This combo broke my spirit. Honestly lost count of how long it took me to bring the time down.

I might have been going super tryhard, especially after I saw Deafsun post a low 2:10 (and now high 2:09 at the time of this posting).

E: While I'm nowhere as fast as that guy, I dream that I can be one day. It's just my dumb-butt that thought it'd be a brilliant idea to try to get close to his time on an impossible combo like this and go insane in the process.

Aye, I can't imagine how much harder it is to get the lap right on the DS4. Y'all are the true warriors.
I'm surprised I didn't beat up my wheel after messing up so many times on this combo. It was more frustrating than some of the Time Trials on Nordschleife/24h and Tokyo Expressway South Inner Loop.

Thank you! :]

Us DS4 users simply go race without qualifying. Got a couple wins while the wheel users were too busy qualifying

because I used the Mégane.

To be fair, he had a point.

/s

It's amazing how short fuses are on people. I did a race in the Huracan and sadly brushed a Megane off at The Chase (misjudged my braking, totally my fault), flashed my hazards to apologise so he proceeds punt me off at Murray's Corner, 2 seconds for him.

I caught up to him on L2, passed him at Griffins but nope, I shouldn't have the right to pass him, apparently. He punts into me at The Cutting so another 2 seconds for him. Also hit me into the wall at Quarry Corner, another second. Later brake checked me going down Dipper. Luckily I could foresee him trying that since he was near the Penalty Zone. Result: he finishes dead last with a red SR A.

Good work though man, love your lap guides, keep it up 👍

Oh c'mon! His lap guides are crap. I mean... how can you have any faith in a guy who has the braking reminder light still visible? <hides behind Sven>

Right off the bat, the Belgian sitting on pole in my first race took to calling me pathetic and a "sheater" (sic) because I used the Mégane.

No, you were clearly sheating. Not because you were using the Megan, but because you were using "a car". :p Now I have TP, I'm off to do some sheating of my own .......

 How dare you!
But you know what; I had a flashing word on. You're right. Ima quit making guides, k goodbye. /s

:lol::lol::lol:

Yes! Go! and never darken our doorstep again mwahahaha!

I too have flashing words when I qualify/race..... it says "Slow Down" .......

Agreed love the mountain!
Why cant it be 5 or 6 laps though!!!!!
Or make it 4 times an hour or something. More laps preferably.

Race C at night 👍. .... Wet Race C at night :lol::lol::lol:.

@Illum_Concept, thanks for hosting the lobby for next week's St. Croix race preview. @Qyn, @Pigems, thanks for racing. That will be a fun race B. Too short, though.

Always a pleasure my man, sorry that I almost bumped you there at the end of the bridge, I forgot to account for the draft when picking a braking point and ended up bumping the guys ahead of me.

It seems I have a lot to learn at that track by Monday if I want to be at least half way competitive

Thanks for hosting man, that was a lot of fun. I suggest trying the GTR, that guy wasn’t lying, it’s a rocket ship around that track.

Awesome, will definitely try it, it just looks like such a brick! I went with the trusty Mustang which is always super stable, or at least it should be. Perhaps not in my hands though

@BaareCZ Great racing with you today. That one race where we were battling for 8 laps was incredible. I checked out your 15 sec penalty you got later on. I think what happened is, first you slammed the wall (5 sec) then you were scraping along it with your nose for over a second at least (wall riding 5 sec) then your car swept around and hit the other wall (5 sec). Impressive!

I managed a 10 sec penalty today. Coming up on the penalty zone a car with penalty wouldn't move off the racing line and the flashing yellow perfectly obscured/blended with the 200 distance marker. So by the time I spotted a distance marker it said 150 on it.
Did I make that guy waving the flag flinch?
naTTyyY.gif

I think I got 5 sec for the wall hit, and 5 sec for driving against traffic (the dq timer started to count down)

I finally got a victory with the Ford

It wasn't a very strong lobby. After the usual first couple chaotic laps I was in second chasing down the leader for the rest of the race. I was improving my lap time every lap and when it looked like I was going to catch him for lap 8, he made a mistake in lap 7, got 5 sec and quit. Then I set my best non drafting lap yet in the final lap, 2:13.924. A comfy 20 sec lead for the smoothest lap all week. Of course the next race I can't get under 2:15 and try to punch a hole in the back wall

Bro! I was trying to find someone to follow . Good races though should be fun.
I still have no idea what car to use. I guess by Monday morning, the aliens will show us.
I'll be right there with you lol.

