Goooo tell it on the Mouuuntain! Set my horsepower freeeee.... Yeh, another episode following all the drama. on Mount Panorama. I finished prepping the M4 and off onto the track we go. I started the first day with the Mustang sporting an '85 HDT livery just for the mountain. I had hoped to some day do the 1.5 hour Gr4 enduro lobby of rinsky's. Since as far as I could tell no one had given the rexy any love this year, I figured I'd prep a rexy with the same livery for next year. Since it was done, I figured I'd use it for Bathurst last night. I appeared to have set a trend, so I decided all the cars I race at the mountain this week will use the same livery

. Anyway I couldn't beat my rexy qualy with the M4 (came awfully close), so that time got me P10/14. There were 5 of us DR/Ds on the grid.
The flag drops and it's on! I'm a bit slow at Hell Corner and the car behind I could see was catching up (the M4 is no missile on the straits). I pulled to the side and let him passed. I was right on his tail up the mountain. He went a bit wide headed towards Skyline and had a couple of tyres in the sand, but kept ahead. He went wide at Forest and I slipped cleanly past him hugging the inside and planted it. I had a gap up Conrod, but his GTR was slowly closing. He lost it going into the chase and nearly took me out coming back onto the track after cutting the grass.
On the climb up the Mustang in front didn't quite set up right for The Cutting, and while he was wagging his tail, I squeeked by on the outside with no contact, much to my surprise

. I stayed ahead and the shiny green GTR in front got a bit out of shape at Forest but covered the track which took the wind out of my sails so I couldn't make a pass on the exit or get enough drive to pass on Conrod.
On to lap 3 and the GTR behind caught up was trying to do something at The Cutting, but there was no where for him to go and he hit the wall trying. At Skyline a white Mustang missile came in hot but found all kinds of trouble. Luckily I somehow didn't get hit

. The shiny green GTR kept ahead down Conrod, but muffed it on the exit to The Chase, went a bit wide and I passed on the inside. I managed to hold on to Murrays, make the turn and finish P8 with blue SR and no penalties

.
SR 99, DR went up about 250.
