Hey guys! Had many great races yesterday in GR.3. But the last one was really hilarious. Lobby was almost DR:S and high A's. So im started from position 9 with a qualifying time of 2.16.3 and came up to position 3 in the finish. Two places in round 2 and 4 places on the last hundreds of meters before the finish line. All drivers have done some stupid failures.

The last one on place 2, that pulled over to the right to kick out the third place should be banned for 72 hours in sport mode. This is a no go in any way. Luck of third the the second was ghosted. This is totally bad!

Was a great race without any touches to others and free from penalty.

Car/track dependant for exact number but I always have it set as far back as I can without losing the rear.

I mainly set it around +2-3, but on Monza, I prefer -1 or 0

And the Gr.3 Ferrari is undrivable with +2 to +5 setting! I always have to set it to -2 for the 458. This thing just wants to spin all the time :scared:

@banckzy what happened at day 67/68? You were lingering about where I am now, but then nearly doubled your points in the next few days

haha I'm not quite sure what happened but seemed to have gotten my act together a little bit.

have to thank the supra races though for my driver rating, dont think I'd be A without it.... won a fair few races in that bad boy... was gutted when i saw the 208 race yesterday instead of the supra

Brands Hatch is usually a bit of a crash fest.....how is it looking today....C S

Not been too bad for me, others have had a few bumps that I've seen. It's just luck of the draw who you get.

A note on this race is that not pitting seems to be the way to go, the Mercedes AMG is also pretty good, especially in the race and I've not got what I can out of it yet in Qualifying so I reckon a normal top 10 driver could easily get it into the current top 10, maybe that'll reduce the Porsche overload a bit too.

Thank you so much, might just give it a go later:cheers:

I just did three races in a row, it's hell on earth, at least for B/S. I don't think it will ever be a good place to look for clean races, the nature of the track benefits rammers.

Oh Boy, C/S will probably be worse, I'll see how it goes, but not keeping my hopes up, I'm just short of DR B and don't really want to go backward:nervous:

I’ve not known Brands Hatch to be a crash fest? Invest some serious time practicing and qualifying near the front and you’ll reduce the risk of mid pack bumper cars!

Almost got another win yesterday in FIA manufacturers Dragons Tail race but I slightly clipped the corner of the wall through the bus stop before the tunnel- that section takes finesse and practice. Sad part is I couldn't save the replay after, my saves must've been full.

Brands Hatch with Gr4 is fun, Gr3 can be stressful depending no what car you use, unless you use a 911, RCZ or Lancer...

What's with the 15x tire wear? Yesterday, the Viper was eating my left front tire alive at Willow. After 6 laps, it was 3 quarters red and the car didn't want to turn into T2 any more. Do you think this tire wear rates are alright or better than before?

BH today... Usually means that I try to follow the guy in front of me and keep out of trouble, as you cannot really overtake fairly. Well, no time tonight anyway.

As I said above use the Mercedes AMG GT GT3, it's not slow and it's real solid in the race, can use map 1 all race and not pit. Of course if you get idiots punting there isn't much you can do about it but that's the same whatever car you use.

I don't know, I was just comparing the two laps, and trying to uderstand how he can brake so deep and take the apex of the curve efficiently. What I can surely say is that braking points where much deeper than mine and I Was trying to understand why. I drive with default ABS and I was supposing this can lead to a worse braking efficiency, but it was just a brainstorm..

I guess you probably already know this but also with ABS on it can make a big difference if you brake in a straight line or steer into the corner. If you steer too much too early the ABS kicks in too hard and braking efficiency decreases quite significantly. So this could be one explanation for the difference in braking points, especially when you approach at high speed towards a tighter corner.

I also had this on Dragon Trail II with the Alfa 4C road car a week or so ago, where I first wondered why others could brake much later until I discovered I was steering too much into the corner too early.

The one make race with the Pug was fairly civilised on Miyabi earlier but I did qualify third so I didn't have to deal with the usual malarky of making your way through the mid field. I maintained position by doing what I always do racing smooth and consistent and watching the driver in front trying desperately to pull away but making each lap slower I got passed by 2nd place who'd been passed by me on the 2nd to last lap but then I watched the 2 drivers in front jousting and waited for the chance to push through and stole the race on the last corner...cleanly

Surely the Toyota FT-1 doesn't handle this badly in real life, does it?

I think we start this race with 15x tire wear. Seriously though this car is a handful. I've found entering the corners a little slower than normal and slowly apply the throttle out helps. The sports soft tires on this car break loose easily if you try to get on the gas too soon. Also, allow more distance for braking on the long straights or you'll just understeer off track.

I FINALLY got my first pole position in brands hatch daily. I did my qualifying last night and got into the race today. (I’m quite happy with it because I’m using a controller and x and square for gas and brake)

BIG mistake, I felt too tense for some reason and honestly ran a bad race and finished in 5th after way too many mistakes on my end and it didn’t help I got punted twice. Worked my way back to 2nd and lost the rear end in a corner and back to 5th :(

Did it with the GR3 evo. I’ll try again later and hopefully more relaxed.

used the WRX Gr3 for the BH race C, had even tire wear on all 4 wheels and had no grip issues, car was fast too. Didn't even need to refuel.
