Today the racing was bittersweet, didn't go too well in Sport mode but it was enough to raise my SR to A, and I absolutely killed it in lobby racing
Race C was what I did first, and going off my rigurous testing of my whole 4 Gr.1 cars I own, I decided to stick with the LM55. I was quicker in the 908 but not consistent, the SRT was behind both of them, and the R18 '11 is not worth even looking at...
And because of this great decision, I qualified third behind 2 TS050s and another one in fourth

, safe to say, I did finish fourth. The only advantage I had in the LM55 was the top end, much higher than the Toyota's and I was making up some time on the straights but losing it everywhere else.
And here's the funny part, the leader's best lap was a 3:25.7 I believe? In lap 2? Well since I was 20 seconds off third place and 40 seconds off fifth (dunno why that was the case

) I decided to relax and just run my course. I had saved enough fuel to go flat out on the last lap, like the Toyota's were doing, but I had worn tires. Guess what? I did a 3:26.2 (iirc), granted, still .6 seconds off the pace but... I was happy with that! And I still don't know how the heck I pulled that one off!
...still finished like, 20 seconds off the top three.
Race A though, was the kicker. I qualified in first, 3 tenths quicker than the australian in second (both in Sciroccos. Never tried it but I love it now!) He stuck to my tail nicely for a few laps so I figured "hey, this is a pretty good race we got here! I wonder if I'll be able to wi-" as I hear a proper, LOUD thud. 2 seconds later, I'm on the sand of the uphill hairpin corner that comes after the sweeping left hander. I get reset onto the track, wheelspinning off in fury and losing a lot of time to the australian driver who er... only got a 3 second penalty. With 1 lap to go, I got within .5 of a second to him. AND HE WON.
After the race, we "exchanged" a few words

According to him; I "braked early" at the hairpin and he "accidentally" hit me (bull freaking ****, I looked back at the replay and I braked even LATER than the cones, at the 100M marker), to which I counter argued 2 things, "so what? Your could've avoided me" (he was .5 seconds behind me due to understeering after the sweeper) and "at least give me the position back if it was on accident" to which he said literally nothing afterwards, but remained on the lobby to say "ok calm down pls". Calm down? Literally punted me off and you got the win undersevedly and I have to calm down? I then just said "ok. I hope someone else does it to you sometime, please learn to *ahem* not punt off someone who's ADMITTEDLY quicker than you. Thanks for everything, jack***." and then he said "ur being rude now"... well no **** I'm being rude. I just left at that point.
Great day today.
