Me app game not the system

Whats a good GR4 car to start practicing with?

While every circuit has a particularly strong car if you only had to have 1 Gr4 I'd say the Audi TT and Huracan are competitive on most circuits. TT is a little more difficult to drive and a lot more horrible so if learning I'd take the Huracan, handling will forgive a lot and won't be at a major disadvantage on most tracks.

I'm chiming in to this thread to say that PD is REALLY not caring about the dailies at all.

Another GR 4 at Fuji. Another GR 3 at Interlagos. Another GR 2 at Suzuka.

Sure, when they release a new track, that track gets featured, but, after that, it's as rare as a white Rhino. Where's the St. Croix GR3 combo? What happened to Catalunya?

What about the N classes FFS!!! Yes, I know that the N class races come down to cup races because of a META car, but that's still better. They could even impose a manufacturer+N class limit to ensure a cup race. 512BB Race C? Yes please. La Ferrari Race C? Yep. McLaren centric Race B? OMG yes!!

An automated system would do a better job of choosing tracks. For real, it would be less work for PD to implement a random selection than to have human beings planning out these races, and we would have better results. Limit the track selection based on the daily, so no large tracks for Race A and no small tracks for Race B and C. If they don't want to implement an automated system, then use Excel and plan this out better! Heck, they could even implement random selection in Excel and then have humans implement that!!

I know that GR 3 seems to be the most popular, ergo it gets featured more often, but we can have too much of a good thing! Last week was GR3 in Race B! If they're going to carry over GR 3, at least choose a less recent track pairing. What about GR 3 at Fuji? I don't believe we've seen that one.

I ran race A once after a single Q lap in the Megane, did pretty lame. I may go back later today with the TT Cup.

I tried the Ford GT and GR Supra for Interlagos, landed in the 1:35s but then again I didn't know the track yet. For now I'm sitting on a 1:32.9 in the VW GTI VGT which gets me 6th place on the grid on average. Two third place finishes, one fifth place. I know there's a lot left in that lap, it's a matter of finding consistency. I think I'll give the Atenza a try next since that seems to be the meta car this week. DR has gone up about a thousand in the meantime, SR still maxed. :)

Despite a decent gain in DR last week, I was unsatisfied with my performance. I managed probably 20+ wins in Race B, but only a quarter of those races were edge of the seat battles. I turned to Race C for the weekend to see if the Emperor R92CP could be dethroned with the Dorito powered Mazda 787B. My tactics and results:

RS, Pit end of lap 3 - Fail
RM, No Stop - Fail
RH, No Stop - Fail

I had several second place finishes which still wasn't satisfying because I started pole. The one race that was going absolutely positive turned south at Indianapolis on the final lap. For that race I started on pole and was able to break away from the pack before the Mulsanne. I noticed that with the Mazda you could maintain position for the long straight as long as you had around a 2 second lead. It would actually out pull the Nissan until the first chicane.

I managed to get a 7 second lead before pitting at the end of lap 3. Exited the pit in 4th roughly 14 seconds behind the leader. I was able to tuck behind 2nd and 3rd down the Mulsanne which was freaking awesome. 2 R92CPS and a 787B all running within inches of each other at 235mph gave me the chills. I was able to over take them just before Indianapolis and continued to head hunt the leader. Entered the final lap with a 7 second deficit in 2nd.

Things were looking optimal as I had plenty of grip left and the leader was skating on worn mediums. Maintained position down the Mulsanne and prepared to hold off 3rd as we headed toward Indianapolis. He was about 4-5 car lengths behind as we entered the first kink and we were only 3 seconds behind the leader who also had heavy penalties. I began rotating into Indy and was greeted by the most lovely dive bombing DR.B driver tap to my left rear, just enough to go off course and into the sandtrap...Dorito dreams deferred.

Finished comfortably in 3rd 6 seconds behind the leader. Of course the aforementioned driver left immediately. Entering the next session he was tagged by 3 other drivers who called him out for being dirty. He proceeded to call us "noobs".

