I was trying to improve my time on Race A. 1 lap I flew through very out of control but somehow clean for a 108.499. My average is almost a half second slower. I think I screwed myself until I can get the average down. :irked:
What kind of time has been getting the pole, at that race?

After about 2 hours of practice, I'm still not confident enough to do Daily Race B. I keep messing up Sector 1. I did get my optimal to a 1:37.4xx. I just need to nail all my sectors. My lap times for all the Daily Races:

Daily Race A: 1:07.374

Daily Race B: 1:37.862

Daily Race C: 1:07.613

I have all day tomorrow to improve my single lap pace and do some races.

I used the WRX for race B and it feels like turn 1 is it’s achilles heel. It feels fine around the rest of the track though.

Best lap so far is a 38.6 with BB at 5.

Some people have mentioned feeling better grip accelerating out of turns in the WRX and other AWDs with the brake bias towards the front (unconfirmed).

just had 2 of the bumpiest lobbies since i got the game, group 4 dragans...

started 2nd, was making sure not to his the guy infront, which was slowing me down where i was quicker but i didnt have the speed where i needed to pass so needed a mistake (scirocco vs hurrican in accelration left me for dust!) then an idiot behind just bumps me out the way under braking, knocks me down 2 places, then 3 idiots do the same, get back to pass one shoves me into the wall. finished 11th and very frustrated.

Next was laughable.. started 3rd, 2 spanish guys in a 4c infront (1 was in the lobby before and had set the fastest lap and he was starting pole) LokotoG90 or something, figured i just needed to stay close and hope for a mistake

Well the pole sitter, Loko, went wide chicane so i moved upto 2nd. Then at the hairpin plain on rams he out the way. Furious! Caught him back up, follow him, he struggles again at chicane im next to him at hairpin, brake earlier, he goes deep infront, at the "S" section just before sector 2 he again rams me wide. In all this we've had a car or two get passed us.

Catch him up again and pass, next lap im following someone at chicane, low and behind he rams me again, i therefor ram the guy infront and he goes wide. by this point i had enough and followed the alfa guy, in the "s" bens just before sector 2 he half lost it after hitting yet another person, by now he is next to me, and rams again! He doesnt achieve much and ends up bouncing off me and runs wide.

Final lap i some some guy ahead at hairpin goin side by side but he doesnt leave the other guy any room and infact swipes into him and puts him barrier.

decided i should call it there as im clearly just going to get stuck in lobbies with these guys and i cant be bothered with that :(

All from S rated guys too

I've been racing all day on DR Gardens. I'm actually starting to enjoy the track, it just needed some brute force experience. My DR graph however, looks like DR reset. I've driven all the GR.4 cars, never used the same car in a row, sort of random order to keep it interesting. Actually I did use the Ferrari twice in a row as it still had heavy wet tires on from my stunt driving on Tokyo :banghead: 1:47 best lap with heavy wets while trying to get the pit crew to provide service. They ignored me, bastards were having lunch.

Lap 1 to quickly figure out how the car handles then try to get in the rhythm by lap 3 and pass some cars. It's not a good strategy to get fast at all, just having fun. My best finish so far was 6th in the Lexus and I did once get the fastest lap in the GT-R. I'm down to 15K DR currently, still getting matched with the 1:38 crowd on pole.

The backfield is 'interesting' in the gardens, so many places to stick a nose in to bump pass. The game upped the ante as well, giving me a standing start in one of my races. Just sitting there all by myself waiting for the timer, auto drive not working. Sure give everyone a 10 sec head start as well...

Now if only I had written down my best lap times with each car so I would know which ones to try more... Oh well. I wish it had a random option for the car. Half the time I had already forgotten which car I picked when the race started, can't find out either until the finish in bumper cam. Driving unknown, fun.

I was in that race, and I saw @Sven Jurgens there, as well as in a few other races last night.
I started 3rd in a Blue/Yellow LA Rams liveried Mitsubishi. Dr. B Sr. S right now.

Pigems, you just got smaller and smaller in front of me, and absolutely nothing I could do about it.

Second lap I got nudged off track on the super tight left hander; in the following right left right section I didn't give enough room to the "nudger" on my outside exiting the turn...we bumped and I got 4 seconds. Served the penalty on the ensuing front stretch (not recommended, lost a A LOT more than 4 seconds there), struggled back and finished 5th or 6th. Only penalty I had for the night. (About 6 races).

