3 cars left to retest, yet my first race this evening in A/S was a complete wreck fest. Wth.

Apparently this is fine, dive bomb / bump pass 2 cars, why not. (He already had 3 sec penalty)

Yet for this I get 5 sec penalty...

The next race was dirty as well. I got bumped off by the ever cursing Argentinian. I send some Dutch curse words back at him yet apparently Dutch gets censored lol. Try French next.
There was also something very weird. An A+/S driver (one that's not very clean, bumped me off before) fell to the back and had 10 sec in penalties to serve. Yet at the end of the race he had a blue S. The race where I got 1 5 sec penalty I had a red S...?

Got a decent lap in with the 650S, 2 more cars to go. No qualifying next week, A/S is the worst.

3rd race, disconnected at matchmaking. Beat Sabre then.

After two days with a buggerd up shoulder I was able to have one final throw of the dice at the last chance saloon. I had done some qualy with the rexy, 911 and Herbie. The rexy handled well but I was 2 seconds off the pace I had with the Supra, whatever they have done to the 911 has sucked all the joy out of driving it and now to me it just seems slow and noisy. Herbie I just couldn't click with last night. I went in with the Aston and managed some laps close to my Supra time. Sadly the roll of the dice came up snake eyes for match fixing. P12/16. There were 8 DR/Bs, the rest Cs. I was the only DR/D .

So there I was, waiting to be pulverised by the rest of the grid. The race starts and I somehow manage to get through without getting slammed off . Watching the replay I discovered there was one guy I was initially swapping places with for the first couple of laps. Lap 4 I had pulled a reasonable gap... until I went wide at Surtees and lost time with two wheels off the track. The slow down was enough for him to pass me on Pilgrim's. I stuck to him for the rest of the lap and most of the last lap. Every corner I had to back off because he was slower. It was a little frustrating, but my mistake put him in that position. Finaly, I got a better exit out of Sterling's and had enough of a run to manage this:

The number of actual legit passes that I've made in the few hundred races that I've done can be counted on one hand. I had enough velocity to catch the apex across his bow without making contact Woot! Kudos to him, he raced clean and fair for the whole race . That pass had me finishing P7 with a clean race bonus :D.

SR blue, DR went up about 450. Another day above DR 1 :dopey:.

Testing for next week is done, the new update definitely shook things up a big. NSX and McLaren came out on top!

Nice work. I’ve been practicing with the McLaren and it feels really good even though I don’t know the track.

Take those times which a grain a salt, I was getting better at the track as testing went on, I had to re test a couple cars at the end because they were from the start and way behind. The Lambo was last until the second test. The Corvette could probably do better too with more testing. These were just initial testing numbers, 3-5 laps each until I felt I got a “decent” lap out of it. :)

Edit: Been doing some GoodWood testing in lobbies tonight, good fun so far. But, this dude is waaaaay too high to drive!!

What a view!

I like to get a few runs in on Sunday night before the new races. Maybe its because people are bored of it or testing for next week but I get better starting spots. Race A I ran the Audi q5 p5 then bettered my time for a q2 p2. Unfortunately watched pole get punted bad in turn 1, led the first lap and got passed lap 2 in the last set of turns after really my only slip up. Held close and had to brake hard to not hit him a couple times, but a good battle to the end. Finished .8 maybe9 behind, 4 seconds clear of 3rd. Pole finished 7th or so, red letter so probably caught up. Saved the replay but haven't watched yet. Nice to end the week on a good one.

I finished my comparison for GR.3 on Brands, before and after patch. The after was done with qualifying and more experience so not that surprising that most times are faster. There are some surprises though.

1:25.099 (1:24.505) Ford GT LM Spec II
1:25.562 (1:25.337) Citroen GT
1:25.911 (1:24.826) Dodge Viper SRT
1:25.983 (1:25.073) McLaren BMW

I did another run in the Mustang, Renault and Viper at the end. The Mustang and Renault both improved (better races) yet the Viper really is that bad for me. I practiced 7 minutes in between races, could not get under 1:26 while qualifying and in race it was even worse. I lost 3 SR from all the bumps received from behind. That 1:25.911 was only possible with drafting a faster driver. Rip Dodge Viper.

