from your lips to my family... but seriously, twice today had to quit, wasn't winning, but was doing good, so far, can't tell it'll effect my standings. We'll see .
Might need to master a bit of clairvoyancy, these distractions are hard to anticipate.

These Karts are good fun, never tried them in the dailies, managed a time of 0:48.679 and so far have managed 2 2nds, a 3rd and a 1st :gtpflag:

I really want to matchmake with drivers in Europe especially the UK :( I mean I enjoy the American matchmaking races but I'd truly want to race with the Europeans. My race thought of the day...

Oh yes... twice! Ended on a bit of a sad note :(.

I did a few qualifying laps as part of the race entry, and managed to improve my time a bit. That placed me in P6 on a grid of my peers. Good matching.

Race started and I got ahead of a couple of people at the start with some quick shifting. Made it through the first two turns and onwards. At one point I was in P2! I then proceeded to wreck that with a couple of mistakes in the second half of the race. I got an orange SR and finished P11 I think. I have no idea what the end result was but I'm assuming DR and SR down. It was madness! Even though the kart isn't all that fast, the race felt frantic :scared:. Again! Again!

Managed to do an even better qualify time (up to 303), but the match up blew goats . I seem to get worse mismatches when my SR drops. P8. There was one alien, 4xDR/A, 5xDR/B and 5xDR/C. Two of the DR/A were behind me.

The race started and as before it was frantic. I seemed to be faster on the second corner than most of the people who were in front of me. I had to be very careful and keep backing off so as not to hit the karts in front, and I seemed to be doing ok with that (it's a new skill for me :p). I was having an awesome battle for the last 3 laps, but on the final turn, disaster for the guy in front :nervous:.

I had better speed for that corner. He was staying close to the inside. I was right up his rear and my kart was starting to slide. It looked like I'd slide wide and get around him on the outside. My front right wheel tapped his left rear wheel. No big orange SR and he went wide and I came underneath. It all looked very natural and his Kart looked stable. Nearly out of the curve and suddenly he looses control and goes into the sand. This took a while to register and then I had a sinking feeling :guilty:. The end result:

I couldn't remember the name so I couldn't direct a message to them. All I could manage was a pathetic "I'm sorry". They sent a message "Go home In-visigoth" then left. Made a fun race sad :banghead:.

And you went home.... whistling.. :) I hope! :)

I think I only used a Kart on GT6... so on GTS I´m a Karting Virgin... YET!!! Let´s see if late night I´ll try it... Yesterday was my 2nd race at Monza... the 1st an before that last, was way back in time... maybe on the 1st week that track went out on GTS... At that day I said never more... tried yesterday. almost with same result.. How can people be so stupid that with a car like Fiat 500 they use it to provoque dirty.. racing (not dancing... that would be much more interesting..) when all that they have to do is follow a racing line that does nt clash against the guys ahead of you!! It´s so simple easy to pass buy a guy in this track with a car that only reaches 149km/h... (even if it spins sometimes.. stupidly...) all happens at so low speeds and even so.. they push you aside like owning the full track. and don´t care about using brakes.. as if the others are just ghost or a vision... of smoke and nothing else!!! So final result was mostly like my first try... a total delusion about human behavior.. mostly... an absolute regret about stupidity winning sometimes... and on GTS most of times... and a promise to only be back there. when chickens grow teeth... more or less...

PD trying to cover both classes, by offering Le Mans on Saturday and Sunday.

Shame it can't be multi-class. At least for just this weekend.

But Sunday is multi-class with GR.1
It's going to be a game of dodge the 919's again.

I'd like to discuss penalties for early exit from races. Not the one you get after wrecking the entire field then bailing, but the one you get when your phone rings or someone's at the door or RL happens. These should be softer, or at least more circumspect. If I bail, from the top 10, no driving penalty, and on lap 9 of 10, maybe I had to use the can, or an important call is pending. O shouldn't lose any SR over it. Thoughts?

You get 5 SR deducted from disconnecting. If you're on lap 9 of 10 you should have accumulated more than 5 points, so no net loss.