Sven, I watched the replay of that race (or it might have been the one right after), and saw you split two cars going into the first left hander (1st chicane), pass both perfectly clean before the quick right hander, only to have one of them out of control punt you off a second later. One of those nights....

Cool to race with you guys.
Been lurking for a while around here, really like the forum. Felt compelled to register because I’m the nudger sorry about that, I try to always race clean, I’m very rarely not SR S. But I made a mistake, too late on the brakes in traffic, couldnt keep the inside on the hairpin. Should have known better than to try two wide through the Esses. Sorry for your penalty, I ended up in the kitty litter... karmas a b.... I got punted so hard the next race! So a couple a raced in row I ended up in the back of the pack, some guy named Svenno back there too. Hope to see you all out there

This is what prompted me to set up a 2nd account - once we started on the 'daily weekly' races it was so annoying when i saw track/car combo's that i just couldn't get myself up for - so i started from scratch on another account and then use that just to race when i know i've nothing to lose. The only thing is you start with hardly any cars so you need to grind a few AI races to earn some £££. I then just use my main account when i see races i enjoy and can compete in.
Doesn't having two accounts double the cost of the Sony on line subscription?

DT Gardens. I can’t seem to break 1:40 or hit 1:40 consistently. I tried the 4c but I’m slower than with ths Corvette. I tried the TT Cup but didn’t beat my Corvette time. My main struggle is the chicane where everyone cuts the corners, getting the bumps in the middle of the cars. I only hit 29-30s through Sector 1.
Interesting, I hit 1:39.3xx without cutting the chicane corners. Gotta give the corners another try. I too have only been clearing 29's and 30's in the 1st sector. Looks like another night of practice for me, until the GTSport kiddies go to bed for the night.

So, it looks like some dude from France did a 1:04.9 at Maggiore. Can't be legit. Is there any way for someone in North America to see the replay?

EDIT: I read your post wrong but you need an account in EU to do that

I have this mental image of Pigems after crossing the line and pulling in to the pits at the end of the race, opening the door and a cloud of smoke pouring out. He gets out and says "Yeh mon..."

Only race for the evening, Race B. I went out with the M4 after de-Brockyfying it. So much more controlled than the WRX. Was nice to be able to get the car settled at the first turn of the 4 consecutive right handers and just put the foot to the floor and take them as one big long turn. Shame I just couldn't quite manage that during the race . I beat my WRX qualifying time on the second qualifying lap. I started P9/12 as the highest placed DR/C... mainly because I was the *only* DR/C :p. Three DR/Ds behind me and DR/A and B in front.

Race starts and I was hanging with the guys in front for 2 laps before I started to fall behind. I was being way too cautious and the guy behind me hit me trying to pass. It was a pretty aggressive try that almost seemed like he completely ignored the fact that there was a car there. I got an orange SR for that :banghead:. I re-passed him cleanly and just focused on staying on track. Up ahead were victims, which surprised me, so I finished P6, 10s behind the car in P5.

I didn't drive well, but well enough to stay on the track. SR still 99, DR went up about 350. Day 12, the DR/C odyssey continues :dopey:.
Had to reel in my approach, and way of thinking last night at the Garden. Couldn't figure out why my DR was declining. So I made the conscience decision to run 1 last race, and call it a night. Low and behold, I managed to keep it clean, and on the track started 9th or 10th finished 3rd. SR still at 99, and DR increased by a couple hundred :odd:. Thought to myself "not bad, 1 more couldn't hurt" :scared:. Next race started 7th or 8th, and finished 3rd again :dopey:. I guess hind sight really is 20/20. I think I got bit by the dub bug from last week. As soon as I stopped pushing on the limit all the time, and just relaxed and took only the opportunities that were presented before me the racing got faster, cleaner, and profitable.

The GTR is super smooth, all around. BB +1, TCS 3. I have horrible pedals so TCS is unfortunately mandatory. Side note to that, lowering TCS raises Q time even if it’s still very controlled and clean.

It's good JPW802, no problem. Nudging happens, sometimes it's nobody's fault. If I felt aggrieved I woulda called it a punt. It wasn't.
You can go 2 wide through there (sometimes); I'm the one who didn't leave enough room.....and more importantly I didn't use my radar! I deserved the penalty.

