Uh, ah, lol wth?? Second on top ten europe in race B after only 8 q laps?

Fourth day in a row with a top ten time... and more 0.5 secs can be possible...
 
Had a few minutes, so decided to try race A for old times sake. Managed to qualify 2nd and had a fairly competitive race with a couple of people who were probably faster than me. Got the win, though, by making fewer mistakes.

Must have been my first race for a while, as I hadn't seen the penalty marker above another car before. :lol:

Must admit when the dread red penalty sign appears above another car it provides me a few chuckles though I suspect the person
recieving it is probably cursing.
 
Got shafted on race B and C.
Down to DR B.

Was using the Honda on B and got a 1s penalty for a shimmy over the first chicane. Ok, not deserved but I burnt that off, well off the racing line, then got rammed by 2 cars as I was waiting for them to pass and rejoin. Pretty much the same next race and I cocked up my 3rd attempt.
Used the Aston in the Veyron Cup race. Was in a fairly respectful battle, a bit of paint swapping but nothing critical then a guy from up front had a booboo and just rammed us both off trying to pass on the last corner. Didn't even brake afaik.
Bit of a crap selection today imo.

Yep. I was leading in another race. A Veyrons does a bump and run, which allows the 3rd place car, to gain momentum and pass me on the bridge section. The both have the red dunce cap. So, I hang back and wait for pit stops. Jumped them both, but a back marker(hadn't pit yet) barrels thru turn 1 and slams me into the wall. I got pushed down to 6th. Recovered to finish 3rd.

That's why I still feel players should serve their penalties asap. I got shunted and recovered. If they served their penalties, they may have finished 1,2.
 
How are you guys going with the daily race c? My current best time is a 52.4, not amazing but I'm hoping it will be enough to help me fair well in the race

That's unfortunate. I usually stick to race a or b but thought race c didn't look so intimidating this time so I'm gonna try

Currently 7th in US with a 1:51.8. Good for a few poles and a couple of wins. Racing has been fairly clean, most I have seen is maybe half the field with red dot. All Veyrons (including me :D) and 1 Viper on the leaderboard.
 
Did some laps on Race C, just to get to know this variation of the track but I'm not going to race. With the slipstream and all the turns favouring a wide entry people will just divebomb constantly and use others as a brake and it's then likely I'd get the penalty for it too.

Yup I always take my penalties mostly because it's annoying having the penalty on screen all the time.

Have had the bump and run experience a lot at yesterday at Interlagos, both get penalty and I decide to take mine but end up dropping down to
18th place and the Veryron ends up finishing 12th still carrying his penalty, I also had in the same race an Audi come out of ghost from a penalty
on the racing line and had to swerve to avoid which sent me into a spin through Turn 1 and Turn 2 so that put the rage meter on for the rest of
the race.
 
How jealous I am for those who got time to race more. ;)
Had a few minutes in the morning, didn't like any races of today, but the Daily C's quali seemed to be good for quickly earn the daily kilometers. Had a quite good time, so decided to try the race - even if I never attend to this kind of oval-like races. Started from pole, got the first bumps in the 2nd lap from the slipstreaming 2nd and 3rd, then a ram to the armco, then some other bumps in the traffic... found myself with a lot of penalty and rising to about 20s till I reached the main straight to serve safely. Thanks. Rejoined 20th. I was climbing back up, while had several bumps from the same idiot and one from another "racer" (the latter seemed to be unintended). Finished 8th. Maybe if I race more, I could have been lucky, but...
What? I have to be lucky instead of quick and fair? This system still is a joke. A very bad joke.
Wanted to see the replay to know who to be thankful to, but it's too long to share, and doesn't worth watching it and being upset. Just avoid this muppet on the left:

To even mention driving, racing, simulation. Instead of a game with what you can play bowling with matchboxes.

(Edit: lost about 300 DR points and -14 SR. From pole. Without any serious driving errors, with just one unintended bump on my account and countless received...)

It's the left letter next to your username in the matchmaking screen. The other one is your SR. They're also both shown in your profile.

Thanks for the link, according to the site I am current 6857/87 (486 races) so I guess my SR is not so shabby but not sure how
good my DR is, any comments?

Phew... after nearly 500 races and only 6.8k points there is many to improve 4 you. U use a controller?

Yes, a controller player here so I know I probably have a disadvantage over the wheel but my room doesn't have the space for a wheel setup.
 
Even with a controller you can be very competitive ;)
Your DR is quite inconsistent looking at your graph and so is your SR. Every SR-value below 99 isn't really good imho :D You were a mid DR C driver once but then dropped back to DR D again

Yup that's correct, I've been up and down between D and C quite frequently, have hit B twice but never lasted long there.

I probably would be sat at 99 SR but had those bad race B and C yesterday so that dropped it down to 87.

Will get a full day's racing on Friday so I'll use the site to keep an eye on my progress after each race and see if I can identify
any improvements.

Infield is fun, yet GR.4 why so slow. DT Gardens I did not enjoy last time in GR.2, I doubt it will be any better as a sprint race, likely worse. Luckily it's a blue sky today and my pool is starting to warm up :)

Not at all! You can be fast in a controller :)
Like black said, you can definitely improve your DR. There's many threads giving advice on how to get faster as well as improving your racecraft :)
