Happy Monday Everybody! :)

I started with the TT this morning because it’s usually one of my better cars, and tracks, though I’d prefer LMW forward. I’ve got it down to a 1:29.0 so far though, I think I’m slowing down way to much for the hairpin, plus T1 and the 3rd last turn up the hill still have a fair bit of time left in them as well. :)

Excellent Lap @Mistah_MCA !!

Nice lap! For T1, I go a bit deeper to hit that apex.

... and then I start to drive over the apex for the later turns (T3/4 and the hairpin)

I was stuck on 1:28.074 for a solid hour before I brought it to the 1:27 territory. It drove me insane!!!

I got my Catalunya time down to 1.47:5 in the Test Car. Maybe time to race. :scared:

TT down to 28.0, I don’t think I’ll be besting that lap anytime soon. :)

But the zero. I'd still be kicking myself over not hurdling over the zero barrier.

(Great time. I'm at 1.29:3 although I could probably squeeze some more out of the corners from the downhill straights.)

Shouldn't that Fuji race be with the SF19 Toyota to compensate the Suzuka race with the SF19 Honda?
I actually predicted last week before Kudosprime listed the upcoming week's events that Race C would be the Toyota SF19 at Fuji. I was mostly right...since it's a Toyota-only race at Fuji.

TY Sir, same to you man! Thanks for the advice, I couldn’t quite catch you today, hopefully tomorrow.

I normally would too, but I had just shaved a few tenths off to a 28.4 and had already backed out planning to go back to race C, then at the last minute I decided to go back for just one more lap and that’s when I got the 28.0, I honestly don’t know if I can beat that that lap, it was really unexpected to get one that low. :)

@Pigems wow, you've gotten very fast recently! Although I do agree with @Tea_Leaves, I wouldn't stop before subbing 1:28 if I was this close :)

As for me, still no time to play... well actually I do have time right now, but that's because I'm sick so I can't play either way :(

Thanks man, I’m not sure where the extra little bit of speed has come from lately to be honest, I’m chalking it up to favourable combos, either way I’ll take it though. :D

Hope you’re feeling better and able to get back out there soon man.

Tried a race A. Got pushed aside no less than 3 times before quitting. Continuing from last week that makes 8 out of my last 10 races being bumped off the track. I'm not losing points and more often than not I make back my spot. But I'd be an idiot to continue this pattern in Sports Mode.

Race A With the dreaded TT :D Not so bad after all. Actually had fun with it, and the track is quite fun, when you got the lines ok.
Qualy 1:28.729
Did one race, started P4 and finished P2, my door number was 11. 2 A+ and rest of the room A dr.
Managed somehow finish with red SR:S. So 91 left on SR points. Bit odd thou, I didnt hit no one??

Weird, you seem to hit every apex bang on, surprised you are not even faster.

I retired from online racing last week after my bump down to DR D again, now I'm just doing the qualifying laps to get my name on the board.

I might relent and try the 86 race this week but sport mode is proving too stressful for me at the moment, I really should find something offline to play...

Not a win, but I’m enjoying Race B. upload_2019-4-8_13-5-36.jpeg

Create an alt account. Remain anonymous. Be the one who throws the first punch, or at least be a counter-puncher. Stress-free racing.

Not racing achieves the same thing for me. And sends a clearer message I believe. Alt accounts might give them the impression that there are more players than there really are and are enjoying things the way they are.

I understand what you mean, I just wanted to share my alt account experience. I resisted creating a new account for a long time. The reason I finally did it, was just to preserve my main account. What I mean by that is that I've got a dream of someday getting to A+, even if it's only for a day. After the Le Mans race in January, I actually got up to 45k. About a week later, I found myself reset to 5k, due to getting in a squabble with someone, somewhere, over who knows what. I'm pretty good at shooting myself in the foot. :ouch:

Because I like going to the track to compete and have fun, means I was entering races that I just wasn't good at, which lead to trouble. People with one account, who want to preserve, and grow their ratings will sometimes just take a week off if they don't think the car/track combos will be favorable for them. I ain't gonna do that, though. I don't like the looks of any of this week's races, but I'll be out there, racing on my alt account, not worrying about anything.

I guess there are many reasons for having multiple accounts. Someone mentioned here, recently how relaxing it is to race on a new account, when you don't really care what happens. Maybe it could be that for you. Probably 50 people have created a 2nd/3rd/4th account already, today.

Had that ASM on, it was holding me back. So clearly PD has nerfed driving aids some how. Even the CSA felt wierd with the SF19 last week.

I took the aids off and had few more (like many...) laps and got my time to 1:28.650. Still so me learning to do, I seem to strugle with the s curves before the down hill. I think that I come in too fast for first and cant keep on throttle in the right hander that leads to hairpin. ( track limits  )

Somebody used to post jump pictures here, so I made the TT DANCE  Cut the corner too much and got penalty, just decided to test the wall instead.

It's very difficult to say where you lost SR as you've recorded the replay which doesn't show any information like SR or penalties, instead of recording the race live which does.

