Wonder if i sould try race c... as much as I hate the megane it is good for long races at this particular track, at least is error prone due to fwd ...
 
One last question for Race C but was is the best fuel/pit Strategy with the Megane?
 
Been trying out my Gr4 garage to work out what is the best car for me on the mountain. Working my way through the list sorted by manufacturer. The 4C was surprisingly nimble and easy to drive, but just didn't have the legs on Conrad and Mountain strait. So far I just finished with the Hyundai. The Viper has given me the best time so far. That's what I'll probably go with but I want to try some of the others. 💡

Same here. Did a 1:38.837 in my first try. Top 5 at the time but didn't think too much of it since it was only an hour after the new dailies popped up
Fast forward 5 hours later and I'm still in the Top 10 at 8th :odd:

Why Monza sprint on the weekend! Oh well, I don't have time to race until tonight anyway so can''t damage my SR. Wasn't it GR.4 last time on Panorama, mix it up a bit PD. I want to take the GR.3 Corvette out on that track again, or try it in GR.2 :)
 
Question:

Not got GTS yet; so do I have to complete any offline events to unlock online access (like in GT6), or can I go race straight away online in public lobbies?

Nothing to unlock for online. Gt sport does require you to watch the racing etiquette video for playing sport mode though.

Trimmed down my time to a 1:38.680- moved up from 10th to 6th :)
There's a bit more time lurking there... I'm sure of it
Edit: .580. I still crave for more time!
Edit 2: Nah that's all I can muster. Pretty satisfied with it tho :D

Never said anything about fast racers. The races were close and clean, and that equals fun, even to us slow-pokes.

Sorry, that was a stupid comment by me, I am just not a fan of ovals or fast at them
 
Thank you race fans, and welcome, welcome to all the drama at Mount Panorama! After trying a bunch of different cars in pre-qualifying, I managed to beat my time set by the Viper with of all things, my fully sick rexy. Check list time. SR 99. Check. That gives me 19 points to spend getting rear ended, side swiped, spun out and "nudged". After all that, I was matched with a mix of DR/C and DR/D, with a random DR/A squatting on pole (wonder what he did wrong to be stuck with us? :lol:). Qualified P7.

The race started and the usual derby dash for the holeshot didn't happen. I did have to show restrain for a while because it felt like I was right up the rear of the cars in front and they seemed slow. I was doing ok till on the 3rd lap I spun out at the top of the mountain and dropped a few places, then a couple more on Conrad. Come pit time and I was in P3. Didn't change tyres and came out P7. Got an orange SR under auto drive coming out of the pits :dunce:??

The race finished before I got as far as the finish line with me in P7. Didn't get the chance to scrub off the 8s penalty I was carrying, but the person in P8 was 11s behind me :dopey:.

SR still 99, DR up about 600. Another day above DR 1 :D.
 
Just entered race B and as soon as the warm up lobby started literally half of the field disappeared
I mean, I know DCs can happen, but 8 people??? Has anyone seen the same thing before?
(Btw not that bad for me, moved to pole from 4th and got an easy clean win)

Yes, I think about 8 or 9 people were left by the time the race started in my case. It's the game, it always dc's or bluescreens at least one driver and maybe a lot more.

I've lost a number of poles because of getting disconnected but I've also got a few poles because the original pole sitter got disconnected. Also if it happens after the warm up to the pole sitter it glitches the start too, it's almost a standing start. :lol:

Also the other day I was dc'd after the warm up on the final screen before the rolling start starts and then when I tried to run a few qualifying laps before the next race the entire HUD had vanished, I had to restart the game to fix it.

I get penalty no matter what happens there, I go in perfect line, a clown goes inside and rams me, I get 5s..

5 laps , 5 overtake attempts on T1, resulted in going all the way to 11s penalty:boggled:

Started 6, had 1,2,3 lost it thru every T1 + penalty as bonus there lol

Ended up 4th, dropped to sr A, from 99 to 76 points lol.

So if you think 99 is a good buffer for that track, think again:D

Three races at Monza and all three I have been taken out and finished last from top 5 . What is the point . The most infuriating experience ever .
 
Expecting the Nurb and/or tokyo tomorrow. Havent had tokyo yet.

I guess it depends at what level you are racing, although you expect the higher levels to get it by now. Down in the mud where I play, the best strategy is to just accept that you are going to take a hit that first chicane, go to the outside, brake a little bit early, watch the chaos unfold, and take a line that gets you on the inside exiting the chicane, because if you exit the outside, you''l get pushed into the sand trap and have to wait for a re-spawn. After the first chicane, if you play your cards right, you are away before the hooligans can get going again and then you can focus on staying on track. 👍
 
Why the hell did Monza have to be chosen again? I get pushed on the second corner in the my first race putting me back to 14th (after starting 11th), and them going on to finish 8th. Started 5th for the second race, ended up 8th again. Only because of dumb penalties and more idiotic accidents, I mean, five seconds for cutting the Ascari chicane? 2 seconds for screwing up the first two corners? Give me a break, I barely left the track.
