He doesn't like ranting, tries to remain positive, goes on about counter steering assistance.
Its like skid recovery force from GT6.
TCS slows you down, Counter steering assist makes you quicker.
He does a good lap without assist, then uses assist and goes .5 quicker with worse lap.

You were in all of my races last night, your connection in the first couple was red, yet in the others was green. It does throw a wobbly sometimes! Great job by the way, first race I ran a 1 pit, but the rest a no pit - you were markedly faster (I was finishing top 5). May I ask how you managed the fuel? I ran setting 4 for a lap, then 2 for a couple, leaving enough for 1 over the remainder, but I don't think it was the best strategy!

Throwing away my secrets but here it goes. ^^ Map 1 on lap 1. Map 2 since the main straight of lap 2 until last lap. Map 1 again in the last half of the last lap. Short shifting all the way since the beginning.

I saw my connection bar in red only once. :/

For me driving a RWD car without TCS is suicide, I just spin... would CSA make this not happen? And what about ASM which seems to do the same job as CSA?

I haven't really tested any of the aids except ABS and I switched CSA on for a test after seeing this video, you will need to try for yourself and see, but its best to learn not to use TCS as that does slow you down if you lean on it all the time.
When I tried it, I can do quicker laps with CSA on, but I have a lot of self improvement to make.

Edit : CSA wont completely stop you spinning, you still need to be trying to control the car.

I use a DS4 and have to throttle with X (R2 is broken atm) and I mostly use TCS at 2 and everything else off (except ABS)
But if you struggle with spinning, CSA helps. It also makes you faster in most corners. It just feels a bit weird IMO. The car gets too sticky and I loose the feeling of actually racing a high power car. But, it's used by lots of fast drivers. So if you dont want to handicap yourself, like me, turn it to max!
ASM on the other hand only makes you slow, as it slows you down while accelerating. But you dont spin with it ever ;)

Finally manage to break into DR:A last night. Ran about 10 races at Maggiore using the TT Cup 2016, with all results in top 5 including two wins. Even once I got to D:A I got a few more good results to move a little higher. Now all I need to do is just stay there :D:D:D

Could you list it a little more precise.
Gr.4 on Miyabi? And what are the layouts?

Thx :)

I think you were in my Gr4 sport race lobby last night. You running a blue hurrican? It was divebomb fest upfront with some forceful DR:A drivers "making" themselves room.

Hope you had good races!!

Yeah, that was me! :)
The race was pretty intense, but I got from rank 14 to 7 (if I remember correctly) and it was a lot of fun!
Hard racing, but mostly fair...at least for me. Hope for you too ;)

And I showed all the M4 drivers that a sexy Lambo can keep up the pace easily :sly:

Picked up another win in the Golf yesterday. Odd race - I'm DR B and started second, the guy on pole was DR A and the rest of the field were DR D.

I'd not set a good Q lap, and my time for second on the grid was actually 4 secs slower than the pole sitter. I suppose he thought it would be an easy win but I was within a few tenths of him for the entire race and he hit the wall at the chicane in the last lap when I was reeling him in. Third place was 15 seconds back at the flag.

Had some fun races at Maggiore but someone took their frustration out on me and my SR is back down to A as a result - he was crawling along the pit straight and cars were swerving to avoid him. I passed on the racing line to his right and he rammed me into the wall trying to rejoin the racing line, earning himself a 10 sec penalty. Two corners later he dive bombed me.

I was well impressed when I saw the Lambo on track (I was in the TT doing no pit strat). It was fair for the most part but "making room" where there really wasn't any was an issue. Only because of people running various fuel maps and not being patient. I got second place which I was happy with.

I gave as good as I took. Hard racing but fun!

Ah maybe I'm truly an S racer then ;)

Thanks for the tips, will switch ASM off and CSA on later

Ahhh, I was wondering how you could hold the pace!
You were in the Clubsport Turbo livery right? Nicely done! 👍

What D/S are you guys? Had a couple of excellent battles on Maggiore last night...