Onward to this week's races.

How tha whaaaat?
His DR is stuck at 1. Maybe he's driving around in last.

Interlagos was one of the first tracks I learned when I started playing last month. It's kind of funny that you say the Atenza may be the meta. Last time I drove only the Mazda, because I won it and it was the only GR3 car I had. I can't remember seeing any others in my races. What I do remember was that I liked the handling, and could do fast laps in it, but had a hard time getting by people. I could get a better drive and catch up, but on top I had no speed. Maybe things changed with the last update. I'll see how she goes tonight.

How much time are people losing pitting for tires in Race C? I hate nursing dead tires; I'd rather stitch two sprint races together. :D (Assuming I can do so competitively.)

I can't be certain, but I don't think that it's weekly anymore. I think it's back to dailies.

It says DAGELIJKSE which means DAILY. Not sure if that said weekly yesterday, but that would also explain why kudosprime didn't work last few days.

I already had more fun in one morning/4 races than all last week combined. :D

Don't fret. Look at my DR chart.

It doesn't get easier. But it does get more fun. If you keep the SR up.
Your SR history looks a hell of a lot better than mine. You're a model of consistency. Look at the difference: https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?profile=2530016
Mine is ridiculously inconsistent. I can't do what you do.

Okay so that driving in the back, I consider that Fleecing the SR to 99 vs earning it.

That's a good way to get mix matched racers. I have good reason to be worried seeing DR D or E / SR S going in lol

Thanks. And obviously I can't do what you do. Win.
I still wish I had your record. Let me explain.

Winning ~ It's not all it's cracked up to be. Winning your first race on a new car/track combo is cool. A few more may be good if you have some fun battles. But, there have been a couple times where I was really dialed in on a particular daily race, and beat everyone easily (doesn't happen often). After a few pole to victory races, it gets old, really fast. There's really no joy to be had in a race like that. Many racers will end up retiring after 3 or 4 races like that. Many times I've wished I could delete my Q time.

Look at that crazy guy from Canada, Olav or something like that (don't wanna mention his real name too many times and give him a big head). He could win tons of races if he cared to. I suspect he chooses not to qualify because he gets more enjoyment out of battling than gapping the field and cruising to an easy victory.

Some of the really good top-level guys cannot handle finishing second, and get all 🤬 off, and let it ruin their day. Although they get a lot of wins, they can never really enjoy themselves.

The most fun victories for me are when I am not expecting it.

has nurb (either regular or 24h) ever been a part of the dailies?

<-- nurb junkie.

You picked a bad time to start playing. Back in the day, we averaged 24H / Nordy dang near twice a month. It was glorious. Now that races are weekly, I believe we have had Nurb only 3 times between July and now (according to my calculations) which is just awful.

So there's hope! :D

I tried to have a practice at race C, Suzuka - but my game said I have no cars .... I cannot believe I haven't won at least one GR.2 car ... Kudos says I have bought 43 cars and own 222 .... so I thought the game is faulty somehow ... but if I don't own a GR.2 (and surely I do) which one should I buy?

The 2016 Motul Autech GTR is the only way to go in Gr.2.

Im in practice for GR4 at Fuji. I've not driven the track since a while back in GT6 and first time in a GR car in GTS (new to GTS switch from GT6) so I'm running qualifying laps to practice.

Still got some getting used to the car & track to do but I got my bleh time down from 48 to 44 after about 20 laps or so feeling it out. This without going wide in run off areas to save momentum. Clean lap.

I feel I'm getting competitive with my lap time but need to be way more familiar with the car on the track to Race anybody lol plans for today are to get some more seat time in and just run around the track for a good 25 more laps and see how I feel then.

I dont want to be learning while in a race lol

Guys, Why cant I always participate in the race I want? I like race C but for some reason its not always open for me and I cant Join the race?

What does This mean?
