Nice lap young man! Gonna have to chase that down tomorrow.

Thanks, that Audi was working really well today. :)

Car 3, Lap 3 on the Nurb, GTR.... 8:29.9  I messed up really bad twice, once ended up in the sand just before the second carrousel and the other coming around the final corner I hit the grass and spun a bit coming into straight where the finish line is. I think this could be my car though, it’s really stable which makes it easy to drive down this bumpy @$$ track, it doesn’t seem to spin to easily either as long as you stay on the road.

Edit: I gave up on old Nurby for the night, I don’t have the patience she needs tonight. So I went back to DT, and I’m glad I did, shaved another 3 tenths off my time to a 1:46.9. :D

I love the ring, but not feeling it as race c. Got disconnected before a race and it's like waiting for a bus just to get back in a lobby. The next race isn't until the top of the hour.

As expected: Two races on the Nürburgring. Again being the victim of snowplows who will pass anywhere at any cost. Started 7th and finished 16th and started 5th and finished 12th — at least the Delta improves.

Anyway, I learned two things: The Viper can handle RH for two laps with a decent reserve. However fuel is a problem. In my first attempt I was running at FM1 but had to pit since after lap 1 I had 0.7 laps left. I started the next race with FM3 and barely made it; I had to set FM6 on Döttinger Höhe (the loooong straight) since 0.1 lap was left. If I would only have an idea how to progressively pass without pushing another driver I would switch to RM and push. But I struggle to keep the car on the tarmac (every car feels like jumping on a trampoline).

As a cool down I joined an A-race. Started 9th after a quick Qualification of 1:07 and also finished 9th. Collected 3s of penalties due to a red Mlni trying to shove me out of the way but bouncing back off the track.

Overall 1800 DR lost to 5300 and 4 SR lost to 95 — thank god it was my Daily Fun account!

I have never raced competitively on the Nurb 24 and wasn't able to keep it on track in practice, so I did a trial run on my alt account. No qually time.

Started 13th, only ran wide a couple of times - no spins. I was driving very conservatively though.

As I came down the start/finish straight on lap 2 suddenly I'm up in 3rd! That didn't last of course, I think I brought it home in 7th. Very surprised to see I got the fastest lap with a 9:10... WTF?

If you pit you never set a lap, so you are only competing against the no stoppers for fastest lap. If you conserve in lap 1 (which is longer) and go faster in lap 2 you have a good chance at the fastest lap.

The only problem with no stop is that if you don't start at the very back, all the one stops will bump you until you get out of the way. My last race was pretty messy as usual. First I passed a lot of wreckage, then let all the recoveries pass once they got behind and there was a safe spot to pull over / slow down a bit to draft them after. Then passed them all again when they were in the pits. Still some clipped me thus not much SR gained. 3rd place was nice.

I got my DT time down to a 48.0 in the TT, there’s still a ton more time there, I’m just not great on this track, I haven’t raced on it much. But I’ve got all week to work on it. :)

Edit: Down to 47.8 now in the TT, BB is at -2(to the front). :)

I think this means you're great now.

I was qualifying in the Italia and Jaguar and stuck around 48.5 ~ 9. I just barely hit 1:47 at 1:47.9 in the Huracan. I didn't really want to use the Huracan since I was kinda bored of it but I was also aiming for a QT of at least 1:47. I might try the TT although I've never been super keen on it.

How sweet it is.., first try at C race. QT 8:31, starts P3.. gets slammed by a barrage of car on T1.. recover to P4, get warning to disqualify... disqualified!

DR C from 18k to 7k... oh my

Great race. I got to start 20th in the fast room. It was a very nice and fast clean race. I could have finished 6th yet at the end I checked my rear view mirror to make sure no loose cannons were incoming and went wide doh. Finished 9th. SR back up to 99, DR 25k. Good combo for starting last :)

...

And whatever race, don't qualify. I think the reason you can enter a race without a qualifying time is specifically to allow players to increase SR from the back without losing DR.

But if you're an A class DR with 34,000 DR points, and you enter a race without qualifying, that race might have s6 B drivers and the rest A or better. So you would likely loose DR if you did not beat all the B drivers . ...??

Yes.

Theoretically if you enter a race without a time, you should be matched with higher DR. Until you run out of higher DR. Then it starts to work backwards.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but I know for sure that setting a time or not has absolutely no impact on matchmaking. That's purely on SR and DR. The qualifying times are only used for the starting order.

You gain or lose DR based on finish position. If you start and finish last, you will lose a lot of DR.

But it is theoretically possible to be the lone D/S in an otherwise A+/S A/S room and you'll only lose 1 point to each of the other drivers.

Yeah I'm not sure what I'm trying to say either. I was trying to be helpful and ended up more confused.

Yep, did that. In the race there's always someone in front of me to point the way so I resisted the urge to follow the NGP layout this time :)

Just now some driver, who was all over the place during the race, asked afterwards, I couldn't find the pit, a wall was blocking it. It would be useful to familiarize yourself with the track before racing  Plus an A+ driver decided to serve his penalties on the small caroussel right on the concrete. Nice obstacle.

The race before auto drive launched me and 16th straight into the wall after the countdown ended. Always some surprise!

What utter dross seaside reverse is. I mean really just garbage. Tried it for a few races tonight and all I do is donate DR.

No matter what car I use I get nothing but gons of understeer, get left for dead by SRS drivers.

Getting seriously tired of this BS by PD, really how hard is it to create 1 of 3 decent races a week?

Rubbish.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who finds Seaside 2 quite challenging. Ever since I tried that track I’ve had difficulty. Uphill I love the esses, but downhill I find them tough.
Everything is tough for me there.
It’s quite difficult imo.
Ok, now time to run a lap or 2 at the ring (don’t really know it well yet so this will be fun!

Stay thirsty my friends

Nice time, @Pigems . We're buddies now.

Seaside II - clip the wall and lose 4 tenths, nail the hairpin and gain 3 tenths, miss the apex on the esses and lose 6 tenths, smash the final chicane and we're back on track! Every lap i'm losing and gaining in loads of different places, which i can imagine is going to cause utter mayhem when i come to race. Got a 1:47.8xx in the bag but there's scope for more. TT, Scirocco and Megane all pretty similar times but not looking forward to getting on the grid :boggled:
