There were some 919s before but they were replaced by faster times with the Bugatti. What's the fastest time with the Porsche in the Americas?
1:21.355. A Bugatti just popped in at 2nd though. May try again later in the Bugatti.

Edit: Bugatti is definitely faster, especially through the esses. Just went to the top of the US leaderboard at 1:21.059. Best lap with the 919 was 1:21.505.

+5.

@TRL LIGHTNING time is crazy. Especially the second sector. ^^

Thx m8 :D. Was just improving my time to a low .5
And because of the actual races i tested the Porsche as well and I was doing a 20.9 with it
For those who are wondering which brake settings i was running with: basically +5 but i also used +2 only for one corner which is right before sector three starts hehe

I also climbed from D/E to C/B it was a decent track / racing. I to wish I could suss out the final corner can someone advise the optimum way to take it. I was in 5th and at the break marker just released gas and tried to coast the corner in 5th until I could accelerate out of it...
This too is my strategy, but after you let off give it a little gas for stability then aim for the last sharp corner on the inside that sticks out. Once lined up gun it and clip the corner. If done correctly you'll wind up close to the left edge with a good drive out. Do it wrong, and you'r going for a ride.

it's a pretty fun group 4 track today, some of the corners are very complicated to take quickly

I agree. The sun does a good job of masking/obscuring some apexes, but there's a real feel good factor of achieving a clean lap. Some were pulling questionable moves, wrecking races and trying to go two-by-two into the quick chicanes near the end of the lap (NO BUENO!). that said, it seems the better, more thoughtful drivers were on during the evening.

Has anyone else finished behind someone that has a slower time? Today I let the gas go too early, confused where the finish line was on Dragontrail doh. Then I finished 5th with +9.837, while 4th finished with +9.840. Now I'm no math genius but I think 9.837 is smaller than 9.840 :)

Together with a random disconnect and a 5 sec yellow flag penalty in the last lap chicane, and clipping that chicane myself a couple times, roughly -2000 DR so far. I really should practice offline first, yet jumping straight in is just more fun. I like it where you clip the chicane, spin around get stuck and get a 5 sec shortcut penalty while the timer runs down for disqualification as you can't turn around fast enough.

Anyway got the hang of it now, time to restore DR again. But first, snow to shovel before the freezing rain cements it in place. Damn weather.

I would really like to see them expand the daily race schedule from 3 to 5

Then you can use three slots for gr1/3/4, a slot for Nx00, and a slot for a 1 make.

I think a lot of us would like that, but I fear the player base for Sport mode isn't high enough to support 4 or 5 dailies with 10+ people per-race. Let's not forget over half the people who own GTS haven't even raced in Sport mode. Or the fact that many of us are matched with DR ranks 1 or 2 above our current level. I just don't think there's enough players. OTOH, it could be a self-perpetuating situation -- there's been several days where none of the dailies are appealing and I just end up doing time trials or something.

Gr4 Maggiore is fantastic. Had some great great races. Qualified with a 1.27.9xx in the 458. Need food then I'm straight back at it. Gained around 2000DR :)

Have just set up for the evening, work done, wife fed, ha. Decided on Maggiore with the Ferrari. Thought i'd check here to see how it was going. 15-20 laps then see how I do in a race, prob not well. ;-)

Holy cow fellows, what a brilliant race day. You remember my words today, the GR.1 on Dragon Trail makes no fun? HA! It makes fun, with the right car! Done qualifying with Bugatti and raced with 919 *scrn*. Have done now 5 races, and won the last two of them, the others always in top 3. This lifted me up finally to S/S. Im so lucky about this achievement today. Here is the last race i won. Got hunted by two Bugatti, but at least the 919 was the better choice!

Pit at the end of lap 6. Last uphill corner before the last chicane is faster than you think. Trail braking is your friend :) Good luck and hope you have a much fun as I have so far.

@Blacki2k2 nice lap times I can’t break into 1:22 today but after looking at replays there’s a lot more track I can use to boost my times
My thoughts exactly! There are some parts of the track that I would've never thought possible to go all out full throttle. After watching this video though I can't wait to give it a try! (During my practice session of course)

Thx. It was hard for me too to come down to 1.22. I have done 20 quali laps with bugatti and got finally a 1.22.6. Then i tried a race and finished secon and saw, how many performance the 919 on this track had. I run than a qualifying with 40 laps on the 919 and got a 1.22.1. In the races i got mostly a lower 1.22 which was perfect for me. I have many profit from the strong acceleration at the start. It's perfect when you start from third and have two buggatis in fron of you. A little bit defend and whops, done :-)

I think they were mine lol. I dropped 2500dr in one race. The second race I managed to get 500 back in a almost clean race, and called it a day.

Over the moon ! got from being C/C rated this morning up to B/S rating in the Lago races. Used the '86 gr.4 not fast on straight, but a corner sweeper it is.

That Bugattis were giving you a lot of heat, that was a good race to watch.

I'm not enjoying starting on pole in (Gr4 race, 458) 1st gear on the straight!! Happened in 3 races. Had to defend hard into turn one :(

Re: Today’s Gr.1/Dragon Trail

Man, I’m really tired of drivers that wreck easily due to their own stupidity getting back into a race as if nothing happened. Speed boost needs to go.

It’s pretty clear a lot of these people don’t know how to take the turns on this track. Lots of carnage early on. And yet, they’re able to pass on by as if nothing happened.

I get that Gr.1 races are very fast, but I should be able to hold my leads if I’m maintaining top pace and not making mistakes.

I tried to pull off a .7 but failed. That last corner is tricky.

Still happy I was only 0.386 off your time. :)

Ok whoever is in charge of picking the daily races needs to be assigned a new task. Gr3 at Blue Moon? Seriously? Didnt they just do one of those?

This might be the worst batch of dailies so far.

Dragon Trail Reverse with TTS
Maggiore with Scirocco Gr.4
Blue Moon Gr.3 endurance

Someone was having a laugh when they picked these.
