Oh that's a given. But I think you still get an idea of what will be 'quick', don't you? I figured it was all relative?

Or is it a complete lottery? Are cars that were slow in outside testing now rapid compared the vice-versa?

I’d say you’re right, any difference should in theory be relative to each car. So if the lobby is 1s faster, it’s should be so for each car. I can’t confirm this for sure though. I’m still at work for a couple more hours, I’ll re test some cars when I. Get home in the Daily TT/Q to see what differences there are.

Got to report that willow was good, even for a Monday. Lots of similarities with Brands. Speed to be had, places to be had mainly by being cool, smooth, and not crashing. Lost off track due to avoiding a spinning car, went from 3 to 12. 2 laps later of cool driving and no crashes I was back to 5th. Still some places for passing and SR worked it's way forward the right way, while racing. Had a great clean 3 lap battle going for 4th at one point till I just touched the left rear on the gravel at the exit of the last turn and tried to correct instead of driving through it. Weeeeeee spins. Still got 7th. Spent my time in the WRX. Supra looks fast but super unstable, saw most of those going sideways. Only seem to pull out a 19.1 qualy but can get 18's in the race and beat people with 16 and 17 q times since the supra likes dancing off the road. Found my home for the week

My first experience was similar. i've already joined the 86 dark side, done a 01:17.462 in Q which meant a started 8th in my A+/A lobby. I gained a couple of places through attrition up top and one genuine over take down the home straight in slip steam. Clean race too! one thing is clear is that I'll need a better Q time if I want to gain any wins in prime time.

For me, the three I qualified with this morning were about .5 - .6 faster than lobby. Fastest today for all three of them were within .054 of each other. So I'm still not sure which to use.

This afternoon was good for me, 5 wins, and 3 2nd places.

I was in that race :)

It was my first attempt at Race B and I was a couple of positions behind you for the entire race. I was quietly chuckling to myself about others off track excursions and how cool I was being. Then on the last corner of the last lap I go wide and slide about 100 miles into the desert. Finished plum last :grumpy:

Just dont get enough time to play much anymore, what with the wife wanting to netflix and or clean the house let alone all the golfing opportunities abound this season.

You and I are living, literally the same life. In fact, on Sunday morning, while doing Race B practicing with @sturk0167 and @Pigems , my wife decided that during lap 2 would be a great time for her to say "I need to move this rug."

Allow me to clarify. The times I put up a couple of days ago were in Time Trial mode. The cars I drove in qualifying this morning felt about like they did in Time Trial mode, only a bit quicker. Me and @Pigems did a ton of practice laps in a lobby yesterday, and every car was a lot slower. I'm 100% sure that there is something that's different, but in a good way. :)

Maybe the physics change hasn't been applied to lobby racing. Don't know what it is. I believe Pigems will confirm that there's a difference when he gets home from work.

I'm not only convinced there is a difference between TT mode and qualifying, but there is a difference between Qualifying and racing sometimes. Qualifying, some cars just feel like they have grip, but the moment the race starts, it's like being on Ice skates.

Anyone got a rough idea of Maggiore strategy? Is fuel saving in the old Group C cars workable?

I'm thinking the Nissan would look rather nice with a Mariner Jack livery . .

Win farming is the tactic of tanking Dr and Sr in order to get matched with beginners and less talented drivers.
It's often deployed by drivers who can't deal with competition from drivers that are at their level.

1. Tank your Dr and Sr
2. Get matched with low level players
3. Rake in easy wins
4. When you've leveled back up repeat step 1

Looking at your Dr/Sr graphs and considering your K' speed score of 68.64 I'm guessing this isn't a completely new concept for you.

Evidence of win farming. Is that correct?

i miss group 3 already :(

i suck at willow. that track doesn't flow for me.

I'm biased, as this is a local track for me, physically... only the down hill section has two odd turns that don't flow well, otherwise, I think it flows very well.

Great...the one time in literally months that there's a "Daily" race that I REALLY want to do (Karts), I'm going to be out of town for most of the week...🤬

There'd better be an oval on next week's schedule.

18.5xx in the Jag was good enough for Pole Position in my first race around Big Willy.

I even led for the whole first lap!!

Got drafted into T1 on Lap2 by two Caymans and then forgot to calculate for lack of down force around T2...

P1 > P9

Smarts a bit that one. Just have to do it again won't we!

Odd... I would think what Vegard described would only pad win stats, because once you have beat the B and low A drivers... to push further up (45,000+ DR) you'll need to beat quality drivers. I'd call that stat farming, but in no way would that help you go higher than your skill allows for DR.

I'm calling it a day now
So much for that.

Didn't want to end on a P8 so, despite my fears of dropping back below 60k DR, I queued up for one last race C after improving my Q time to 1:36.090 in the R18. I qualified 3rd and ran a nice, clean race to come home 3rd in the TS050, and with Derek737 and Cubertom in front of me I think that's about the best I could have done :dopey:

So, calling it quits for vacation (for real this time) at a new peak of 61210. I'm not going to enjoy the competition next time I enter FIA

So this isn't a no stop race?
A 919 and R18 tried it in my first race with the 962, but I passed both with 2 laps to go. It was better in RS than the Jag and C9, but I'd lose out to the awd acceleration of the hybrids.

I'll try the 787B in a next race.

One unpopular car I had great results in the FIA race at Maggiore, was the Peugeot 908. Very fast, excellent handling and good economy. Maybe someone can try that. I'm sticking with the classic cars.

I saw you using the Jag, I could stay on track for more than a lap in it, seemed fast though. Tried out the Ferrari and it suited me more. Still couldn’t get a lot of speed out of it though. I think I’m around 18.5 with you.

AFFIRM ME!!!!!!!! :lol::lol:

Did I save the replay? Of course not! :dunce:
Congratulations on your first W! Here's to many more!

Race C is a one stopper in the R18. I used the Toyota because it doesn't have to fuel save, but it's slightly slower. To each his own. The no stop looked dominant in the afternoon but the tire wear seems to be too high at the end of the race.

I'm thinking someone's got a new favorite track.

So, what’s the best race to repair my stats after “the disaster at Sardegna C”? My SR went below the reset point of 30 and my DR went from A to B :( then the supra Lobby on Saturday didn’t go any better :( :(
