So it turns out we’re getting SPA after all.![]()
That would be nice, but where is the confirmation? I think no one knows yet.So it turns out we’re getting SPA after all.![]()

It’s in the other thread about the live event. There is also an article on the main page, it showed SPA being used at the live event.

After a disastrous race c with @Bivittavus88 last night, you always think ‘right, this time I’m not gonna get into any trouble’.....

Were you h
were you hit or did you lose the rear end?
You're really not having much luck with that corner, are you?

Yeah I hate the first lap. People don’t take it easy. The race is long.
What I'm mostly looking forward to is the Honda S2000. 👍It’s in the other thread about the live event. There is also an article on the main page, it showed SPA being used at the live event.

Alfa and 86 will lose way too much time down the long straights.
I honestly wish they'd bring in the two tyre option for Race Cs
I can't even put into words how infuriatingly boring it is when you go into Race C and the best strategy is a no-stop, therefore you get all the try hards doing no-stops.
It just completely zaps the fun out of the race immediately because you're only left with about 3 people to actually race with throughout the race.
There's no doubt stopping for tyres/fuel is the most fun way to play, because it enables you to be far more racey at all stages of the GP except for the stop itself.
There's a reason F1 changed up the rules to force pit stops, because the majority of fans were getting bored as hell with no stops...
why can't GT just give us the option of two tyre compounds each week? Maybe mediums & softs (assuming that mediums would do a full race distancebut at a slower pace) .
Not only would it introduce better strategies that don't necessarily disadvantage people that want to stop, but it'd also bring a bit of balance for controller users, seen as the tyre wear for controller users is drastically worse than it is for wheel users.
Odds of Gr.3 at Spa being Race C for the first week of September?
With rain, a bloody downpour, hopefully!![]()

I basically agree with what you are saying, but is running what works out to be the fastest strategy being a try hard? If the faster strategy was to do a pit stop, would everyone who pitted be a try hard?
Like I said, I basically agree and I also would hope that either strategy would work out competitive so that you see a mix of strategies, but calling people try hards for using the fastest strategy grates on me! And yes that's because I've been no-stopping all week, and it's worked out very well for me![]()
I don't see rain coming to sport mode, to be honest. It's so much more for the PS4 to process, graphically. I think rain is going to be limited to the Time Trials.
True, but at the previous GTS event at Nords in June, weren't there races at Red Bull Ring in the wet?.......Fingers crossed we can race somewhere in the wet stuff, maybe limited to the "Race As", only 12 cars run in that normally, so not so much for the old PS4 lady to process.
"Cars don't have quickshifters. So, has to be a clutch. I'll just lift, and shift."
The problem is when doing races no-stop is the only way to go, week after week, track-car combo after track-car combo. You have to strike a balance where people who like to micromanage tyre comsumption are as competitive as the people going for stops. And you simply can't do this with races that lasts for 25min, because whoever decides to go for stops simply won't have enough time to catch up, or widen a gap.
True. But, they'll be using the highest spec PS4 available. Game updates have to cater to people with the lowest spec consoles (that'll be me). I've no doubt that the higher spec consoles could run the rain pretty smoothly. But, I think it would kill mine
That said, they managed it on older consoles. So, who knows . .
My Camaro has an A/M trans with paddle shifters. I use AT mostly around town, but the MT is great for passing on the interstate and the occasional need for speed on the street. Which I would never do.The CPU does the work for you and won't let you downshift if you going to fast. GTS left out that crutch, so yeah brake first.
And, that reminds me. After nearly 14 years of driving, I drove ve my first ever auto, next week. Well, DSG. But its basically the same. Auntie's new boyfriend says I can take his Stage 2 Golf R for a blast.
