Race A - probably boring, N200 + long straight isn't exactly the best combo :indiff:
Race B - Christmas combo is back and it's a good one, rip SR though
Race C - OMG they added a whole new track without including it in the update notes!

Had the privilege of racing against IOF_Racing (Igor Fraga) at Goodwood earlier this evening:

Qualified 8th, got a good start to bring myself up as high as 6th on the opening lap. Gradually fell away as the race went on, partially as a result of several unforced errors I made. Managed to keep it clean and consistent in the second half to again cross the line in 11th... on an empty tank.

For those interested, Fraga started the race 19th in the GT-R and finished 4th!

Nice to see such a variety of cars on this combo

Well I've finally broken into the 14s... Just  used the Huracan with TC 1 and BB -2
1:14.999 - that is some fine work

I’ve done a few race A’s this week, last night after two races I managed to get to DR.A for the first time. I’m a bit scared to go out on track now.
Congrats! I had the same dilemma a few weeks back. Just screenshot Kudosprime, then carry on enjoying yourself. Sure, your DR may fall as you pick fun races over those good for farming DR, but you know you can get there and if your DR does drop it will come back when a good combo comes up 👍

(I left mine 'til the next day though so the DR peaking in A would always be there )

Strange.

So far if there was some big real life event then PD would give it to us (or something similar). We‘re heading for 24 heures du Mans on 15th and I expected this (i.e. the upcoming week) to be Race C with Group 1 on Circuit des 24 heures (Sarthe). Well, maybe the following week then.

Nürburgring 24h is being held on June 22nd. I‘m not sure if I should count on a GT3-race there then. :(
Both FIA combos are at La Sarthe next Saturday

Didnt have time for race C so just took my first run at B for the week, Hyundai to get used to it now that I'm signed with them. Only had 4 mins to qualify so back of the grid... Climbed 5 places throughout the race, took a very strange sr down and 5s penalty for almost getting speared off the track by a guy rejoining. Had some fun battling with 2 Porsches for most of the race but...

...is it just me that doesn't find this track very fun? The chicane and high speed kinks are alright, I guess, but the hairpins are dead boring. Might just have to stick to Goodwood madness for this week.

It would be nice if there was a kind of reward/memento for climbing through DR ranks. Maybe a decal similar to completing Circuit Experience tracks or at least something to show you've reached X DR rank. I'm surprised that isn't a thing.

I enjoy seaside but apparently nobody knows how to brake on that track. Ive been divebombed so many times that i want to go full nuclear and take no prisoners in my next race but then i end up just racing more assholes..

Race C attempt 3 - started 7th, got shoved off on the first corner, worked up from 16th to 1st by letting everyone else kill each other, then got punted by the Huracan in 2nd at the chicane and handed a 2s penalty. Still ended up 4th after dipping to 10th post-penalty. I stand by the 86 being my favourite on this track.

Yeah I saw some crazy moves being made. 3 Wide into first chicane on lap 2, I was in the middle and backed out. One guy ate wall and the other ran too wide. I know it's not my best track so I'm leaving plenty of room and not passing aggressively. Guys are way too eager out here.

nice GIF, love that show.

What are peoples tips to break into the 1:14s for Goodwood?

I'm on a controller, and the best I've done was a 1:15.015 with the TT Cup, but it was one of those laps I haven't been able to replicate because things just came together.

It says my optimum is a 1:14.7 but i cannot get it at all.

I use ABS default, manual gears, no traction and I think I have the brake bias at +2

I've done low 1:15s with the lambo and 458 too, but when I race my issue with those two is that the fuel is bad & if someone is close with a TT, they pretty much win in the pit stops.

When I use the Audi though, I cannot for the life of me get a perfect start like I can with the 458/Lambo... I always lose 2 or 3 places at the start with the TT, and also gain a place or hold position with the other two.

So unless there's a good middle man car, that also is a good qualifier, then idk.

Maybe a dumb question since I've been playing this since a little after launch... where do you find your optimum time? Feeling incompetent haha

Also, finally back to SR S! Yaaaay!

When you do qualifying, if you pressthe direction buttons left or right until you have the times menu up, and then press down on the d-pad so it says car record, I think it shows you the optimum time from laps you've done in that vehicle.

basically if you do qually for at least a few laps, it starts piecing together your best sectors.

Tried a Mini Race. And got targeted. I think it might have been a case of mistaken Canadian.

