Excuse me guy, I have aquestion...
Which is the car for the RACE A ?

Thanks
IR

The events are open. I checked this morning, all three daily races had switched over to the new events for this week....
ah ok cheers... i always use gtsportraces.com to see the race times - guess that doesn't update with the correct race times then :odd:

I've ended my Maggiore campaign with all MR cars used, so here's the last 3 races.

04:30 Room
Car: Volkswagen GTI VGT Gr.3 "R-Line"
Start Position: 1st
Finish Position: 1st
Total Race Time: 7:52.xxx

This car is understeery, and it's pretty awful as well. Nonetheless, I've managed some consistent 1:57s throughout the race.

The final two races are all using the Alfa Romeo 4C Gr.3 "Tewi Inaba"

04:50 Room
Start Position: 1st
Finish Position: 5th
Total Race Time: 8:06.xxx (+10.0xx seconds behind the winner)

BEWARE OF A HONG KONG GUY IN A YELLOW AND BLUE RC F GT3! I was expecting him to go to the outside of T8 (I consider the turns after T5 as T6A, T6B, T6C, T7A, and T7B), but NOPE, he stays on the inside and made me like @Sven Jurgens versus him being like a typical LatAm racer back in the Americas (no replay cuz its too shameful to end my campaign in THAT!)

05:10 Room
Start Position: 1st
Finish Position: 1st
Total Race Time: 7:51.7xx

A much better race with a fast C/S driver holding said Hong Kong guy (his rating is B/A by the way) up until his eventual binning, and the Hong Kong guy couldn't catch up fast enough to me to gain a triple-star victory to finish off my Maggiore Campaign!

Off to Suzuka and Dragon Trail for some more racing!

Dude brake checked me and ended in an epic FAIL! I bumped him in the uphill esses and he went into the gravel. Knucklehead. That'll teach him for blocking. I flashed the lights in anger and kept the pressure on. He then, decides now is the time to brake check me on a turn. Riiiiiiight. We were battling for 2nd place. Should have kept his reserve. Nope. I typed, "Ha ha".

What's the GR4 car in Daily A this week? In work and can't check.

I made a mess of last week. Not much race time. Set a good quali on Daily C and had a couple of good races with DR gains and top 5 finishes early in the week. Unfortunately I don't always have time for a Daily C so I raced B instead on Sunday whenever I had a moment to pop into a lobby. Even though my quali was way off, starting last 2 or 3 in grid each time. The result was a 7K drop in DR over only about 6 races. A big problem was that I was setting good times in the RS01 but liable to make a mistake at least once a race which meant that I started way back, made up 5 or 6 places but then lost them all again for some silly error on my behalf. Then I used the Beetle which was much more stable but slower so while I never made mistakes I just wasn't fast enough to make up places either.

On another note, I've noticed more and more over the last couple of weeks that drivers in the top 3, 4, 5 places are either pulling over on the start grid or on the final straight and giving up places. Looks to me like players are intentionally trying to tank their DR in order to give themselves a better chance of wins. Since they are already SR S rank it's not being done to avoid contact and gain SR.

Cheers! That's down right weird though. Daily A is very rarely a GR3 or 4 car but the last time it was if I recall it was the same track and the same car.
I sadly don't recall. The closest thing I remember is doing the same track but with the old Fiat.

Qualifying is overrated

Got a nice victory yesterday in RaceA with the Honda Beat, but some british dude complained to me after the race.
During the first lap we were battling for 2nd and 3rd place and he never left me any room when I was on the inside. He consistently dove to the apex as If he were alone. After a few turns I decided to force my luck a little bit and pushed him a bit wide... Not proud of this move but with a win for grabs I had no time to lose with sour players.
He eventually caught up to me in the last lap and I only won by 0.02sec.:D
The man was pissed, to say the least.🤬

Yeah it was the first week of December we had Lago Maggiore Centre in the Scirocco. It's a nice combination but it is odd that they choose a Gr.4 One Make (which is rare) and then just use this car.

Perhaps some money changed hands between VW and PD/Sony.

@watto79: That idea of money changing hands influencing in-game decisions has also been mooted as the reason Gr4 FF cars (VW Audi Group - TT & Scirocco - not to mention recent Gr3 R8 improvements) are so over performing (not just power but handling too). I do love a good conspiracy theory so I'm perfectly willing to ad fuel to it even without any shred of evidence. You would think that with all the cars and all the tracks the odds on them needing to use exactly the same car and track combo so would be a million to one, like the odds of anything coming from Mars. *Que Music* "But sill they come...."