The MacLaren 650S on the other hand is finally a competitor! I also had a huge improvement in the other bolded cars, all over 1 sec faster per lap. The MacLaren BMW is now nicely at the bottom. Citroen GT is still useless.

Enough of Brands Hatch, again well over a 100 races in a week lol. 596 total races now on that track. Great track. Next time I'll concentrate on one or a few cars instead of swapping every other race, or even every race, to get more out of the car.

Goodwood tomorrow. Don't know yet if I'm going to test GR.4 the same way. It's 15 laps, longer races, no liveries for GR.4, perhaps I'll just stick to a few next week.

It's all right, right, right, right leeeeft, right, right, right, chicane, done.

Just use a 4-door, slap a BTCC livery on it and enjoy! ;)

Omg. That Argentinian went ape ****. Hope the guy didn't have to drive somewhere after that race.
That race you got disconnected a guy thought I was exploiting the penalty system by touching his car and leaving the track so obviously he went on a nasty rant at the chat as well (I don't know why he had to refer to my mom )

Is YouTube messing up for anyone else today? I tried to upload a clip and it’s not working, now I can’t even get the app to load on my phone or tablet to see what going on with it?

Can you explain where to find this overview? I only see the tiny one when entering a track.

Edit: Start
ed 2nd finished 2nd. Blessed the chicane with my left front corner. The leader was the Genesis. It went off at T1. I had lead on it until i lost grip on Lap 4. I pit lap 9 and the Genesis and 86 pit Lap 10. They were fuel conserving with no tyre change. I caught them back up with 3 laps to go.

I caught some grass and was 2 seconds from the 86. The Genesis was dropping back to us. Last lap and I'm on the 86 rear bumper. The Genesis brought out the yellow flags and we both b passed it. Tried to get a run on the 86 out of the chicane. not enough space. Starting from Pole next race.

A pitty they introduce Goodwood with the Gr.4 cars. I'm curious and never drove it before, but with these cars i don't feel very enthousiast. Maybe i give it a go, maybe not. Depends on how much fun there will be @Seaside. Surfplank, suncream and beers are packed to go direction coastline:).

Btw, Brand's was the most fun i had in a long time. I drove 52 races over there. That's a lot 4 me. I had 17 wins and and 39 podiums in total. I really hope PD is going the way with their 'weekly's' like they do right now. Grtz

2nd to 5th. Lost grip and went off. Seems weird like the tyres lose grip and take a couple corners to come back up. Mustang was quick off the line. M4 set FL 2 seconds faster than me.

Race B next. Oh, snap! I'm at S/S! Maybe I should pass on the racing until Wednesday and see how I stack up.

Nah,... I won't qualy for Race B.

DTS is scary. I'm waiting for the "BIG HIT" to knock me back to Gundungaland. I'm twitching each time someone is going off and rejoining in front of me. This LAmbo was too wild. Player couldn't control the car. I hung back, I went to pass safely and the player stays on the gas, I slam my brakes so it gets ahead of me. Then, it finally goes wide at the hairpin, before "the party chicane". I cut tight up the inside and look behind, sure enough, smashes at the chicane. Clear from cars behind and in front, I just cruise to the finish.

Watch out for parked cars!
OVJILOH.gif

Never trust ghosting, should have swerved around.

He quit, which apparently unghosts your car right before disappearing.

Yes, unghosting (even lapped cars) before quitting is horrible. I found out about this at Tokyo with a lapped car. Bye bye podium place.

How can you do that? I never knew James Bond cars were in GTsport :

Two races so far: B and C.

In B with the Vantage: In Lap 1 a Porsche tried to push through at the first chicane after the right kink. He he hit me, he lost it, 5 seconds for me. In Lap four a Beetle tried the same, but this time I was pushed off, no penalty for him.

Then in C: took the F-Type and gradually went from 12th to 3rd without any serious racing. Made my stop, accidentally changed tires as well. I was in 4th when I came back and approached a GT86. I was much faster and wanted to pass on Fordwater. He slowly pushed me off to the left, I spun on the grass for ages and - suprise - got five seconds while he simply drove away.

I checked the replay and even though I have to admit it was narrow (he was driving on the middle of the track) he simply followed his line while I was already at his side.

I came to the conclusion that I will retaliate this week, even If I‘m down to E/E on friday.
