I would like to see them enforce a mandatory stop. Not by insisting on a pit stop but by insisting that at least two tires compounds are used in the race for at least one timed lap (this means out-lap then timed lap. Cant pit on first or last lap). In addition, allow the driver to select fuel at start - either litres or laps. Tire wear and fuel multiplier no more than X3, enough laps for 18 to 20 minute races in race C and 28 to 30 minutes for FIA.

Yeah I agree about the mandatory pit stop. That would be another quick solution that would work. In fact they have it at live events so would be good to see in the game.
And don't get me started on fuel! I've just spent 20 minutes working out how many laps of fuel burning I need to do at Brands Hatch so I can get 2 flying laps in having burnt off as much fuel as possible first. It's the most ridiculous aspect of FIA qualifying and its a crying shame. Let us choose our starting fuel please

Finally landed myself in a lobby with @GOTMAXPOWER - and i thought.. here we go, this will test me against the big boys.... NETWORK DISCONNECT!! It was 1.30am by that time and i called it a night.
Overall gain of about 1000DR on the night and i think a little better preparation and decide on a car and strategy will give me a good chance of getting to DR.A this week
Only 9 of us made it into that race, thanks for reminding me! I had a 4 second lead with 2 laps left and crashed under no pressure and finished 2nd.

Hopefully we get an actual race next time.

The Dragon was fun last night! I started 17th and then in the first chicane missed the braking and was in 18th.. BUT... I ended up doing my biggest advance in the game so far - 11 positions - :gtpflag:
In one of the earlier games that day I did the amazing pass in the last turn that is highlighted below. Look at it and tell me Im awesome
As I came into it three wide I was thinking I would pull out of it, but I realized that the line of the left driver would have him understeer so I took a chance ..

It's not THAT bad on tyres. Is it? At least, I don't remember it being terrible. It's been a while, though. So I may very well be wrong.

You have to remember that every time they do an update, they 🤬 everything up, so everything you thought you knew about a car has all been screwed.

Look at it and tell me Im awesome

Every time I see your PSN my fragile little mind reads is as "Whore in Texas".

...and here's me thinking damn, he's going to think i've bottled out and quit before the start!

Were you in the F-Type no stop? can't remember.

Takes a lot more energy to ride a motorcycle around a track fast than it does a car. Plus the added danger of not having a cage around you may have something to do with it. That and all of us motorcycle guys are not wired the same as everyone else. I have never been around the 4 wheel scene though, but I’m sure there have been a few fat lips and black eyes in that discipline also.
Surely, this guy earned himself a beating. :ouch:

Yes, I think 0 stops is quicker once you know how to work the fuel. There were 2 other 1 stopping Jags at the front to play with and the Lexus no stopper which ended up winning.

Ever since the earlier Nations N500 race at Kyoto, I've been thinking that a mandatory stop should be put into longer Sport Mode races with higher tyre/fuel multipliers. It doesn't have to require the use of multiple tyre compounds, but it seems like the most realistic and sensible way of preventing one-stoppers from being put at an instant disadvantage against no-stoppers. Either that, or set the multipliers lower in future seasons so that everyone can race at a consistent and competitive speed.

Welcome to hell, I present the results of my only 2 races today. Didn't know how to report an absolute psycho tonight so going to have to see what I can do. I at least have the video. Spent a race trying to learn Manual (after some practice) and we can say it didn't go well.
first picture is after race 1 second is after race 2. Sorry for the picture spam, couldn't figure out screen shot to save only a small bit. I seriously have no words for the crap that went on in those races. Have a video I'm uploading but will take a while.
Ok, never mind, editing to remove faulty screenshots. Went from SR 82 to 51 in 1 race. Haven't been that low since first 20 or so races while I figured out penalty system. Next race had a few incidents, but had many clean laps in between, still dropped SR to 47. I'm fuming. Deliberate punts, multiple times a lap, penalty system manipulation to destroy me. I don't know what the hell now.

If you want to report a player you click on his name in the result list after the race, a small menu pops up that allows you to make certain choices, follow, report, view profile etc etc

Yesterday I reported a player for the first time. I planned a quiet race at Gr 3. Race B, to improve SR, but some douche on a Supra kept bumping at me, just to take me off track and two corners ahead going off track alone by himself, just to get again on my back, three or four different occasions during the race. Finished 3 places behind me, but my SR dropped 20 points, just as i received notifications of SR drop every time I was put off track. He took some penalties but it cost me about 18-20 seconds on a 4 lap races.

At last, my first podium of the week, at the 5th time of trying on Race C! :D

Went flat out from the start from 4th (new qualy time of 1:46.1), pitted on lap 5 for fuel and tyres...Came out 16th, and just drove flat out until the end, passing an Audi on the last lap for 3rd place.

I was 21 secs behind the leader at the end, so obviously non stopping is the way to go, but it's boring trundling around to me, I prefer to go flat out, and see what happens, more fun that way, and a chance to use some race craft with overtaking, too! ;)

There needs to be a new etiquette video about racing room. Players seriously can't cope with being overtaken. I mean, you are conserving, of course I'm gaining because, I've got 5 lap fresher tyres and more fuel to burn!!!

The wife works until 11pm tonight, so I’ll have lots of free free time this evening, the second “free” implies that it’s free time that doesn’t need to be payed back.

Gonna try a few Race C’s I think. Is the Lambo is no good for fuel? Are one stops getting more popular yet or is the no stop still the de facto strategy?

it's a real mixed bag for me.. if you watch Kie's video he does no stop in the Jag and performs really well and that for me would be the way to go, but i just couldn't get anywhere near the performance. Failing that, i think the Huracan going balls out with 1 stop is the way 👍 (or NSX is pretty good i heard, but not tried that yet).

I'm going to try a one stop, on Sarah's account. I'll still fuel save, but not as aggressively. Tyres seem perfectly fine for race distance, so I'll try the Porsche, shift midway on the bar, splash and dash end of lap 5.

Just did the 86. Tyre wear is non-existent( very minor). It ain't the fastest, but it's quick through the esses. I've had a fast NSX user in my races. pits early and goes full speed to the end.

I keep getting mixed up in everyone else's problems. There was about 8 cars conserving at one point. Extreme traffic jam and I had to pit early from that mess. It's really no fun like that. I can understand in real sprint racing, driver has to watch fuel and tyres, but c'mon. There's a "Mandatory" pit option, that PD need to engage.

That's what I've been doing too with good results. I don't really want to bother with fuel management or slippery tires on this one- it's been enjoyable to just blast through. I usually pit after lap 6, but I think tonight I'm going to try pitting earlier.