Personally, I don’t believe alt account is useful.
Also, I’m convinced that using a wheel is a tremendous advantage when dealing with contact.
Also, I always qual. Why would I want to start behind people slower than me?
Also, starting with no qual means encountering more cars which means odds are you will see the most possible dirty and slow drivers.
Everyone’s sr is in their own control.
It’s racing, you have to drive the car and run the race. You can’t let it drive you and you can’t put yourself in vulnerable positions and let the race run you.
Personally I see many posts crying about the mean old dirty racer that ruined someone’s race. It’s racing. Accidents happen. Dirty racers exist.
That said, there’s a ton of great racing to be had. Plus at 99sr you have plenty of leeway to fight fire with fire. Everyone in top sr rooms knows this and acts accordingly.
I think sport is bloody brilliant!
I can’t wait to get on tonight and play Catalunya!

Yep, I was wondering this after i posted that reply. I think that the driver behind me bumbed in to me couple times. I would say that it was the cause.

I treid a few laps in the audi this morning and i just am not feling that combo. I don't like eithe r of the other tracks this week so i might do some a races but mostly i thinm i will doing personal time trials and possibly give some of my other games some playtime. I cant believe some of the lap times for the a race, i can't see myself gettin under 1.30....

Really pleased to see Catalunya back in the dailies. It's a challenging track, especially if your car's prone to oversteer. I did half a lap in the Supra before abandoning. I've seen a few 911 RSRs pointing the wrong way today as well.

Did a few goes in the RSR and the McLaren F1 GTR, but my favourite for this track so far is the Vantage V12. It has the best sound and the throttle control for steering is joyful. Managed a win from 7th earlier after everyone else stuffed up :D

It can be, to some people, all personal choice really. :)

Also, I’m convinced that using a wheel is a tremendous advantage when dealing with contact.

I don't think it is, if anything it is probably easier on the pad and easier to drive dirty too, add assists like CSA and it's even easier to drive dirty and recover from dirtiness. However I'll admit I never use the pad anymore so I could be wrong here. ;)

Also, I always qual. Why would I want to start behind people slower than me?

Fun and to complain when something goes even a tiny bit wrong, which is to be expected starting last but who doesn't like a good moan every now and then. :D

Also, starting with no qual means encountering more cars which means odds are you will see the most possible dirty and slow drivers.

It does and it's certainly a different challenge to normal racing.

Everyone’s sr is in their own control.

I agree, mostly anyway. It's too easy to get max SR even starting last for it mean anything though. :boggled:

It’s racing, you have to drive the car and run the race. You can’t let it drive you and you can’t put yourself in vulnerable positions and let the race run you.

I agree that some incidents are very avoidable but sometimes no matter what you do you are stuffed, yes that's racing but it doesn't mean you can't complain about it. 💡

Personally I see many posts crying about the mean old dirty racer that ruined someone’s race. It’s racing. Accidents happen. Dirty racers exist.

Some dirty drivers are so bad they deserve a permanent ban from Sport Mode. People have stopped playing because of them and that shouldn't be ignored.

I'm quick enough to beat a lot of drivers but not quick enough to ever go to a live event and I have barely raced the FIA races too, so basically my ratings are meaningless, I could go on tomorrow and take out anyone I think is an idiot, I won't do that because I believe that behaviour is just as bad and because many times I've been the innocent victim of the guys in front having a fight on track. I will force my way through very reluctantly but never drive another car of track on purpose.

Personally I don't think bumping, barging, ramming and retaliating are great racing but some clearly do and that's why they do it and they probably complain when people complain about them, that's just life.

The game does try (sort of) to give out penalties for the behaviour that people complain about, so it seems I'm doing it the correct way but then again who knows when the game allows others to do the exact same thing I'd get a penalty for and get away with it. This is also something people complain about unsurprisingly.

I think sport is bloody brilliant!

It is, mostly but it can be spoiled by just an odd idiot sometimes, hence the complaining. That does not mean we all think it's awful, I'd like to think we would just not play the game then and not post in this section. I also think it could be better than it is too and again that does not mean I think it's bad.:gtplanet:

I like Race B. Used the MPower M6 and had a respectful battle with a 650S. I was having better acceleration out of corners, but that thing was pulling me on the straights and had better turn in.
The post above reminded me of the Aston. Forgot to have my first race with it as I'm using the cars by alphabetically.

Hopefully, I'll have some time to get in the Aston, Walkenhorst M6, Z4, Ferrari and Lambo.

That TT is very sensetive to throtle use. It will understeer easy, if trotle is aplyed too fast.
That track actually has good flow. Some corners you cant see the apex and just need to know when to turn in.:)

I was going to give the Vantage a run but I have been using the F-type after pretty much never using it before this race. I tried it originally because it is the only supercharged gr3 i believe. it seems similar to the viper so i can get down with that!

might have to switch and do a proper run in the vantage today.

I don’t know Catalunya very well at all, I’ve only ever run a handful of laps there before so it’s gonna take some getting used too, the Porsche looked like the popular choice early on so I gave it a go first. It’s not a bad track, and the Porsche does seem to work pretty well here, got it down to a 1:47.5 so far, I’m gonna keep working on this one though as Gr3 is not one of my stronger categories. :)

What other cars are good to try here?