Got to Dr.A today and my Race B top 3 qualifying time has turned into an 8-10th qualifying time. There's time to be had, I have to get more consistent.

Well I got 2 races in tonight and I managed to shave 2 tenths off my time for Race B to 38.4. The first race I was originally starting second to a fella with a 37.2 time in an all DR B SR S room, he didn’t end up making it through warmup though so I got the pole to start the race. I had a good run and went lights to flag by 5s for a Clean Dub + FL + CRB, the trifecta!! It was actually win #60 if I’m counting both accounts, #6 on my new one though. :D

Second race, another B/S room with two A/S drivers mixed in, the 37.2 dude was back on the pole and this time he made it through warmup, yup it wasn’t a fluke lap lol, he was fast. I held onto his shadow for two laps but after that he was gone and the dude in the WRX behind me started catching me over the last two laps, he spend lap 4 near right on my back bumper but never got past that and fell back to .7 behind by the final corners and I managed to finish 2nd with another CRB, 5s behind the 37.2 dude. It wasn’t my best race, I made a few lazy mistakes thinking the Subaru was farther behind then he really was, that’s how he ended up on my bumper, I got lucky this time.

Over my past 4 races I’ve gained just over 4500 DR while maintaining 99 SR, might be my best stretch yet. :)

I use several profiles all on the one Playstation subscription. There's no need for separate PSN accounts... just profiles.

I’ve got a secondary profile on my sons PS4 so I could play two player offline games with him but only his account can access online features as far as I know because only his profile paid for the PSN subscription to play games online. I don’t know about other online features like the PS Store, Netflix, etc..

Tough luck last night. My internet was acting up (no surprises there) and despite starting Race C on pole the lag means I got bumped every single corner (whether intentional or not, who knows). I quit after 2 laps as the race was just undrivable with cars teleporting everywhere. If you're in that race, sorry guys.

I changed my welcome message to "Sorry for bad lag, pls give me space" and tried Race A. Someone replied back "LOL go to the back". Proceeded to win the race anyways  Best to shut them up on the track.

Race B I need to learn how to cut the chicane. I swear in previous combos using this track you'd get slapped with a hefty penalty for even slightly riding the kerbs there. Just classic PD and their inconsistent penalties...

what is the brake cheat?

i'm enjoying race a and doing well on it. the two hairpins, momentum and consistency are key.

Nothing quite as cool as hitting the trifecta!

🤬 Sven! Can you make the game any harder? I could only hope to be as fast while being consistent, (and as clean as possible) one day . My hat's off to you Sir!

Here you go. All the information you need :) https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/g...plus-benefits-with-a-friend-on-playstation-4/

I have 3 active profiles on the one PS4 with only one PSN account. One I use only for racing games, one for miscellaneous other games and the third I use for when friends come over wanting to try out my rig to race online (I don't want them to make me look bad :O).

Did 3 more races tonight in Race B, the first two were ok with 4th and 5ths but the third one I lost focus and ended up having a disaster of a race and finished 12th, so I'm done for the night. Really good turn out in the lobbies though, all players in the lobbies were A or A+, the top 10 of 15/16 was separated by one second in qualifying time. It was really competitive, make one small mistake and you lose multiple places.

Some people have mentioned feeling better grip accelerating out of turns in the WRX and other AWDs with the brake bias towards the front (unconfirmed).

Changed it to -3 and immediately improved, thanks for the tip.

I ran some laps in the A race. Found getting into the 1:08's pretty easy...1:07's not so much. Maybe 20 laps, lots of 08.2's and a best of 1:08.07x. Ran some laps for the C race...much harder. Couldn't break 1:09. Still can't figure out the B race. I don't think I've gotten below a 1:41. No Q, but I've raced there 3 times. Last one cost me my SR-S. Started 15 of 15, and 14th had a 1:46 Q time. Went by him after the chicane, and he punted me in the hairpin. Caught up and made a clean pass in the uphill esses, and he knocked me off going into the right handers. After a few more encounters, and 2 orange flags, I got by and pulled 13 seconds in the last 2 laps, 4 seconds behind 13th. Time to work back up to S. At least I still have 78 points to build on. Might have to run the A race, since it seems to be the only place I'm competitive this week so far. Don't know if SR will benefit, though. I did get to take a roll in the Fiat the first time through T1.
