Thanks, I’ve got nothin on this chick though.

I tried the R8, which I usually enjoy. But I couldn’t come to terms with it on this track for some reason and ended up going back to the AMG. Shaved off another 4 tenths to a 21.9 now. There’s still some fudge in that lap but I think the AMG will be my car for the week, it’s just so stable. Might try a few other FR cars too. :)

Looks like a nice, fast, flowing layout. I think I'll enjoy this one.

The cones are HUGE!! No wonder they launch cars.

I honestly never noticed that before, Wow!

You do tend to enjoy Fuji, add in this car and it’s a really fun combo.

Edit: Duh, wrong video lol. Yes, Sardegna has a nice flow to it for sure once you get a feel for it. It’s also a fun combo. :)

@watto79 Yup, Porsche it is, down to a 21.5 now. I think it’s geared better for this for this track and allows you to be in the power band more often and in the right places on the track. I think I can get this car to go Sub 21 on a solid lap. :)

I just don't like that people use one account to be dirtier or whatever which falsely keeps their other accounts higher rated. If you want to use one for another region I'm ok with that but I think the ratings should be averaged for the profile rather than one dirty one clean one supergood FIA etc... get over yourselves or "git gudder" to keep your account at top R.

When you can just make another one the ratings mean NOTHING.

Others have already chimed in, but since this is somewhat of an attack on people who hold multiple accounts....here I am too.

Just because somebody has multiple accounts, it doesn't mean that they are doing it to be intentionally dirty, or to behave any differently than they would on their main account. In fact, I feel like MOST people who have a 2nd account are pretty clean drivers in general who have achieved either A/S or A+/S on their main accounts. Most of the time, what separates so-called "dirty" drivers from clean drivers is skill and the ability to control their car, not necessarily people being intentionally dirty. In addition, slow drivers often think fast drivers are dirty for outbraking them or putting their cars alongside of them when they didn't expect it, and fast drivers often accuse slower drivers of being dirty because of braking too early or cornering too slow, or simply losing control and making contact.

Personally, I created a 2nd account for a few reasons. One was to teach myself how to drive the right way, using manual transmission and no TCS....which I hadn't done on my main account and still achieved 65K DR. I could have raced that way on my main account, but at the time I was only participating in FIA races, which means I have no choice but to be in the top split lobby. Should I have entered those lobbies with the 20 best guys in my region at the time, and drove around like a pleb, possibly messing up the races of these guys who were 3-4 seconds faster than me? Maybe I should have, but I sure didn't want to do that. It would have been embarassing, but also would have taken a spot away from somebody else who wanted to be there and could have performed better.

Second reason for an alternate account is for no-qualy racing. I practice and qualify on my main account, hoping for wins and podiums, and use the alternate for fun racing and good replays, practice overtaking, etc. As someone said before, this is mainly for improvement, but also fun. Fighting my way through a pack is not something that happens often when I qualify on my main account. I have fights with the same few A+ drivers who run daily races all the time, and we usually break away from the rest of the pack on the first lap. There are many times when I am the only one, start on pole or podium, and then we basically just run a few laps alone until the race is over. If I were to run no-qualy races on my main account, my DR would be so low that when I entered FIA races I would be matched with low and mid A/S drivers instead of high A & A+, then I would dominate those races and people would complain that I was sandbagging to get wins and FIA points....like some already do.

So the problem here is that the matchmaking is different in FIA compared to dailies, because so few A+ drivers participate in dailies anymore. For me, it has nothing to do with ego, and when my DR is high enough to sacrifice some points and still stay at a level that puts me in the top split FIA lobbies, I run no-qualy on my main account too, as I did last week. If you were to check the stats on both of my accounts, you'll see that my SR stays in the "S" range for the most part....with some small exceptions here and there, but that is happening less and less lately, since I'm improving. The only major difference is that my DR is significantly lower on my 2nd account because of all the races starting in the back. For reference, my 2nd account is ash_o_333. Was very near a DR reset last week, and that was because I decided to sacrifice some SR in order to punt a very dirty driver I encountered, twice. I would have done that on my main or alternate, no hiding here. In fact, I even plan to change my greeting on the 2nd account to say what my main name is, just haven't remembered to do that yet.

So, to counter what you said about a 2nd account rendering ratings useless....I'll go ahead and say they are useless anyway, except for the points I mentioned about FIA matchmaking. If you're not going to make it to a live event, what's the point of caring other than having fun races with people that are of a similar skill level? Matchmaking is what keeps most of us coming back to sport mode, so I'm ok with wanting to preserve the best part of the game for my main account, and you really should be too because it affects you in literally zero ways. If somebody is going to be dirty, they are going to be dirty, no matter the account. There may be a few exceptions, but the number of people creating 2nd accounts just to be anonymously dirty has got to be minimal.

Kind of feels like we're all dumping on you. Not my intention. You bring up a good point that I thought required a serious answer.

