I read all these times and desperately look at my 8:57 on the Nordschleife which I achieved driving as hard as I could.

I think I should lobby for a raceable GT3 Safety car with working rotating beacons

Seriously, I keep wondering where those additional (or rather: less) seconds are to be found. I feel slow. Slower as usual.:odd:
Keep trying, it's a very slow time, you gotta try pushing little by little. The tough part comes that you need to get used to both GP and Nordschleife sections so you can really feel the gap getting bigger.
My time comes to 8:27 on 2nd lap and i went mostly safe driving (lifting off throttle and some brakes most of the time). My first was 8:37 because i spun out at mid-late lap which cost me 7 seconds.

You can also download replays and check them!

What Brake balance are you using in the huracan? @Philtaylor17

Epic time

Yes this. I've been messing with mine but nothing seems perfect, I think I had it on -3 when I set my best lap which is now a scruffy 1:36.0, optimum is a 1:35.77x, but it's unlikely I'll get that, too easy to make an error pushing that hard, I'd be delighted if I can just get under the 1:36 mark.

Cheers guys  im haunted by the missing tenth still  brake balance -1 at the start then -3 when you get into the fast stuff as i prefer the rotation rather than optimum braking distance

What's up with race B. Whenever I touch the outside of turn 1 I get a penalty and when I look at replays they use as much as they can. Annoying af.

Nothing to write home about here either.

I dont remember doing any gr3 around this track before today. Ive now done 3 quali laps total, 8:42, 8:24 and 8:16. Going only slightly faster each time and if honest also making the odd mistake along the way.

Great thing about weeklies is we have the rest of the week to learn the track and chip away at the times.

Most of the time you can use most of it but sometimes you get a penalty, it seems a bit random or there's a trick to it I have not figured out yet. Even following my ghost I sometimes get a penalty when I never did on that lap. Just watch out for cutting the insides of the corners, those penalties will get you in a race even though you gain very little from them.

I'm back on the track, unfortunately the schools are out as well. What a mess! Despite not getting any penalties myself I still got hit enough in the past 2 races to drop to SR.A. 80% were driving around with penalties, over half red ratings at the end. I guess nothing has changed in the month I was gone. Still the same SR Down for every tap from behind.

The track is the star anyway, zooming through the green hell works better than any painkiller. It's still a lot more fun to race against real people than brain dead AI, even though a lot seem just as brain dead in their ridiculous attempts at overtaking. Whatever you do, do not slow down! Just tap the car in front to let them know you are a star drafter.

Next race is loading, better change the tires before the timer is up. I'm getting quite confused now starting on softs one race, hards next race.

I got down to a 8:02.8 in the M6 but i see allot of Supra's appearing on the board now and they seem real fast. Thinking i should take that out for a spin next.

So. Did three B‘s, two with my Scirocco (worked well), one with my Cayman (worked well but not as good as the scirocco). Got caught between the infamous Veyrons and Méganes. Only lost positions but it could‘ve been worse.

Then I tried a race C with the SLS instead of the Porsche. Started 7th with hard tires, finished 12th (no Pits). Nearing the end of Lap 1 I passed a bunch of cars and due to me not driving too aggressive I still had acceptable tires when crossing the finish line.

It‘s okay for the first day. I didn‘t lose too many DRs and I‘ve got seven more days to try. Also I got new Glasses today - minor excuse for my rather poor performance. :D

Wow I’m at BB +4! Will definitely try the - side tomorrow

Sorry i meant +! As in rearwards balance, never forwards in any part of the lap

I always think + should be forward and - as rearward... makes more sense to me anyway

I have more miles in the Gr.4 Huracan than any other car, and I seem to get the best results with -2. There was a discussion here, a while back about also getting better grip under throttle with negative brake bias in all-wheel drive cars. Some people reported noticing the difference, and others didn't.

OMFG this track is so much better than last weeks race B!!! I can drive again lol. I’m down to 1:37.575 so far with an Optimal of 1:37.198 right now and I still feel like there at least a half second or more I cans have and it’s only Monday. Alls right in the world again, Yay! :)

Edit: what does changing the brake bias do to the car? I’ve never frigged with it before, just gearing and ride height.

I was thinking about trying the AMG GT3, but I can't seem to find the ECO button.......

Man, you're pretty broke.

I really should read this discussion before I try the races. Did 3 laps to get up to speed on the N24, and got a half decent lap of 8:27. Entered the race and then see a time under 8 minutes? Lightbulb goes off, and I check the settings to see that there are 3 tyre types this week

Managed to get up from 17th to 10th with a no stop race (and got fastest lap:lol: being the only person to not pit), but now I have to go and practice with RS tyres. Morale of the story is that you should check :gtplanet: more often :)

What car were you using to do a no stop? With the M3 driving it normally I was running on fumes finishing the first lap!

Broke is right my brotha, I just broke 1:37!! Just scored a 1:36.950, I’m loving this track. :D

Edit: In case anyone is wondering about the penalties lol, I’ve been trying to see how hard I can push the first and last turns, Too far apparently on most laps haha. :)

I think so long as the outside edge of your tyres don't go beyond the yellow triangle on the apex you're golden :dopey:.

Ah ok, thanks. It’s seemed so random so far lol, sometimes I barely go off and get one and others I fly way off and get nothing haha. :)

Edit: My 1:36.950 Lap, I just beat it a minute ago but not by much, 1:36.928 now lol. Absolutely loving this track with the TT. :D

Got nothing but 5 straight wins today at Race a in the freaking Hitlermobile with 93 hp, equipped with Sports medium tyres to score a qualifying time of 1:39:873.
Others seem to struggle with it’s RR layout, but not me luckily. I think that was one of the reasons how I won.
First it was the Fiat 500, then last week with the RX-7, now the Beetle is now the N class car to give me a good amount of wins.
Oh, and more than 2,000 DR was earned.

I think people are starting to figure the system out, if they be rough it keeps their SR down and keeps them in the slower races. Man it’s been rough out there tonight, SR dropped all the way to B. I mean, it scored me a Dub in my next race but I won by 7+ seconds, that wasn’t really much fun. I did get paired with my Boss though for the first time, whooped him by 36 seconds, that part was kinda fun haha. Now I can razz him at work tomorrow. :D

I was an A rated driver with a score of 32,715. I did one daily race B tonight and it dropped to 15,000.....the next race it dropped to 7,000. The next race I finished 1st and my score dropped to 6,730. These races included some minor bumping and penalties but nothing abnormal.....

Has this happened to anyone else?

Race B is awesome up 8k DR tonight and into A/S on the new DNA racing account. Some really fun racing.

The hurracan is a beast you can full throttle power slide 1st into 2nd gear through the apex up the hill out of turn 2. Absolute monster.

I knew I wasn‘t qualified for the front of the pack. I did most of the lap with a meager setting of 3. Only over Flugplatz and Schwedenkreuz, Klostertal and Kesselchen, Döttinger Höhe along with Finish Straight I set it to 1. Finished the race with 0.4 Laps left.

You’ve had a DR reset because of your SR score 👍

Oh... I totally forgot about the tyre change in 24H. Well that's embarassing. Gotta give it a spin one more time in the afternoon

After a long break from sport mode, I finally joint another race yesterday.
And I had lots of fun in the M4, even though I was surrounded by only Huracans.

Guess I need to search another, quicker car to compete with the Lambo sheeps tonight :sly:

They say GTS is understeer heaven I think it definitely would be on a Huracan with forwards brake balance! haha

Absolutely battered my SR in this race last night though!
