Time for the obligatory stop qualifying and start racing! :banghead:

You are correct, but I’m really enjoying Interlagos right now(there’s a sentence I never thought I’d ever say  ) and I really want those two tenths. I do want to race though, it is Thursday already and I haven’t done one yet this week. :)

That's an amazing lap bud. I have no idea why I can make the Huracan work for me. Not sure I can have the ability to get the Evo much faster as it seems easy to lose momentum easily. Once again we are less than a tenth apart, but with 2 different cars. Interesting.

TYVM Sir, I was never able to drive the Huracan before that major physics update a few months back, it changed this car a lot for me. Now it’s my go to Gr4 car most times.

I couldn’t make it work in the Lancer, I love the way it brakes and turns in but I couldn’t carry enough speed with it, it’s a very nice car to drive though, very stable. 38.2 is smokin fast in that car man!! Very well done my friend.

Edit: has anyone tried driving the Lancer like a super slow car yet? Like staying in higher gears around corners to lessen rolling resistance and maintain more speed? Maybe that’s the trick to getting more out of it?

I should be able to run more laps on Saturday before work. I'm determined to figure out what in doing wrong with the Huracan. I have a few ideas but it's hard to change the way you drive.

My best results have come from putting the TCS on 1. It will roast the tires on me, coming out of some of those tight turns.

I don't think traction is my issue unfortunately. I have a feeling it might be not slowing down early enough to rotate and or not enough steering input. I typically use very little steering input. Great on tires tho!

Maybe my last comment won't apply to you. I forgot that you use a pedal and I use the X button.

I'm the same - in GT4, I tried to not use the wheel at all. You could in that game, just drive on the throttle. I have to remind myself to turn the wheel more ...

The X button is the worst possible thing to use. Its basically an on/off button isnt it? No idea how you do it lol.
I know, but I'm used to it.

@Pigems that was a pretty good wreck at turn 2, huh? Had to throw away my race because the same dude kept hitting me over and over again. I blasted him into outer space. :mischievous:

First race of the week, I’ll take a CRB at Lagos all day. :)

Nice racing with you again @sturk0167 . There ended up being a huge pileup in front of me at one point and I bumped someone, I wasn’t sure if it was your or not at the time, glad it wasn’t. :)

Im trying C now in the Porsche. :)

@Pigems I don't see you in the line up. My room is all B/S with 2:16 on pole. I guess you're in the A+/S to B/S room. 4/4 on mediums works better, however I got crashed off last race and got 5 seconds for it, double time loss sigh.

One more attempt. So far the 9 pm and 9:30 pm were a dirty mess. Last race I accidentally hit a car while getting pressured from behind. I waited for him to get back up to speed losing 4 positions, bad move. He punted me off 3 times after I passed him cleanly later on. Instead of apologies, reported.

Hopefully the 10pm race has some competent drivers. Oh great, his red S wasn't enough, he's starting 16th (me 20th)

He spun out at the start, no problems. Good race, I managed to break the 2:19 barrier with a 2:18.9 best lap finishing 8th. Better quit while I'm ahead! I got some penalty videos to make for analysis (from the first 2 races, 3rd was incident free finally!)

I wasn’t sure if you were racing tonight or not, I was hoping to see you on that race. What a room eh, and I didn’t even warm up in this car yet, I knew it wasn’t gonna be good before it even started.

I was doing alright until I pitted on lap 4 and forgot to get fuel, so I had to pit again on lap 5. I still gained a few places in the end but it was a very sloppy race on my part and I’d have been DFL by a long shot if not for my good buddy TCS 2. :)

Finally have had some time to do some daily races. First race tonight on B I placed 1st. Some crazy fast qualifying laps in our group @Pigems

Well done man!! I didn’t even realize you were in that first race lol. Sorry about that man.

Here's the big wreck from Pigems' point of view. I'm leading this group, and get rear-ended, knocking me into the guy on my outside, setting off the whole chain of events.