This week should be a good one hopefully as daily race C is a combo that I like with the downforce cars of group 2. Had 2 2nd places already with the 2nd in a predominantly A ranked lobby with me only being at the top of B. Only a couple of hundred points of an A rank now though. NSX is best for qualifying but GT-R and RC-F should be better in the race with the tyre wear.

I need to test for Race B, haven’t done that track yet.

Spent a little time improving my rig the last few days. Have an old playseat and it just wasn’t cutting it. So a trip to Lowe’s was in order for bracing. Then I dove into FOV reading and raised my rig up. I didn’t have a real way to do it since my tv is too high up. So I got creative and used two d subwoofers and a box to raise my height

Made a box around the pedals to remove the dreaded brake flex that the playseat and similar trays suffer when using a load cell. I also secured the steering column to the new brake box so that the wheel/brake are both significantly more solid. Went from lots of brake/wheel movement which made it very hard to be consistent, to now a rock solid setup.

Also managed to break my brake pedal a few weeks back. Lots of zip ties and improvising as you can see works though. Really helped to improve lap times, and the proper FOV is huge, made a big difference in immersion and consistency at Interlagos.

Race A with the Corolla Bros at Fuji was mostly okay. Would’ve been better as a 4-lap event, though. Also, I appreciate being able to race these cars at a much higher HP bracket, but all of the added weight kills the fun. It’s an N200 up-tune, but still feels like I’m driving at N100 thanks to the added fat. A more modest increase to the weight would’ve been better.

Had 3 races with the Peug VGT (1.21.8xx). First one I got massively t-boned. Second was ok and third I had an absolute great fight with a Porsche in which the English Gentleman came out as winner.

Had a morning race at Fuji. QT 2:04.667. Started 2nd. Held 2nd. No bonus. But +800 DR. Nice.

I agree that Race A is 1 lap too long. And it's just weird having 2 of the same car as a "choice". I don't think anyone would have complained (or noticed) if it was just the newer Trueno.

Did around 10 practice laps on my own. Then 10 with ghost of @Pigems. Never noticed the option to adjust the lead of the ghost before. Is that new?

I only did one race and not a single soul picked a Levin.

Race B is pretty fun, not a bad result considering this happened on lap 2. I guess you get penalized for avoiding collisions now too.

These will make for some interesting races today, gonna go Live for the next couple at least. Got demoted to SR B in that last one so the next few should be great fun! :D

Daily C qualy. Long time since last drove at autopolis.
Say what you say, but the physics are not the same anymore. Much better on how the grip turns to slide.
FFB feels better, well this was changed whe the last update was here.
Only thing that I would change, is the front grip. Way too understeer to my taste.
Also there is some ASM or CSA always on, you can really push that NSX hard with out fear of losing control.

1:36.3 BB-2 (chase cam starts 1:48)

Had an interesting Race C.
These Gr2 on RM really can't cope well only pitting once. It's also clear that a lot of my competitors still thought 6 laps in on worn tyres they could still drive like it was lap 1, sliding everywhere and taking everyone off. I got took out at the first corner twice, had someone slide into me as I entered the pit lane, and had someone in front lose control into a spin on the apex, with me having no choice but to hit them (handing me a 3s penalty).
Gained 30 DR somehow, but lost 4 SR. Still trying to rise from SR A to S again but this week's races look impossible to gain SR from.

Edit**
Did another Race C. I started 8th, was immediately punted off on the first corner and I got an SR down for it. Sent down to 17th. Then on the last corner of the first lap, the car in front of me lost control into a spin as I was passing on the outside and slammed me into the distance, and I got a 5s penalty for it which meant I was in last place, the next driver was 8s ahead. Incident-free (for me) remainder of the race, worked my way back up to 6th. Sent down to SR B - the game got its wish on its desperate crusade to demote my SR no matter what I do.

That last race was brutal, got run off the road twice. I did make a flying pass at one point though. Gonna try a few Race A’s now, see if that goes any better. :)

Another great race with a South African guy called 'ShortShift'. He was on my tail and got better out of the first righthander and passed me. Could keep up and in the last corner before the straight he left a gap and braked early, went to the inside but he closed the door. Fair move! Bumped his bumper a bit and came slowly out of the corner. Got overtaken by a guy who watched the battle first rank. South African guy First, First Seater second an me third.

I am in B lobbies which mostly had some great racing. Also nice if people take a bit of time to have a nice chat afterwards

Race A is much more my style, got run off twice and still made it to the podium. :)

Edit: Round 2, Slightly faster room this time. Had a decent battle going with the guy in first but I tried to go around the outside in T1/L5 and he bumped me wide and got a 5’er for it. So I just hung back behind him the rest of the way until he had to serve on the final straight. :)

I was up to second in this one but I got spun around trying to go round the outside in T1 again. I should probably stop trying that, was knocked all the way back to 8th that time. :)
