I guess so. I just didn't care, since I went into it extremely low expectations. I felt no differently after finishing 14th in that race than I did in the following race, where I finished 4th.

It's a track that I really wanted to be good at, but I'm just not. :indiff: Oh well. I still enjoy driving there. :)

“I guess I'll go start looking for exploits at Spa.”

There is this, I haven’t quite found the right way to hit it going up the hill yet. :D

Not bad.
I can almost full throttle it in the Gr.3 AMG, but not quite. Maybe the Beetle or RCZ can do it.
I think we'll be seeing some fantastic wrecks there.
Also, the final chicane will be a punter's paradise.
Eventually the dirty drivers are gonna figure out if the penalty time for pushing somebody there is less than the time the other guy loses.

Maybe I can buy some land up North and re-create the ring in Canada. Got to go shop for a bulldozer and find a you tube video how to build a race track. What's the recipe for asphalt.

Seriously I would be poor if I lived near that track. How much for an all access season pass

Drivers can also purchase a yearly pass, which costs 1900 Euros and allows unlimited access

Damn that's not as much as I thought it would be.

It used to be much cheaper.

DR, matchmaking and penalty system are so broken lol. Another example just from my race notes

12:00 S17 F05 8:30.234 SR 99 DR 47244 No Stop, Lexus 17, CRB, Great race
12:30 S15 F09 8:34.957 SR 86 DR 46626 No Stop, Lexus 17, 2 x 5 sec penalty from track re-entries, brake checks, rammed off at the end
13:00 S13 F02 8:32.541 SR 86 DR 46557 No Stop, Lexus 17, FL, Dirty chaos lap 1, bumped bumped bumped, rammed off lap 2

Two BS penalties from track re-entries in the middle of traffic (nowhere to go) touching me and crashing again, of course 5 sec since my DR is so high send me to the low SR.S room. I was the only DR.A there. Normally when you qualify you get an easy pole to flag victory (Nearly everyone pitted and first was only 8:23 qualifier). However from the back, chaos, cars coming from everywhere while getting bumped all over the place. Then in lap 2 a Brazilian rams me into the wall, and thanks to the DR difference he only gets 1 second. Still plenty to pass him at the penalty zone but lost my run on first and -70 DR for finishing second. Neutral SR from all the bumping thus back to the chaos room.

Now if I had been disconnected in that room with all B C and D drivers :nervous: That's up to 3,040 DR lost.

Starting 14th of 19 next, two other DR.A in the room this time.

Phew, out of the danger zone, back to the high SR.S room

13:30 S14 F01 8:27.465 SR 91 DR 46790 No Stop, Lexus 17, FL, Chaos lap 1, 11 sec lead at finish

Popped on for a couple of laps and into the 16s with the AMG. Wish I had the time to get some racing done.

Bummed to see it’s just another fuel saving race without other viable strategies. Giving RM’s as an option would’ve made next week much more interesting
I'll definitely be pitting.
I hate the idea of going slow on purpose, which I realize is the winning strategy for C races nowadays.
I get more enjoyment out of pushing it to the max.
I'll be a DR donor.

Well I know it's a Sunday when I end up with 11 seconds of penalties on the first lap, lol. 1st: 2 wide at Kesselchen with a Beetle next to me, he pushes into me (might've been bumped from behind), goes off the track and kisses the wall. I get 5 sec while he's ahead with little to no time loss.

2nd: I lost it at Stefan-Bellof-S. I was ghosted, tried to move over as much as I could, unghost and the driver behind still manages to hit me and goes off road so 3 sec. 3rd: I thought I'd go through a ghost at Schwalbenschwanz but nope, misjudged my ghost > unghost timing and hit him off so that's on me. Fun times.

Race itself: I started 12th in the RCZ which is comparable to the 4C for fuel; flexible at FM1 with 70 - 75% short shifting and solid around the Nordschleife area. I went up positions by passing wrecks and 2 people on the last straight with one of them running out of fuel. Ended 8th.

Managed to squeeze a race C in during some downtime. Worked my way through the field and sat patiently behind P4 heading into Aremberg, eyeing a second place finish. Spaniard behind me just drives into the back of me and sends me through the gravel into the wall. Game then resets me 200 yards back up the road so I lose about 4 more positions. Race over. Rolled around the remaining lap and three-quarters and finish 4th. 8:28 2nd lap balancing the fuel with no tow. Winner did an 8:21, so 2nd would have been as good as I could have done. Hopefully more time on Spa next week.

Wow! A whole week of failing miserably, that was painful to watch:D. Great edit, lot of work only to show the pain.👍

Welcome to the mayhem of online racing!
That mean you are pretty fast. You will be up the DR chart shortly and the victory will be harder to get.
Cheers for the kind words. I'll just keep trying to be consistent and hopefully the A rating will come, along with a much lower win ratio no doubt haha!! I'd rather have really tight races anyway much more satisfying and better for the ol' driving skills in the long term ...

From my test runs fuel saving was much harder than at Nurburgring this past week. I had to shift 10-25% and barely made it across in the AMG. At Nurburgring I was shifting at 50% with excess to burn at the end. With eight laps it should be easier to run riskier strategies since you'll have plenty of opportunities to pit. I guess we'll see how it plays out, but it should be a more viable strategy than this past week.

Just had another win get away from me. Leader went 2 wheels off before the top of the hill & when he got it under control he was right in the middle of the track & I had nowhere to go. One slam, 3 seconds, second place.

Another week in the books. Race C was good fun, but horrifying when it went wrong. Race B was more of my groove this week, even with Willow being an inch from dirt racing at all times. Best finishes were 6th and 2nd respectively. Not too special, but enough to inch my DR back closer to A rank.

Yes I complain a lot but I'm seriously getting tired of having to drive ultra defensively through every corner to prevent nimrod drivers from seeing a bit of tarmac and foaming at the mouth. You aren't Senna, you aren't good, just back off and drive sensibly.

Unfortunately the AMG is not the best of choices for a no stop...

I've made it work with the Porsche, RCZ, 458 and NSX... But as you said, the fuel saving is so severe that it feels much slower than pitting...
I think lower DRs will have to pit while in higher split lobbies they'll have to no stop.... DR B lobbies should be fun...

I can't see this uphill with cockpit camera
Same boat here... I have resorted to lifting, it's much slower, but also much safer...
