Have sent you a friend request just need to accept it through your messages on your PS4.

Then when you load up GTS go to your leaderboards for race B and my name will be on there with an red/orange play symbol tonthe right, click and play or download 👍

You can do this with all the top10 times also if they’ve shared replay.

Agreed! Love that the older petrol head community have respect for the younger-seriously-fast generation, and the young ones have respect for the older generation. Why can’t real life be like gtplanet.
Double LIKE! :) Cheers :cheers::cheers:

@GA 52 Have a crack at the Audi TT, there really is only one racing line it can take assuming its pretty similar to the Megane Gr4 so you shouldn’t have to adjust to much I reckon you’ll be in the 7’s in no time 👍

Edit: No problems.

Gonna Add ya up for the good times, @Pigems.

Raced B for a bit. While is a TT-fest, I don't feel like driving catalunya.

its more the game in A/A+ DR level. it turns to a one make 90% of the times :/

but I love racing, so I keep coming back... everyday.

I'm the only guy using a NSX in a room full of TT, WRX's and Meganes.

I normally gain tenths on the corners, but the dang straights makes them pull away. plus on the links between layouts as there is a sudden inclination on track, I have to be on my toes on the NSX.
I'll eventually get that optimal of a low 2.28. and perhaps a 2.27 over sunday.

But to any1 meeting on track, lets have a nice one

I have no idea how you guys running sun 2.30 times in race b carry SO MUCH speed through all of the loooooong lefts. i simply don't get how you do it. I start high, turn in and no matter what car i am in it's just understeer and more understeer, I see guys just nailing it and gassing it hard all the way through the corners. How the HELL do you do it?

Throttle undertseer?

If so your on power to early. Need to increase apex speed by not braking too much the cars will rotate off throttle and brake much easier and then its a case of building the throttle without understeering out of the corner.

Trail brake into the corner to get some weight on the front tires to get more grip out of them. This will allow to turn in much faster in the long sweepers.

In corner one brake a touch early but not to hard and turn in well before the single cone, almost at the double cone, only gear down to 4th there(I don’t shift up to 6th in the straight, only 5th and let it run out before braking), half to 3/4 throttle through the first half and hammer down before the apex and swing wide on the way out, carrying that speed up the esses is tough though, no lifting going up the hill.

Second one at the top you barely have to slow down and only gear down to 5th, stay tight to the inside the whole way and swing wide late to exit.

Third one I don’t brake, let off throttle a bit and let it wind down enough to drop a gear and then back on the throttle half way at least until you can hammer down, swing wide on the way out to hold the speed.

I’m not sure how everyone else does it but that’s roughly how I do it, hope it helps someone. :)

Thanks guys, will give it a lash. Same with the fast right at Catalunya, not sure the corner name but not the long right the quick uphill one mid lap before the big stop at the chicane. I lose a solid 6/10ths through there to mid B drivers.

Stay left until the kerb disappears from view (bumpercam) off throttle aiming for sausage kerb on the right hand side but dont touch, as you draw level witn sausage kerb start to build throttle as the car settles draw the car wide on exit with full throttle - sometimes a tiny dab of brake is quicker to point the car mid corner.

(This is with the Porshe)

You’ll get there, just keep watching replays of fast guys and watch for where/when they start to turn and brake, and when and how much they get back on the throttle. And never forget, practice, practice, practice, it took me 25 laps last night just to shave 3 tenths. :)

The trick is to control the balance of the car with your brakes. When you brake te car pitches forward transfering weight to the front givin more grip to the front wheels and less to the rear. You control the pitch, and thus the grip available on the front or rear of the car with your brakes. If you understeer on entry you need to increase the pitch for more grip on the front, so you need to apply a little more brake on turn in. If you oversteer on entry you need the car to pitch less to keep more weight on the rear for more grip, so you brake a little less on entry.

Confession time. I am using the D-pad and X and square buttons. So partial throttle or braking is .... complicated.

I know, i know, i know.

Have you tried using triggers for those? I use X and Square too on DS4 but you do get more control with the triggers for partial inputs.

About 50 times, for hours on end. i can't do it, 100% my issue but i just cannot do it.

Oh I completely understand, I’m the same way, I just can’t use L2/R2. I’ve used X and Square since the original GT, up until I got a wheel(DFGT) around the time of GT5 or 6. I was able to get gold on most of the offline stuff in GTS with the DS4/x/Square while I was waiting for my drivehub to arrive but I am definitely faster with a wheel. I don’t think I could fair nearly as well as I do with the wheel online with a DS4 though.

Info here is gold to me. Many thanks to all.

That’s one of the best parts about sites like this, all the info you just can’t get anywhere else. :)

That’s like me and left foot braking.
Can’t do it.
My right has sooo much more control.
Saw you a couple nights back in that fast lobby race c.:gtpflag:
That guy who won was rollin mid high 147 like clockwork!
A plus.

Ha! Yeah i can't do that, i'm in the 49's. After two nights of getting hammered the game finally realised it was too much for me and last night paired me with nothing but B drivers, I qualified 13 of 18 but raced well and finished 7th. The two nights of rooms full of A+ and A drivers was joyless, and I lost 6,000 DR points

@KONTRAone, is that you on pole?!

:D

I do love this car/track combo lol. I actually lost the lead to @monster-sport71 in that race but it was good fun nonetheless. Only managed to do three races yesterday but luckily the field was stacked like this every time 👍

I hear you man. I personally didn't switch to triggers until gt5, and even then it took a few months to transition.

Regardless, you can still gain some time by doing as others have advised. The trick to those long sweepers is lifting and coasting (especially in an FF. ) Make sure the brake balance is set towards the rear, use a dab of brakes on corner entry to get it to turn in, carry a bit of extra speed on entry and lift/coast until the weight settles, line up the exit and throttle out.

If you can treat yourself to a wheel/pedal combo this holiday season I highly recommend it though. Then you'll really start cutting those lap times down!