Same with Porsche (also VAG). Every game I've played theyre either the best handling or OP in class.

Unless something else has changed (they seem to screw something up every update), you should be able to thread the needle with almost all the Gr4 cars. I always have to lift slightly for Gr3. Be bold!
that's my train of thought as well... and then you forget when you jump in a Gr3 and try it.... 'I can make this on full throttle... nope!'

I just snuck in a Race B and there was a start line glitch. Everyone got stuck behind a stationery P6 while 5 of us started the race. Hopefully it's a one off.

As for my race, I managed a 1:46.0 qualifying that in these early stages was good enough for pole. It's been so long that happened that I buckled under the pressure and stacked it into turn 1. I also managed to mess up the chicane on the first lap.

Finished P4 with the fastest lap but was pretty disappointed with myself!

Down here at the other end of the racing spectrum (the slow end) I ventured back into Sport after several weeks away (not up to the races!). Thought that as my qually time wasn't as far off the top 10 as it had been, I'd give it a go.
10 or 11 in the A race ranging from D (me) to S for DR and SR generally A or S. I started 7th (not last for a change) but 2 didn't post times. Off to a reasonable start but saw the mayhem at the first corner and backed right off, dropping me down to 9th or 10th.
Managed to get back up to, and finish, 6th. And beat my qualifying time by over a second. I was quite pleased, but didn't get any DR, according to Kudos Prime, so still basking on.... one point. SR at max though.
Still, glad to be dipping a toe back in, and don't worry, I'll stay away from the fast races.... for now.

First two attempts at DT: Seaside, 12th and 15th, both rammed off as soon as I overtake a car. I understand that people don't know the track yet day 1, however in that case brake early, don't start with dive bombs, sigh. Red ratings and cursing, SR.S at its best.

We all love to be beside the seasiiiiide, yes we do like to be beside the seeeeeeeeeeea! Race B and I started the week with a less than spectacular qualifying time with the trophy. It's a "safe" car, but somewhat nerfed on power. I got hit by the "reset to sport mode page" bug. Re-started the game and tried again. This time it stuck and I started P9/16 on a grid of DR/D and C.

The usual dash for crash into the chicane and I got hit, but made it through and gained a couple of positions. I was following the two cars in front closely when we got to the bus stop. I didn't know if they were both going to go flat chat or not, so I backed off slightly and sure enough, one of them slammed the wall and spun out. Safely through I was doing ok when I had a lambo hit me 3 times with orange SRs for me because I was braking in the braking zone. The third time was a push pass. Yes he had an inside line, but not close to overlap when I turned in. I was already committed to the corner when he barged through on the inside. In Gr4 races I always seem to be getting rear-ended by lambos . After he pushed passed I had a TT make a clean pass. My right foot was buried in the shag of the foot well, I had nothing.

After that it was trying to keep up and not quite getting the cornering right compared to qualifying. I finished P7.

SR white so no loss at least. DR went up 300 so all in all not entirely bad. Another day above DR 1:dopey:.

I had a crack at Race C with the rexy. I was set for the half past midnight run, but I was disconnected where i would normally get the reset bug. Next race 1am.. erm... no . Shame... I was set to start P7/18 when I was disconnected :odd:.

Productive day on race B couple of wins and a couple of second places. Albeit I only have a DR of D but getting closer to C. Won both races by over 8 seconds, fastest laps etc. This is really helping my DR rating. Need to improve my qualifying though. In one race dipped just under 1:48 but my qualifying is only 1:49:2

Plenty of fun/time to be had! Should also add I don’t quite have the minerals to go flat through the bus stop

First go at race a.... divers abound. Not sure why but i was getting dive bomed constantly, it didn't result in me getting banged around nor penalties somehow. It is however massively annoying on this track to be dive bomed in the first and last corners to then be held up by that person the rest of the track... hoping it gets better, I'll probably do some race b this week aswell since i like that track.

After about 5 laps before the first race my lap time is still a lowly 48.6 still trying to feel it out, i am no good with ff in real life or in game, it is the drivetrain I have the least amount of time with...

Hog wash. They know the track. Players are getting salty when you're faster than them. My Atenza is pretty darn fast. Corner exit and braking are awesome. Some of them Huracan users don't like my 4 -door sedan showing them up. ;)