I agree though, getting disconnected before the race start should not cost you anything. You didn't start so why register you as DNF and take the DR and SR. Also getting disconnected after the finish line, before the online save flashes, still registers you as losing to everyone else, has happened to me a few times. It should just count you as finished, since that's what you did.

Disconnecting during the race: I guess since you crossed the start line you wagered your DR and it's not fair to those that are in front of you to not get any points from you. The SR hit is just a minor deterrent, perhaps to stop people quitting multiple races in a row to lower their DR.

Pausing is more annoying during the race. Auto drive drives like crap and is a huge obstacle in the middle of a race. Paused cars need to be ghosted with a warning when they're going live again. Or just ghost and stop. You pressed pause, you pause. You can pause in the pit btw by not selecting tires in case you're close and nature or the phone calls.

I must admit I'm a bit disappointed by today's races - I mean Fiat 500 with the brutal 16 HP and go kart ... thanks but no thanks.

Have you felt that the race may be a SR menace???
I know the shifter races typically are, but personally I've had half-a-dozen or so mostly clean races, I was mainly starting pole though so probably lucky not to have been caught up in some horrors!

Wow, people really can't behave with go-karts, bashing thru in 1 corner just to completely bog out in next. Got total of 8s and orange sr for 2 guys missing a turn and ramming into me from outside..
In guessing not so many are queing cuz in my race there were 4 dr E.

Edit: Did NGP instead, people ramming off each other constantly, I had to crawl behind 2 of them trying to push each other off for entire lap.
Result?
One of them spins out and slams into me, orange SR, 4s penalty, for what?:banghead:

End up dead last, one of only TWO racers with red sr(even tho i got every single sector green), down to sr C and minus 1k dr..🤬
Those two clowns?
Blue sr.
I have a feeling something is terribly wrong with penalty registration.

How does one even get back to sr S as low dr B?

This is by far worst dr I've been in..

I know I'm not. Sold mine a while ago.

Karts and SR bad Combo

Is there a new strategy for cars that have green flags above their roofs? 5 times this morning on race C I had 3 different drivers over 2 races that drove into the side of my car whenever I was passing them, it was definitely intentional. 1 of the 3 spun me out to get past me at T2 rather than just simply trying to pass, oh yeah, he got no penalty either.:mad::mad::mad: GT online is getting where it aint so much fun no more thanks to the neutered penalty system.

So now that there is a reporting system what happens when we report bad drivers? I went from an SR B to a D on Nurnburgring today. I was just trying to race clean and competitive. I finally broke 30,000 DR and really needed to get SR A so for the first time ever I could see DR A. People dive bomb the first corner usually hitting me and giving me a penalty. Then when I passed them they would give me another couple bumps and more penalties.

Maybe the ring just has too many heavy breaking zones that give the unskilled a perceived opening to dive bomb. A Mustang with YOU LOSE written on the back came from 1.8secs back to smash me through the final chicane after I cleanly passed him. Was just really frustrating today. I'm sure its hard for a game to assign blame when even human race stewards make controversial calls. I guess I'm just venting or I just wish people weren't such dicks all the time.

As of now my tutorial for the kart race is only 14% uploaded and it started about 2 hours ago, but in the meantime my lap of 47.251 is on the leaderboards to watch.

Total of 5 wins tonight in the Kart, really enjoyed racing this car/track combo, have felt myself leaning from side to side all night through the corners :D Also went from SR B back to S :)

My best race, won by 19 seconds

I was there, spinning around and losing thousands of DR :D
Thankfully I got those thousands back today. Really nice races all in all tonight but damn it's difficult to keep track of your surroundings without a rear view mirror. I think it's the third race day I've done in sport mode using the roof cam and I still keep getting surprised by late braking people and keep squeezing people a bit as the "dimensions" of the car are a bit different than in bumper cam. But boy is it better for driving (and racing with people you can see)!

Yes, indeed. I prefer cockpit view, but have to use roof cam for Sport Mode. Definitely helps me see more of those around me and of course the track.