I was just about to load that clip up myself, thanks. I had front row seats to that one  , it was like the seas had parted just for me. :)

Edit: Damm, missed the next Race.

Man this pass felt good. Also a fellow gt planet member was in this race! @Bivittavus88 nice to see you around this time man haha

Very nice move.

Aye, albeit much further back. Did gain six positions, though. Would have been a couple more. But, a German in a Beetle decided he wanted to be exactly where I was. Twice.

My next race was a disaster. Gained a couple of positions through other people's errors, then got wiped out when someone behind me completely missed their braking marker.

No hard feelings though, they stopped a little further up the road, let me pass them, and apologised after the race. Still, 11/17 to 16/17 stung a little.

I like how the speed demons come back to me towards the end of the race. They have no tyres to defend and no fuel to keep up.

That sixth place finish, and my race with @tariklehaine were similar.

Granted, I couldn't keep up with him, or the other top guys in the race. But, a good handful of my gains were from people who decided to go all out. Killing their tyres, and drinking their fuel in the process.

Saw @Groundfish in Brazil, then promptly ran into him. I'm very sorry for that, buddy. You were going wide, so I went to the inside, and you came back. My fault. Great job in that Corvette. I couldn't keep up with you. 👍

I screwed up the left going hot on entry, I saw you coming as we approached the double right and I was thinking if you hit the left perfect you’d come through which is why I stayed right into the uphill right. That mistake led to a screwed up situation. Lol I was trying to keep us from getting swarmed by back markers.
I was so indecisive, bad move by me, but I was worried to cut you off when I was a bit wide before.
Instead I just decided to turn into you when you nailed the entry. Absolutely no worries man.
I thought it was you but couldn’t be sure when I entered the lobby. Almost mentioned your handle in chat.
Lol race before a dadgum Cayman wiped me out completely.
So, I did 2 races tonight and first got taken out, but second was fun.
Sr 99.
Dang people are too fast for me to gain points in a sprint here...Pigems, can you stop by USA and run a qual for me?
Also, the mountains are blue! It’s five o’clock somewhere...

Yeah, sorry, the disaster race was me. As you say, missed braking mark. Had lost focus because I was still seething over having to serve a 4s penalty from another Beetle driver, who tapped me then cut that same chicane on the previous lap.

Safe to say my DR took a battering tonight, I do love this track but I'm just not very good at it :banghead:

I didn’t end up doing any more racing or qualifying tonight, I wound up playing with the LE Andy photo mode instead lol. I spent and hour making this livery...

Just to take this one photo.

I took this one earlier in the evening, it’s my old car, well kinda. Mine was an 87 Turbo II with no spoiler, but it’s as close as I can get in GT Sport. :)

Is it me or it ends up reminding me of @NosOsH's car?

It’s the same as the car in his Profile Pic pretty much, he’s got great taste in cars! :)

Years ago when I had my RX7, I met this girl one day at the park where me and my buddies all hung out all the time. We got to talking for a bit and at one she says to me “ I really like your car, is it a (Dodge) Daytona?”....

Those were the last words we spoke.

I had a top level race at Interlagos from 7th and with the Japanese Lewis-Hamichan44 on pole. His qualifying time is 1:36.985. He was driving a Nissan GT-R. I recorded the race. But I'll learn nothing I reckon.

Lots of mid 1:37 qualifiers there too. The Japanese version of Lewis Hamilton managed to win ... of course he may be 14 years old, so I could be wrong about the Lewis Hamilton thing. I came 5th, and despite a mostly SR S level, they were still crazy in front of me. Luckily I had a gap behind, because I got around the first corner quickly and was able to be sucked along by the fast queue in front, until the two of them just in front of me ran wide at my inconsistent corner 4. Crazy they were. I only gained 300 DR though. Not nice with so many fast drivers there. Maybe I do need to spend some time qualifying ... then again I might of got bumped wide if I'd been amongst those crazy dudes ...

The corner I am terrible at - corner 4 - the weird thing is that I pass people there ... it makes no sense.

Could have at least asked if it was the Shelby. ;)