Great fun 👍.

Dunno what changed down under, but Bathurst was incredibly clean tonight. I switched to the Cayman and surprisingly (because of the MR layout) have had some really stable and consistent races while only being a couple of tenths off my Jaguar pace.

It started out with a result some believed just couldn't be possible. A clean racing bonus.

And then followed shortly by a first place finish after switching to the F-Type to keep up with all the Meganes.

After this victory I got bumped up lobby wise and the next race I was placed in an A/A+ lobby including the #7 driver in the NA region. Full sweat. Of course I completely bottled that race and came in 15th. Overall pretty great night of racing.

There's too much gas in your fuel system. This guy explains it.

"You will be directed to perform a series of tests that will effectively raise the billable hours for the service department, but will perform no other useful function."

Flashbacks to my mechanic days intensifying

I think I am going to set up a test run for myself at St. Croix. I have no idea how to deal with Fuji in Gr. 1. I did ok there when it was Super Formula but not really aiming to go again so I think I'm willing to have a look at B. Anyone got any ideas so far of solid cars there to test?

I also never learn. At the pushing of my son I did a couple of races at the Mountain today. Ugh, night and day. Since my SR was holding onto A by 1 pt I thought I could ride at the back and only pass people when serving penalties. Riiiight. Autodrive glitch to set the start, I'm not affected but go around the blob to be 6th (from 17th) by the time we hit the start line. And then the fun starts. Barged wide at Hell, punted and barged at the next corner, wall slammed twice on the way up to the park. Yay!!! Was still holding on to 9th when I get blasted into the dipper and pick up a colliding with the wall penalty (only 3 sec) while the D driver who did it cruises on past. Get another one for running a car off the road as someone tried to pass me on the outside on that last high speed left before you start down the mountain. Another fun 3 sec. I finish 15th in a field of C and D drivers, and drop 15 SR and about 1200 DR thanks to the savages. Fun to see I was 1 of only 2 people to get red SR ratings in that craphole of a race.

Decide to qualify and see if I can leave those people behind, especially now that I'm going to be in argy bargy lobbies. Do a decidedly average lap that gets me 6th starting spot. Clean start, 2 guys immediately behind bin it on the start so no pressure from behind. A couple of guys up front get track limit penalties but a pretty clean race otherwise. No wall taps, no wiggles, finish 5th, CRB and I get a whopping 100 DR and 5 SR. Need to figure out what I'm going to do and see if I worry about being serious more or just realize I'm going to yo-yo around the SR a bit for now and deal with it.

Also noticed my GTS companion app doesn't update my history anymore. Happen to anyone else? All other stuff is current.

This is from a race I did earlier, today. I was driving a Subaru, which has less power, but better handling than most cars. The Ferrari had a run on me, so I moved over, and let him go on by. :mischievous: Having driven every car in the Gr.4 class, I knew his limitations, and made him take the outside on the next three turns. The plan worked out perfectly. I finished third, but was really proud that the plan worked out just like it was supposed to. 👍

Thought the GTS Companion app history was just my profile. Glad to see it isn't just mine.

You're about to drop a floater on the track, although I am curious to see if I simply couldn't get it to go because I am not very good
Oh, no doubt. Slow as heck, but I made it work everywhere else. A 650S was leaving me after the first esses of death. However, I was able to keep momentum and catch it back up towards the rise to the crossover, each lap. Stayed with it to the toll and tight line using 1st gear for the final turn. Which, gave me good acceleration to stay in the tow(when I got one). At the end of Lap 7, the 650S t-bones into the armco exiting the final turn.

The Peugeot is fast, but why use it if you don't know how to use it?

An NSX and VGT were so slow and using the brakes, instead of getting off the gas. Those dudes were t-boning on their own, into the gutters and I get 5 seconds.

I love this race. Love driving in the rain, but some players need more training.

I thought you'd be hammering Bathurst. You graduated from Gr4 specialist?
 My daughter had a sleepover. Had to put the game on hold.

This guy

He served his penalty down conrod. The train of cars that passed me, I latched onto them and we passed the Megane. I got held up by a Scirocco coming out of T1 and the Megane got a run on me. I t passed the cars ahead as they saw the need to let it through like it was the queen. Made some strong moves to pass the Atenza and TT on the final lap. Finished just behind the Megane. RC F so strong from The Cutting to Forest's Elbow.