QT 106.953. 5th spot to start. Kind of a crazy race, was up to 3rd at one point and down to 7th. Noticed a bit of bumping between 2 cars in front, tried to stay clear and passed when I got the chance. After that one of the cars made an extra effort to bump me off. Same car, same lap in the penalty zone tried to sandwiched me in to the wall as I passed, I almost spun out of control. That car quit right after I passed them. I finished 6th. Clean race otherwise. I checked the drivers' stats and they were reset. Still, WTH? combed over the replay and I'm pretty sure it wasn't me they were trying to get revenge on but another Canadian, which I was watching from behind I didn't see anything worth getting that mad over.

Ooh next weeks races are up!

Race A - Fuji Short - 5 Laps - N200 provided car
Race B - Mount Panorama - 3 laps - Gr.4
Race C - drumroll please .......... Alsace Village II - 11 Laps - Gr.2

Very pleased to see someone remembered Alsace was in the game. A little surprised it's Gr.2 though but I'll happily take it!
One of the FIA events are Gr.2 at Bathurst! Maybe we'll see that in a few weeks time.

3 laps? I guess I'm spending more time on liveries for GR.4 than actually driving. Alsace to restore SR I guess. Odd choice GR.2 for that track and reverse. Standing start as well? Rush for that silly chicane to start with?

Lol at 3 laps at Mt. Doom. I will, never understand why so few laps in race B. Luckily I don't like that track.
Oh and people trying to pass at the chicane in Goodwood...SMH. Definitely common sense is not that common.

Had few laps at alsace with gr2 nsx. Tryed the cockpit view, and it seems that the FOV is changed???
Anyone else noticed?
Changed for better for sure. Had a blast.
Or am I just imagining things again??

We should be racing in these instead:

At first glance I thought the guy on the blue mower was holding a beer in his right hand.

It also shows you the actual times of those sectors and your optimal at the end of a Q session at the bottom of the screen that shows all your laps times, or if you click on “session results” at the top of the race menu after you exit a session the same screen can be seen again. :)

I’m hoping it’s at night again on the Mountain. :)

Gr2 on Alsace II will be interesting, I just got familiar with that layout last week in the WRS Time Trial in an Audi R8, Gr2 is gonna feel like a rocket ship after driving that car there. :D

Lexus RC F

I was driving the SLS and managed a flat 15.

1st lap in the RC F I snuck into the 14s. Did a 14.7 within 30 mins of the switch with potential to shave 2-3/10s more.

Someone said it earlier. Brake early, even earlier than you think (slow in fast out).

Been driving a fair amount of gr 2 at nordschleife with my brother (super casually)... It may be placebo but I've found it easier since 1.39. Downforce seems much more apparent. Actually own all 3 (viable) cars now so high hopes for this one :)

I love Dragon Trails Seaside. In fact, I love both Dragon Trails. Just nice high speed racing and a lot of places to overtake.

Race C next week, Alsace - Village II in Gr. 2. Potentially a lot of fun.

That's a very interesting combo. That first turn could be a disaster. Then again, what first turn ISN'T a disaster in Sport mode?

I agree it's a nice wide course that keeps its nose out of the racing. I just hate those kind of hairpins that tighten up late. My rally instincts are always itching to slide them or cut the hell out of the latter half, but that's beyond slow, obviously. I think both courses reward a really quick, line-disciplined driving style. So yeah, good tracks but not for me, I guess. Definitely missing something as I'm abysmally slow around either layout.

Uhhhhhhh... Tsukuba is usually ok? :p

Well, get your Megane and TT liveries ready for Bathurst. Or you won't be able to pick out your car in the replays.
Me? Go FWD? On a course with downhill twisties?

I would rather be smiling in 16th than bored in 1st. See you in the walls, boys.

That said I typically dread the mountain but did the gr 3 league endurance race there earlier as part of my Hyundai training and actually managed all 25 laps without eating **** up the mountain. Slightly less scared of it now.

Probably just gonna bring the Genesis, Bathurst has a bit of everything so a good litmus test for how she's gonna stack up.

EDIT: @Pigems forgot to share this, she's ready to represent that primo hemp paper;

Spent most of my day off at Dragon Trails as I have barely played this week. Started off great in the AMG with a fair few top 5 finishes and plenty of clean races - I think I've nailed it!!!
Then I hit SR S.
The dirtiest race in weeks. Dive bombed on multiple corners, brake checked and outright rammed off the track. SR S lasted one race. The times of the first few drivers are similar in the SR S and SR B rooms I've been in, but SR B is so much more fun.
On the plus side Bathhurst next week - should destroy my SR whatever room I'm in - possibly my favourite track
