@ThePhantomAli - honestly mate, get your SR to S (preferably 99) and it is a different world. I used to be like you, just hovering between C and A, with occasional jumps to S. My DR reached about 25000 and I got stuck there for a few days. Then I decided to get to SR S so spent a couple of days just avoiding any other cars or contact whilst trying to get reasonable finishing positions (but not worrying too much) and then started racing again and the difference in racing was noticeable, I went from 25000 to 40000 DR in 30 days, whereas it took my 60 days from the first time I hit 10000 to get to 25000.

Recently, I dropped to SR A and it is completely different to racing against people at 99. There is very rarely any intentional contact, whereas in A I saw at least 3 or 4 intentional rams/sideswipes per race.

I promise that the racing is better and it's much easier to hold a semi-permanent S once you get up to 99 and stay there for a few races.

So there’s like an S+ class above S, where a Valhalla of clean racing exists? Then that is my priority right now

i don't have any major problems at S/S in europe, and i share rooms with A/S too in the top split. i did get reset twice recently but the second time was due to some disconnects and the first time happened in a single FIA race. generally speaking there's no big problems

Like I said before mate..... rubbin is racin <snicker>. Why worry about clean racing, it's just a game? <hides behind the Bugatti>.

That darn server maintenance is a pain! First I get a warning that I should save because the maintenance will be in 5 hours, then it pesters me ever minute about it. Just as I'm about to start trying out cars in pre-qualifying chasing the dragon, it flashes up the maintenance will start in 10 mins!!

SR.S is no ticket to clean racing, you need to qualify up front as well. I had to pleasure yesterday of spinning out in lap 1 on Mount Panorama. It was a bad spin and the whole back field of DR.B's and DR.D's drove past. The rest of the race I got stuck behind dirty blockers, deliberately pushed off road when beside, punts from behind and people crashing into walls in front of me impossible to avoid.

I lost 29 SR in that race, the only race yesterday with negative SR. Make sure you never descend to the back... Matchmaking sigh. That cost 1324 DR and 3 races to get back to SR 99.

Racing up front was super clean though, very fast and fun.

So, Friday night started doing some laps on Race A. I had a target 0f 1:08.3 in mind, as per @Nick Cannella's time set earlier in the day :). After 10 or so laps, I couldn't get even close! I tried with all assists off, with CSA weak, with CSA strong and I could not get lower than 1:09. I'd watched 3 of the top 10 replays and was doing everything exactly the same. Then when I was looking through assists I noticed that I left ABS Weak from messing around on Thursday night , next lap was 1:08.8 then down to 1:08.573 after a few more. However, I was never comfortable with the first turn... I just couldn't get consistent with the bump off of the oval so I decided not to enter a race. I had one eye on the Nurburgring GP Nations Cup race too (as I like Nurb GP), so decided to enter that. Got a reasonably good practise time but ****ed up in the Qualifier... only managing a 16th on the grid. Had a decent race though and bagged 9th in the end. Gained 141 points :)
Saturday... wow, what a shower of **** the races were  Willow? No. Suzuka I don't mind, but I set a PB of 2:01.7 which gave me a grid position of 15th in a race with a few of the top 10 so, for the first time ever, I quit at matchmaking. I did 3 races at Suzuka a couple of weekends back, qualifying in like 14th-16th and it is literally pointless... I am just making up numbers and losing a ******** of DR in the process. So, that was the reason for my decision. I ended up just doing a load of laps in the TT Cup on Nurburgring... I don't know the Nordschleife well enough and much like @Sofia Speed I don't have the memory to know what comes next which means that getting a better time is nearly impossible. I got my time down from 9:40ish to 9:12.433 though which I was pleased with. No way was I entering a race there though
Yesterday I chose Maggiore... don't like Tokyo and not up for Panorama at night... started qualifying with a 2:08 which I managed to get down to 2:05.8 but optimal was 2:04.4! If I didn't mess up T1-3, then I would mess up T5, or the hairpin, or the double right hander before the end... eventually managed a 2:05.3 and entered a race, was starting 12th but then half the grid disappeared at matchmaking so I ended up starting 8th, gained 1 position in an uneventful race finishing 7th with a loss of 47 DR points. Did a few more qualifying laps and got a 2:04.8 but no more time for racing after that.

So, pretty dull weekend really. Looking forward to Race A tonight... have had success on Suzuka East before so fingers crossed. Have stopped my DR rot anyway, holding at 37000 for 4 days now.

Sometimes, there are still enough unclean drivers to cause problems even at the very top level, although you could avoid some of the unfair SR drops by avoiding Monza.

Yeah, SR 99 will match you against other SR 99s. Obviously to stay at 99, you have to have near contactless races every race, so there is sort of a different breed of SR/S. Generally, when I am at 99 I will get matched with all DR As and usually a couple of S or a couple of B. If you lose 3 or 4 SR, so you are still S but not a 'perfect' S, then you immediately get matched with Ds and Cs as well. It definitely affects the matchmaking.

Yep, so when I get hit out of 99, or I race at Monza and accidently cut corners, at least I get "rewarded" with lots of poles, wins and fastest laps for a while until I'm 99 again.

Expect to bump into me but please don't bump into me :)
I thought you might be on there :)

Not sure though as you are now elite class and I am not even half A any more :(

But if I do bump into you I will be sure to bump into you :mischievous:

The E30 is so much fun, can't let that one go. Too bad we can't use our own liveries/cars :(

Dude look at my stats I dropped 4k DR points recently  If you're at SR99 we should get matched

EDIT: _ApexPredator should also be showing up I guess :D

Just finished dinner and got myself ready for race. Entered the game and server maintenance msg pop up. What a start:lol:
 only 1 hour 36 to go then...

Yeah I enjoyed throwing it around Tsukuba last week, but only had half hour or so to do some laps so no racing. It seems to handle quite nicely, so Suzuka East should be good

I can't! Your profile has died!!

Brave talking of you to someone who knows your PSN-ID :p

Anyway...

PB on Northern Isle with Group 3 is:

How does that stack against today's times?

And Suzuka East... although incomparable as cars behave so differently even in the same N class...
