When there are 19-20 cars on track, getting clear of traffic, is the name of the game. Crazy, crazy, dealing with slower cars at the back. When I see the qualy times at the start, 2:04/2:05.xxx from P1-P8, then 2:09-2:10 from P11-P18, I'm doing low 7's in the race. Some people just can't get out of their own way.
Well, these last races were interesting. In a nutshell: Hard racing, drafting, late braking, squeezing, traffic
The most I gathered from the last seven cars are, weaknesses. The Scirocco's weakness is its strength at corner entry. In order to have a strong exit, I have to wait for the car ahead to get on the gas. BY then, my advantage is lost and I have to rely on its top speed. I've caught cars ahead so quickly in the corners, it wasn't funny. Just frustrating.
The RCZ was another story. Not one point of contact the whole race and on the last corner, the player who I gave room on the inside, decides to bump me to take the spot. Why? Raced the whole race fair and square. I told him/her it wasn't needed. I left so much room.
Anyway, after all this, all the different drivetrain configurations, strengths, weaknesses. fun and frustration, there had to be a car that did it all for me.
That car is, the GT-R.
No hangups with it. It's stable, fast, has grip, sounds good, cockpit and roof/bonnet cam work fine, fuel and tyre wear were right, the car is easy to control. That's it.
Honorable mention goes to the WRX. It's a nimble ride. I don't use it, but it did what it did today. Easy to drive with a bit of looseness. Preferred it to the Evo actually.
27 cars. 27 races. Good night.