Counter Steering is off for me. Even when i switch on its just improving .2-.5 secs.

I did 2:08:052 with Italia at Maggiore with tcs 0 and Counter off.

Then did 2:07:6 with tcs3 and counter on.

Still i am full 5 secs off top 10 time. No matter what line i try or take a corner differently. It just isnt that fast.

Totally clueless. I watch top 10 replays and say to myself well i am doing the same but where am i wrong.

Frustrating.

DR B and SR S
I mostly get matched with DR S/A drivers. Guess I'll never get a pole again
I am newly B/S (just got the S last night) so may see you over the weekend :)

Thanks. Audisport, white with red, grey and black livery.

I'm DR:B SR:S.
Woah.. 29k DR points... maybe I won't see you over the weekend actually! Well, I hope not

I had some awesome races last night at Tokyo, racing with Berz185. The races were... Hectic... To say the least. Most of the time I got punted at turn 1, also encountered twmm9 (I think) pushing me and Berz185 into the walls on the main straight. On top of that I ended up 3rd fastest in the EMEA region, but couldn't put the lap together when I had the potential for 1:55.9.

Overall, was actually a decent event for what it was.

Could not even get into the 2:04s yesterday around Miggiore with the GR4 WRX, top times were 2:02s with mostly M4s. I think for todays Race C daily I will use one of the meta cars.

I just set top time with 4C... This car is amazing...

My first 24km on my Brazilian account. ^^

Will use this account for fun and maybe test some cars. No pressure. :)

Hopefully will make some races later today when I get back home. I'm sure this time won't be there.

So Suzuka is my strongest track. Even if you wake me up at 3 am i can put in a great lap.

But in DR B and SR S,i am absolutely humiliated. Be it the Daily race at Suzuka few days back or yesterday's nations cup. I am so far off the leaders.

Qualifying outside top 10 and unable to pass no matter how crazy i drive.

And this thing has started to happen on all tracks now.

Its only a BS Problem, as soon as SR is below S.i am challenging for a win straightaway.

I have no clue where i am going Wrong. How are people going so much faster every lap. Even when tyre wear kicks in they produce a great lap.

How are they so damm fast?????????Any car settings i can do? Brake Balance?

Suggestions please.
I can tell you that the make or break sections are the first twisty section and the last long straightaway corner exit leading on that straight is crucial.

About the countersteering assistance: I don't have the feeling that the countersteering itself directly makes you quicker. I think it only becomes active when you are about to spin, which the really good guys mostly don't get into the situation in the first place. I think it only helps indirectly by being able to risk more, as the consequences of hitting the throttle too early on a RWD car are not so high, but you still lose time if the car starts spinning and the CSA kicks in.
Personally I use it so I can learn driving with the RWD cars with TCS off, I think the learning effect is better with it on as you can better try getting close to the limit, as the consequences are not that big (I still manage to spin out quite often with CSA set to weak though...).
But I understand that some people would prefer to have it banned from sport mode, it certainly would make a lot of people risk less accelerating out of the corner.

Beware the Lancer @ Brands Hatch A race, the car gains an insane amount of speed with ABS off. If you see someone blowing by you on the final straight with no obvious explanation, they've turned off ABS (learned this one the hard way :ouch:).

Can someone confirm that, is that really true? Why would ABS off make you quicker on the straight!?

Liking the track for race c today, this is my first time on this big layout. 2:17.8 in a RSR with only ABS, meanwhile #1 is into the 13s lol.

It makes no sense indeed; so far it's the only car this has this interaction as far as I'm aware. You can test it extremely easily, just look at your speed crossing the finish line with ABS off vs default.

Ok, I'll check, still "warming up" to get behind the wheel today :)
Normally I do the A race and the Evo sounds like a car I'll be quite ok with, but Brands Hatch is a track where I royally suck. The first curve I fear more than the Dragon Trail chicane...

I’m in love with that 4C on Dragon Trail II
Just did two races during lunch time.
Qualified 2nd on both, Won one and finish 2nd the other.
Can wait to try again tonight!
