Last sector down hill rihgt hander, not much braking needed, lots of grip there.
Going up hill after that, the two right hand turn, don't go too wide. You will save many tenths there. These GR2 cars have hell off a acceleration, use it.
Got 1:36.500 in this stint.

Are you sharing that livery online?

I sure did, it’s under the tag RedBull. :)

Nice lap, and thanks for the info Sir. I’ll be going back at it again here shortly. :)

If I’m not mistaken the Gr.2’s are faster with CSA on aren’t they? I remember last time all the top10 qualifyers were using it.

Still endless frustration with Race A. Every time they bump me, I get SR-. WFT?
Made a separate thread for a video review...

Is that how people are able to get on the gas so early in those cars?

It's getting more crowded at the front. After getting punted off again I decided to see if I had gotten any better yet at qualifying as my 2:12 time was not cutting it anymore. I shaved off 2 seconds, now at 2:10.4 That might just mean I get to start in front of faster punters, but not sacrificing another race for more qualifying!

Starting 2nd next instead of 6th, it helped. Now if only I won't get punted...

Yep Brazil behind me trying to push my rear out several times. So predictable. I got second back though at the finish as he had 1.2 sec of short cut penalties from trying to bump pass.

Damn, losing DR now for finishing second, 49.5K, so close to A+. Dunno if I can make it before the Sunday afternoon drivers join in. I already got punted in that last race, it's only going to get worse.

I found when I was at 29k it was harder to gain DR or the DR gained was small vs big losses for poor positioning. I'd drop to 25k, no problem got back to 29k then its like picking teeth for a meal trying to eat DR

I had my meltdown before crossing over 30k :( but Im back on my way up :)

It all depends on what DR the other drivers have in the room, which doesn't correspond very well to their race pace or qualifying time. I had a D/S starting in front of me a few races ago, and an A+/S starting 5 places behind me yesterday.

Starting 4th next... dirty one behind me. Yep, got rammed, managed to stay on, finished second. DR at 49,921. I can't take it anymore!

Yes, for me atleast. Use it on races allso, helps to keep car going right sirection after some body parks in your rear bumber.

Here's a video of my best Q lap at Bathurst, a 2:01.205 in the GR Supra Racing Concept. I'm very satisfied with the lap, although there are a few points where I could have improved. It's just pretty difficult to string a good lap together here; I had one occasion where I got to the Chase on 2:00.7 pace and missed the braking point :ouch: Nevertheless, enjoy :D

Sorry about the quality, I uploaded it two minutes ago so it's still 360p :p
Edit: Nevermind, 720p now :)

I did it! The last race to get to A+ was a nail biter. I started in second. The Brazilian behind me bumped me off at Kallenhard yet didn't manage to pass and got a 4 second penalty for it. Unfortunately that made it impossible to catch up with first, plus that 4 sec was no deterrent for the laggy Brazilian to draft too close on more occasions. He bumped me again a couple corners before the straight yet I managed to hang on and he got the SR Down for it.

Mission accomplished

That previous peak to A+ was on the Nordschleife as well.

This is from the race I caught some air

The Argentinian behind me side bumped me wide first, then my rear bumper causing me to veer over the kerbs. He got off worse, he's behind my car in the guard rail. I won that race :)

Now I need a break, breakfast and a shower. Great racing today (apart from the laggy bumpers)

I've been using the BMW in Daily Race C this week, it's a really nice car to drive but doesn't have the straight line speed which makes overtaking virtually impossible unless you get creative, these are a few of my favourites

The guy in the last clip gave me a flash of the lights on the next straight, I think he wanted to congratulate me on a job well done

Hats off! Some nice maneuvers there, but the nicest thing is seeing other drivers actually being cooperative and not defending with a crowbar.

Definitely, it takes a good driver to have the spacial awareness to be overtaken cleanly. For every move like that there's at least one where the other driver is happy to just push you off the road (usually those ones are driving McLaren's).

That's awesome, man. 50,000+ points in one week! The only way I'll ever hit A+ is if we get a week of Lemans, followed by a week of Willow.
