9 pm room was the dirtiest yet. Top SR.S split... I managed to escape any BS penalties but got murdered by a Brazilian trying to overtake another car in the high speed right after the bridge while I was behind them. I took an inside line sensing trouble but of course with laggy physics he bounced off so hard from the car he ground into the wall to catapult me around into the inside wall, spun around, stopped dead, from 13th back to 20th, over 3 seconds behind the field. I finished 12th in the end so basically passed 15 people in that race :)

The tally for this fine SR.S room, 3 neutral, 11 red S, 1 red A and one quit. That leaves 4 blue ratings including me. SR +6 back at 99 yet still not a single clean race bonus this week. There's always someone who has to tap my bumper expecting me to drive through the car in front of me or not brake for a corner. At least it's always exciting to the finish, good or bad.

I was watching that race lol. I was watching Judoka and vvise's stream of that race and saw you in it.

Really good start to tonight's races. (1 race around RBR)

I survived Tokyo Expressway. :nervous:

QT 2:10. 568. Started 8th. Finished 13th. 3 penalties for being hit. But hit many other times without, could have been worse. -10 SR in the end.

Just wanted 1 race to prove I could race(survive) there this week. Glad to escape with minimal damage. :D

Here's a prime example of R4M in action (despite Super GT using his F4H account):

Well that clears it up, this exact thing happened to me out of the final corner at the RBR. We went 2 wide into the final corner, I had both left tires on the curb and right tires on the grass, mustang cut down bounced off my car and crossed over the curbs on the exit and somehow I end up with the penalty. I’m not sure how I’m suppose to avoid that, I literally have no where else to go.

It was nice to finally get a chance to race with you tonight man.

Likewise. I showed you guys that I'm a force to be reckoned with.....for about half a lap. Afterward, I took a spin around Thunderdome. Three races & tons of carnage. I made a miscalculation in the second race. I overdrove turn 1 & ran wide with a Ford GT to my inside. When I tried to rejoin, I thought I was going to fall right in line behind him. Apparently, the nose of the Viper is longer than I thought. I caught him in the left rear quarter & spun him right into the outside wall. Next race, a car was recovering from a spin & I was going to pass. He pulled right into the racing line going much slower & the inevitable happened. A 2 second penalty there. But overall, I finished higher than my door number in all 3. SR dropped briefly to C, but was back to B before I quit for the night.

Faaaaaaa...

It baffles me how some players think the fast death chicane in Tokyo Expressway is a suitable place to overtake. It's not the first time it happened to me, but it still feels very sour to get pushed into the wall out of nowhere and get 5 sec of penalty for someone else's boneheaded move.

Seriously, Tokyo Expressway can only be either a really good, fast race, or a SR graveyard. And it's a shame because I did have 2 very good race tonight, including an amazing, very clean battle.

I was goofing off in these lobbies starting from the back in random cars driving cockpit view and heard many warnings about dirty racing etc. Somehow didn't have a single issue in 4-5 races. Saw plenty of drivers having incidents though. I think people just have to adjust expectations that you can't take some laps at the pace you could if there wasn't traffic.

I made a naaaaasty Danny Ric into the final hairpin on the final lap in one of the races, squeezed out 2 drivers lol. Blue S. Come at me XD.

You gotta hang out with us here on this thread more often. We have free cookies  and would love to hear your war stories adventures from the Daily Races!

my god... one of my best races ever last night in race C. After watching the epic @Pigems movie i took my new learned skills into qualy and reduced from a mid 2:09 to a 2:08.3xx (Ricky_Stain account) - started P2 and it ended up after lap 1 with 3 of us absolutely nose to tail for the whole race. We swapped the lead every lap and it was as clean as a whistle. I was actually shouting out loud (in an empty room) to congratulate the other 2 guys for their clean racing - all of us in the same mindset to not ruin the race for each other..... coming into the long straight at the end of lap 6 and i'm in 3rd, i got the slip and eased past the other 2 into 1st.. but no... i didn't want to be in 1st for the last lap so i took the left side approaching T1 and P2 took the inside..perfect. I sat behind him thinking i'll have him on the last straight...... NOOOOOOOO.... i tapped him from behind going into the first chicane under the bridge and we both got 5 sec pens!!! P3 took the lead and went on to win while us 2 took P4 and P5... i was gutted that i'd ruined the race at the last hurdle as it would have been an epic finish... if only!!
I saved the race but how do you send that to youtube? I'm only used to sending replays with the share button?!?

Thursday so jumped on Race C for two races. Started on pole and thinking that could be a bad thing I deliberately had a slow start to try and get a tow up to T1. Went in 2nd, lost around 1.8s to the leader with a shoddy lap but nothing uncatchable and we're pretty closely matched. So down the S/F, 3rd place is gaining on me and I'm just thinking "pick a side, go past, and we'll drag ourselves back up to the leader". He had other ideas. This is most of lap 2, and you'll see what his plans were.

The cam is from his car

These were the only bits of contact I had with anything in the race, and I got a red 'S' at the end while he got a blue despite picking up other pens during the race!

The second race, I won from pole and beat the guy who won the first :D

Can imagine the tears!!

I linked my PS4 to my googlemail YouTube... I think! Then edit the videos on capture gallery before sharing them on YouTube...

... I'm very basic!!

what a weapon!
I checked his stats (he has a boastful greeting!). The guy has 700 poles and 300 wins! but has probably dropped to SR 0 a dozen times. Gonna watch how his whole race unfolded seeing as he actually gained SR (but finished about 12th)

*Watching from his car now, currently on L4, he's got about six people penalties and it's brake checking/blocking then driving into the wall, and doing what he did to me on S/F straight. It made Momoz look fair, and not once did he get a penalty for hitting another car. Completely gamed the penalty system

Total arse!

If you only have the replay as a saved replay in GT Sport then you'll need to record a playback of the replay.
So in GT Sport have the replay ready to play, then double tap the share button (which is the default setting) on the controller to start recording.
It will record exactly as you see it on the screen, so you can change cars, change views etc. as you wish and it records all of it.
At the end of the replay press the share button again and save as Video Clip.
Now you will have a video saved in the PS4's Capture Gallery.
In Capture Gallery you can highlight the video and press the share button and upload to Youtube exactly as the video is, or you could visit ShareFactory and make a few edits, add a start and finish clip, etc. and then upload to Youtube from there.

Took a light draft at the start, until the tunnel exit. Got alongside and was out front way before T1. Thought the Veyron that started 4th would catch up. The lead Huracan went in too hot for T1. I stayed to the outside and switch backed into P1 again. Gone for the rest of the race. Feels good just doing one race a day on this account.

A low 01:31 seems to be the best I can do on the ring. I really struggle in corner 4.

Started in 4th came in as 6th after losing 4 places in the first lap.

OK I guess.

Why are there time penalties in qualifying? Wouldn´t it make more sense just to disregard the lap you made the mistake in instead of making you slow down in the next lap?

cheers bud, i thought that might be the only way when i saw that saved replays don't appear in the PS gallery. 👍

I've found it to be about 50/50 with the average driving from the races I've been doing.

But maybe I'm lucky to be in reasonable groupings so far.
